The Case

Sherlcok dashed through the NSY to get to Lestrade's office. The DI was sitting on his chair and a folder was in front of him.

"Sherlock, take this. A very hard cold case." he said.

"Dull!" Sherlock groaned.

He took the heavy folder and went through it. John and Lestrade saw a smile of eagerness slowly creep on his face, ear to ear.

"Gavin! That's a 9!" He cried. John leaned in to see what was written.

5 murders, cause unknown. Complety different from each other, no evidence on scene, no suspects and no witnesses.

Murder 1:

Paul Sussman, age 28, killed about at 2:00 in the afternoon.

Murder 2:

Miss Jasmene Hasthrone, age 34, killed about at 12:00 at night.

Murder 3:

Proffesser Mark Jefferson, age 42, killed about at 6:00 in the morning.

Murder 4:

Henry Wright, age 32, killed about at 9 in the morning.

Murder 5:

Isabel Lucas Vernet, age 13, killed about at 6:00 in the evening.

They all looked at Sherlock for answers.

"This is the work of Moriarty! Proffesser Mark Jefferson, Henry, Isabel makes up: Proffesser from murder 3, J from murder 1, M from Mark, H from Henry, I from Isabel. Proffesser JM. Hi = Proffesser Jim Moriarty, Hi. But how did he survive? Ah! There was a pouch of blood on the back of his neck. The gun was fake. The trigger acted like a button for the pouch to explode. He probably signaled to one of his snipers to shoot a bullet next to him. The siganal was putting the gun in his mouth. Now I realize that the blood flowed, not splattered. A 10!" Sherlock replied pacing around, while the other two regianed their composure.

Back at 221, Mrs. Hudson told them that a package came a few hours ago. Sherlock and John opened it and inside was a small note:

Sherlock was lost in thought. He collapsed on the sofa and went in his mind palace. John looked up from his laptop and said,

"Any progress?"

"Yes,"replied Sherlock, "SM means Sebestian Moran and it is dated the day of the fall. The devil probably means-" He cut off.

"Hm?"

"I-I think that I need to leave this case." He stammered.

"It's okay, you start years later." They both laughed.

Mary and CAM passed.TFP passed.But the case? The file was abandoned, collecting dust. The case was forgotten.
