The Label wants Loren Chapter 7
Loren pays for the pizza; she places it on the table Mel turns towards Eddie. "It was an accident, I went to the storage area in the back to put the twin's stroller away, I heard voices, I saw Chloe and Tyler, they were kissing and laughing, I had my video camera and I recorded them, I'm sorry, I thought it was the thing to do."
"Were you following her?"
Mel furrows her eyes. "No, I didn't expect to find them hiding back there, I stopped recording and walked away the moment things were getting too intimate."
He looks Loren. "You saw them a few weeks ago?"
She downcast her look. "Yes, at Jake and Kelly's office several times, Mel caught them today, I knew this would hurt you Eddie, that's why I didn't want to say anything."
He's quiet; his fiancé's a fraud, she said she loved him. "I had to hear for myself; sorry I interrupted your dinner."
Loren places her hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry, you deserve better." She knows he's hurting.
He looks at her. "Thanks."
She tries to comfort him. "You're the only one that wants this relationship to work; you're the only one that cares."
He walks out and closes the door behind him. Loren looks at Mel. "See! He's hurt!"
"He'll be fine Loren."
"Did you see his face? This is killing him!" Loren adds with sadness.
Loren looks out the window, he's gone. He stops at Chloe's place, he knocks and there's no answer. He takes the key out of his wallet. He lets himself inside and sits to wait for Chloe; if he has to wait all night for her to get home, he's will.
A few hours later, Chloe and Tyler are finally home, it's dark. They're laughing and kissing exiting Tyler's car. Eddie can hear them coming and stands by the door.
"Are you coming in for a night cap?" She asks and kisses Tyler.
Tyler kisses her back; he leans in closer. "If you want I could stay a little longer?"
"I've told you it's not safe Ty, Eddie might show up, then what?"
Tyler kisses Chloe, the door swings open, their eyes widen at the sight of Eddie staring at them, he looks at Chloe. "I see you're very happy."
Chloe tries to stop him. "Where are you going?" She holds his arm; Eddie pushes her hand away.
"Don't touch me Chloe, we're done, it's obvious that it's Tyler you want to be with."
Tyler rolls his eyes and walks ahead of Chloe. "It's time you found out."
"How long have you been doing this?" He asks, he's calm, while waiting for her to arrive, he had time to think about everything; now he understands why he can never get a hold of her, everything makes sense.
Chloe paces back and forth, she feels the need to say something, she's shocked Eddie's very calm, she's sure he'd punch Tyler, or make a huge scene. She looks at Eddie. "Can we talk?"
He laughs. "You're kidding right? You and I have nothing to talk about."
Eddie heads towards the door. Chloe tries to follow him, Tyler stops her, and pulls her back. "It's over Chloe, I'm glad, it's time he knows."
"I'm was going to marry Eddie." She claims.
Tyler laughs. "Guess what? Not happening!"
Chloe walks to the window and sees Eddie getting into his car. "He doesn't care; now what?"
"You know what? I'm leaving too, you need to make up your mind." Tyler slams the door behind him.
Chloe doesn't move, her world is crumbling, she was going to be successful, she had many plans, movies and TV shows because she was Eddie Duran's fiancé, now, everything's gone, there's no need to hide anymore. She looks at her beautiful engagement ring. She ruined everything.
Eddie drives for a while; he stops at Rumor for a drink, he sits at the bar quiet. Memories flooding back to the day he met Chloe, he was recording his latest video that was released later that year, Chloe was part of the girls hired to dance in his latest video, he was smitten by her beauty, she seemed kind and sweet. A sudden touch on his arm brings him back to reality. "What are you doing here Pops?"
"I know I'd find you here, I came to check on you."
He lets out a huge sigh; Max knows he's hurting. "Where did you go?"
Eddie leans on the bar and turns away. "I went to see Loren and Mel, then, I went to see Chloe."
Max's unsure if he should continue to question his son, he can tell Eddie's upset, but he has to know.
"What did Chloe say?"
Eddie nods. "I waited for her to come home, she arrived with Tyler, I caught them kissing, there's no need to look for more proof, we're done Pops."
"I'm sorry son, I really am, I knew something wasn't right."
Eddie takes another drink from his glass, he looks at his father. "I know you and mom never liked her, I'm sure you're happy, you were right."
"She was using you to get ahead on her career; you were the only one that serious in that relationship."
He takes the last drink from his glass and gets up. "I guess so, I want to be alone Pops, I'll see you and mom later."
Max trails behind him. "Don't be a stranger."
Eddie walks away; it's evident he's hurting. "I have to work with Loren, Jake wants us to do another duet, I need to be alone with my thoughts, I'll keep in touch Pops."
Max hugs his son. "If you need to talk you know where you can find me."
He smiles, and walks towards his car. Max doesn't move until he drives away.
Loren and Eddie continue to work together; the song she wrote is a hit as a duet.
He looks at the lyrics. "You have what it takes, this is amazing work."
"Thanks, your kind words mean a lot to me."
"My mom was right, it's up to you now, you have to decide how far you want to get in this business, it's not easy, I know you can do it."
"You've been very sweet since day one; I really appreciate your support."
"And I appreciate you; you're a great friend Loren."
She downcast her look, it's hard to look him in the eyes.
Within a few weeks, Loren and Eddie rehearse and record their newest song, it will be released in Eddie's next album, and Loren's first album, Eddie's having a show at the Avalon, Loren will open for him. She'll perform five songs, all written by her, the crowd gives her a standing ovation, she waves to the crowd, Eddie joins her and they sing the duet, "If there was no music" written by Loren.
Loren stands on one side with the mic and Eddie starts to dance on stage. He grabs her hand and twirls her around and they being to sing.

The song continues with Eddie dancing around Loren, she follows his steps and dances around him, he holds her hand and twirls her again, the crowd's into the song, they dance and jump where they stand.
Loren and Eddie end the song, they hold hands and smile. The reaction of the crowd to their newest song is incredible.
She waves good-bye and exits the stage, Eddie talks to the crowd, he begins his set of songs. Mel waits for Loren behind stage and hugs her. "You were amazing; you were great, you kept up with Eddie."
Loren wipes her forehead and hugs her. "You think so; I know they loved the song."
Nora walks in with Katy. "You killed it girl!"
"Thanks Katy." Loren looks towards her mom, they hug. "You were amazing; you sound like you've been doing this all of your life sweetie."
"I feel like I have, I'm really enjoying this mom."
Katy holds Mel's hand and pulls her towards Loren. "We're going to MK afterwards to celebrate your amazing night Loren; my phone hasn't stopped ringing."
Nora looks at her daughter. "I'm very proud of you."
"Thanks mom, you always believed in me."
A few hours later, Eddie heads to MK. A few friends of the Duran's are there along with those associated with the label.
Loren looks around, there's no sign of Eddie. Mel notices, and pokes her side. "Who are you looking for?"
Loren bites her lower lip. "Looking for Eddie."
"I can tell you're falling for him."
"Does it really matter? I'm a great friend to him, I don't know if I can handle that, I want something more than a friendship, I want to show him how true love feels, I can make him happy, but, it doesn't matter Mel, he will always love her."
"I'm sorry Lo, you have a way of looking at him, your eyes give you away."
Loren sits in one of the stools. "I've gotten to know him, while we rehearse, while we record, he sits with me while I finish with a song, he's kind, sweet, I've come to know the real Eddie, the Eddie no one really knows, Chloe was stupid, how could she cheat on him? I see pain in his eyes, he's still hurting Mel."
"You're a great friend."
Loren hesitates, she looks at her best friend. "Am I crazy to want something more?"
"He's a free man, you have to give him time, you realize he's still hurting from Chloe's betrayal. You've seen the gossip magazines making it sound like Eddie's at fault."
"I don't care what they say, you and I know the truth, she never loved him, when you really love someone, you don't treat them like she treated Eddie."
Kelly interrupts their conversation. "I have good news for you Loren, the label Eddie is signed too, they want to sign you too, they'll release your first album it's done, what do you say? Do want to sign with them?"
Loren hugs Kelly. "Omg, are you serious?"
"I knew it'd be a matter of time before they realize they want you on the team."
"Of course, what do you suggest?"
"I have to go over the contract with you, it's the same one Eddie has, it's the real deal Loren, once you sign, you'll tour and open for Eddie."
Mel squeezes her hand. "Go for it Lo."
Loren looks at Kelly. "As long as you're on this ride with me Kelly! Then I'm in."
"Girl, I'm your manager, Katy is on board too, if you want to talk to her before you sign with the label go ahead."
"No, I'm sure she'll agree, she's excited about getting me out there, I owe you and Katy so much for your help."
"You'll always have our support Loren." Kelly assures her.
Nora and Katy stop by. "We just heard the good news Loren, go for it!" Katy says.
Loren smiles. "You heard Kelly, where do I sign?"
A sudden noise at the front door makes everyone turn. Eddie's waltzing in with a girl on his arm, they're very cozy, Loren sighs.
Katy heads towards her son. "You're finally here." She looks at the girl hanging from Eddie's arm. "Hey mom, this is Leah." He looks at her. "This is my mom." Katy can tell he's had a few drinks.
Leah smiles. "Nice to meet you Katy."
"I prefer Mrs. Duran; Eddie can I talk to you privately?" Katy's upset.
He rolls his eyes; he looks at Leah. "Excuse me." They take a few steps. "What's up?"
"You've been drinking, why are you here with her? We're celebrating Loren tonight."
"Go ahead and celebrate, I'm here with a date, nothing serious, just a date."
"Didn't you learn anything from Chloe?"
He smiles. "I'm not getting engaged, I'm on a date, get used to it momma, I may never get serious again."
"You don't mean that!"
"Not in my time, Pops was very fortunate when he met you, I'm not going to go through that again, from now on, I'm a new Eddie, going to date and have fun."
Loren's quiet and watches from afar, she can tell Katy's upset, Mel knows this is bothering Loren. "Are you ok?"
"I'm trying; looks like he wasted no time to find someone else."
"He's Eddie Duran; there's a long line of girls willing to date him."
"Yeah I know." People react when the door to MK opens, a tall blonde appears.
"Oh oh, it's going to be a long night." Mel smirks, her eyes glance towards Eddie who turns to see Chloe Carter standing in the door way.
Katy sighs and nods. "Looks like she's not giving up."
Jake runs towards him. "What do you want me to do Eduardo?"
"I have nothing to say to her, call security, get her out of here."
Chloe walks towards Eddie, pleading to talk to him. "Can we talk? We haven't been able too."
"You and I have nothing more to say Chloe, please leave."
"You never let me explain what really happened."
"More lies Chloe, get out!" He grabs Leah's hand and heads towards the bar. Jake stops next to Chloe with security in tow. "Get her out of here, make sure she doesn't come back."
"Ma'am, either you leave now, or we'll help you walk out."
Chloe looks at them and walks out. The music starts, Eddie's still holding Leah's hand, they walk to the center of the room and dance, he's holds her very close. Loren wants to run; she turns to walk away and a hand grabs her arm. Jason is standing in front of her; he smiles and asks. "Dance with me?"
Mel looks at Jason and back to Loren, she hasn't felt comfortable around him, there are many eyes on her, she fakes a smile and walks to the center of the dance floor with him. They start to dance; other couples follow suit. Jason pulls Loren close but she pushes him away, she places a safe distant between them.
"I'm grateful you said yes, I think you're beautiful."
"Thanks Jason."
Her eyes slowly turn towards Eddie who's enjoying the dance with Leah, her heart sinks, Jason smiles. "He's going to be trouble."
