Las Vegas here we come chapter 9

"Can we talk?" She asks Eddie.

Eddie shakes his head in disbelief. "We have nothing to talk about."

Chloe takes a deep breath and glares at Loren. "The nanny hangs from your arm."

"Her name is Loren Tate, if you move we can continue our way into the Theatre."

"You haven't given me a chance to explain."

"Explain what? I know what I saw nice and clear, the video of you and Tyler was very clear, get lost Chloe, you know where you belong."

He holds Loren's hand and they walk around Chloe who stands there in disbelief, she watches Katy and Max walk around her too. Chloe won't give up, she follows them. "I swear if you don't stop and talk to me right now, I'm going to make a big scene."

Eddie stops, he's still holding Loren's hand, he walks towards the paparazzi, he takes the chip out of his pocket and hands it to them. "Here, now you'll know why Chloe Carter and I broke up."

Chloe's jaw literally drops, she tries to get the chip from them, they take off towards their vehicles, anything Eddie Duran gives them is worth watching.

Chloe walks away and pushes the reporters that stand in front of her.

Inside the theater, Katy's in shock. "Did you give them the chip of Chloe and Tyler?"

"Yes, I think that'll keep her away for a long time."

Loren looks at him. "Remind me never to piss you off."

Eddie laughs. "No worries Loren, you're here to hand out Awards, concentrate on doing the best job, forget about Chloe."

Katy guides Loren to the part of the stage where she'll stand and wait. The MAC's start, they're live, a lot of famous nominated musicians are present, Loren tries to remain calm; many musicians walk around the back area, she's instructed how to hand the statues to the winners. She stands next to the Master of Ceremonies and hand each winner their award.

One by one, each winner is announced, some share jokes, others have a sheet of paper with many people to thank, many accept the award and wave, some dance their way to their statuette. They flirt, smile and kiss Loren after she hands them their MAC statuette. It's time for Eddie's category, several artists have been nominated, once again, Eddie's the winner, he walks to where she's standing to get his award, he looks amazing, he's wearing dark blue denim jeans, a royal blue t-shirt and Jacket, he gives Loren a kiss on the cheek, she hands him his award. He says a few words to the audience walks back, Loren trails behind him, the show goes on for another two hours.

It's close to midnight when Loren's heading home in the Limo with Eddie and his parents.

"You were amazing; may I add that you looked better than most of the winners. "Katy adds.

"Thank you, this was Kelly's doing." Loren adds.

Eddie sits back inside the Limo. "My mom is right; you look really beautiful tonight."

Loren's blushing; a tint of pink hovers over her whole face, she down cast her look. "Thanks."

Katy reaches for her hand. "This is only the beginning, I'm very proud of you."

"Thank you for believing in me."

"We have a lot of work ahead of us, are you ready to fly to Vegas with us? This means you're releasing your first album very soon."

"I'm ready, even though this is moving too fast."

Katy smiles. "Did you ever see yourself doing this instead of a lawyer?"

"The more I do it, the more I know I love it Katy."

Eddie leans back and closes his eyes. Max's phone buzzes, his eyes widen when he sees what's on. "Yikes! The clip of Chloe cheating made every media, it's going viral."

He laughs. "She wanted to talk; now she can talk to them."

Loren looks at Katy, then back to Eddie. "Can that ruin her career?"

"She wanted fame, guess what? She's getting it now. "Eddie smirks.

The limo stops at Loren's home, she moves her dress to get out of the Limo, Eddie jumps out and holds her hand so she can get out safely. "Thank you for a lovely evening; I met many amazing artists."

"You're on your way Loren." Max assures her.

"Thank you Max, you're very sweet, good night everyone."

Eddie walks her to the door. "See you tomorrow Loren, we have to go over the list for the show in Vegas."

"I'll be at Kelly's by 9."

He winks, and walks back to the limo, Loren walks into her home smiling. Nora's asleep on the nearby sofa. Loren nudges her lightly. "I'm home."

"Hey sweetie, how was it? I saw you on TV, you did a great job."

"You think so?"

"Yes, you look better than the winners."

"Did you see Eddie won again?"

"Yes, was that the best part? He kissed you on the cheek while you handed him his award, or the fact that he was your date."

Loren bites her lower lip. "Both, he was super sweet tonight, Chloe showed up."

Nora giggles. "I saw a something on the news, how did they get the clip of her and Tyler together?"

Loren sits next to her. "Eddie gave it to them."

"What?"

"She kept insisting on talking with him, he walked towards the reporters and gave them the chip."

"Not a good idea to upset him huh?"

Loren giggles. "That's what I said, listen, I'm going to bed, I'm exhausted, good night."

"Good night sweetie, sweet dreams." Nora can tell her daughter had a lovely evening.

The following morning, Loren's at Madsen's office at 8:45; she's going over a list of songs for their Vegas trip in a few weeks. She starts to sing some of the songs while playing the piano, her eyes are closed, she's singing with emotion, she's on her way to become a music artist, she's inspired, she's written more songs. Her list consists of 12 songs, her first album will contain the whole set, she's sure they'll be a hit.

She feels a pair of hands on her shoulder. She smiles, she's sure it's Eddie. "You're late, you said 9."

"Really?" She jumps out of her seat when she realizes it's Jason. "Omg don't do that?"

"I thought you said I was supposed to be here at 9?"

She looks at him. "I thought you were Eddie; where is he? It's after 9."

"Looks like Mr. Casanova stood you up."

"It's not a date Jason; we're going over a list of songs for our show in Vegas."

"Wow, now, it's your show, looks like you're becoming one of them."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

Jason steps closer to her. "You like him don't you?"

"That's none of your business, please step back."

"I see the way you look at him, that dude has all the luck in the world, he can have any girl he wants, but you know what? I'm not letting him have you."

Loren's nervous, the way he's looking at her makes her very uncomfortable, the moment they met, he's been trouble, she scans her surroundings, she realizes they're alone.

"Please leave; Eddie will be here any minute."

"Not until you agree to go out with me."

Loren tries to move out of his way. "I don't have to agree to anything with you, I'm asking you nicely to leave the room."

"Or what? I'm tired of girls like you thinking they're all that, I'm asking for a date, one date Loren, can you be nice about it."

"I don't owe you anything, I'm not going to any date with you."

"I bet if Eddie asked you'd say yes, wouldn't you?" He snaps sarcastically at her, the way he's looking at her makes Loren more uncomfortable, she looks around her surroundings wondering if anyone is in the office, she knows Jake and Kelly are upstairs in their Condo, how can she get their attention with Jason eyes glaring towards her.

She tries to move, he stops her by holding her arm tight, he pulls her closer to him. "I swear you better let go of my arm, I'll scream, let go of me!"

"In case you haven't noticed, I'm a pretty big guy, you fit perfectly in my arms."

He pulls her towards him, he has Loren at eye level, she pulls back, he's holding her by her arms. "Let go of me!"

"No not until you agree to go out with me."

"I swear I'm going to scream, let go of me!"

"Who's going to hear you? There's no one here."

Loren loosens one of her arms and hits Jason in the face. "Let go of me NOW!"

He holds his cheek where Loren hit him. "Now you're asking for it, I don't give up easily, when I want something, I get it, now you're going to know what it feels like to be on my bad side."

He pulls Loren closer to him and kisses her; she hits him again, screaming for help. "Stop it Jason, let go of me you stupid jerk, HELP!" She's screaming

He laughs and pulls her into another kiss. "Stop it, HELP!" He tries tugging at her top.

A hand grabs Jason by the arm. "Let go of her!"

He lets go of Loren, she falls to the floor, her top tears off, Eddie hits Jason in the face, he falls to the ground, he gets up and runs towards him. "You know I've wanted to hit you the moment I met you, you think you're every girl's gift, you piece of…" But before he can finish his sentence, Eddie hits him hard again, he falls hard to the ground.

Jason gets up, he's bleeding. "I'm not done with you Duran!" He runs out of the office.

Loren holds her torn top, Eddie helps her up, she's crying and hugs Eddie. "You saved my life." Jake walks in. "What's going on?" Kelly trails behind him. "Are you ok Loren?"

Loren's sobs leaning on Eddie's chest. Kelly gets close enough to talk to her. "Did he hurt you?"

Jake heads outside looking for Jason. Loren's crying and shaking, she can't mutter a word.

"I got here on time." Eddie helps her sit, he takes his jacket off and covers her. "Do you want to go to the hospital?"

He kneels down to her eye level, Loren looks at him. "No I'm ok, just scared, I thought he was going to hurt me." She holds Eddie's jacket.

"It's ok, we got here on time, I'm sorry, I knew he was trouble, didn't think he'd try anything like this." Kelly hugs Loren.

Jake returns. "He got away, I called the police, I hope they can apprehend him, I gave them all the info I had."

Eddie walks back with some water for Loren. "Thank you."

"If you want to go home, it's ok Loren?" Kelly adds.

"No Kelly, I'm feeling better, thank you."

Katy walks in with a bag. "I have breakfast for everyone." She sees Loren has been crying. "What happened?"

Kelly and Jake tell her what almost happened. "I'm so sorry Loren."

"I'm ok Katy."

"We can do this tomorrow?"

"No." Loren gets up. "I'm feeling better, I'd rather work."

"Let me get you a top Loren." Kelly goes to her Condo.

Katy looks at Loren. "Are you sure? You're still shaking?" She hugs her.

"I'll be ok, I promise."

Kelly gives Loren a top, she sits for a bit and tries to eat something, a few hours later, Katy, Loren and Eddie prepare a list of songs for their Vegas show. Hours later, Katy and Eddie are worried about Loren, she seems fine, they ask her to go home and rest.

"Eddie will drive you home."

"I have my car here, I'll be ok."

"There's no way you're driving home alone with that idiot on the loose, I'll follow Eddie, he'll drive your car." Katy looks at her son waiting for him to respond, he notices. "Yes of course, you're not leaving this place alone Loren."

Katy gets her bag. "Go wait in your car Loren, let me talk to Kelly, I'll see you both outside."

Loren and Eddie leave, Katy gets her phone and calls Nora to let her know what happened earlier with Jason.

Loren's walking to her car with Eddie in tow, she hears someone call her. "Loren! Wait up!"

She turns, Eddie stays at her side. She smiles. "Hey, what are you doing here?"

It ends here today!
