The Vegas Show Chapter 11
Be patient, this story will be longer than 20-25 chapters, maybe 30. Leddie will happen.

Katy gives the girls a tour of the Condo. "You two will have the top level, there is a huge bedroom, with a master bath, a walk-in closet, please get settled, I will have dinner delivered.
"Thanks Katy."
The girls take the stairs that lead to the top floor, they're at awe with the beauty of the room. "Omg Lo, this room is bigger than your whole house." Mel says.
"I thought it was a regular bedroom, we have a TV sitting room, two huge beds, look at this closet."
Mel's eyes widen. "I could live here forever."
"Yeah you and me without a problem, we need a kitchen, and we're set."
This bathroom is amazing, we have our own sink, there's a walk in shower and look at that tub."
"One day I will be able to afford something like this; my mom won't have to work anymore."
Mel looks at her best friend. "You will Lo, you're going to be huge, like Eddie."
"No, he's the best of the best; I could never fill those shoes."
Mel sighs. "Yes you will, he's not that perfect."
"Wish I could help him, he needs to have real love in his life."
"You're a good friend Lo."
Loren looks at her best friend, she tears. "The moment I heard him on the radio I knew he was special, never imagined I'd meet him, let alone perform with him, I've gotten to know him, not many people have that chance, I love him, I don't want to be his friend, I will always want something more." She looks at Mel. "I want him to look at me the way he looked at Chloe; am I asking for too much?"
Mel sighs. "No sweetie, you deserve to be happy, I hope he'll realize how special you really are, and love as much as you love him, you deserve it."
"Aww thanks Mel, you're the best."
Katy calls out. "Dinner is served."
"Come on Mel, we can't keep Katy waiting." They run down the stairs. Max, Eddie and Ian wait at the table, they sit and enjoy their dinner.
Eddie scheduled weekend shows in Las Vegas start on Friday. Loren rehearses at the theatre they're performing at, she goes over the dance steps to some of her songs, they'll perform their duet, she's getting good when they dance to the song.
Kelly walks in, Loren takes a drink of water. "You're doing great, that's it for today, get ready for tonight."
Loren grabs the small towel that sits on the chair. "Thanks Kelly, I'm hitting the showers, I'll be ready for make-up and wardrobe." She walks to her dressing room; she runs into Katy.
She smiles. "I'm ready for tonight."
Katy can tell something is bothering Loren. "What's wrong?"
"This is surreal Katy; I don't want to disappoint you or Eddie, this auditorium is huge, many fans will be watching us."
"You're going to be great, you did great in San Francisco, this is only the beginning, we'll head East, the Midwest, and the southern states very soon, every fan will love you as much as they love Eddie."
"You always know what to say, thank you Katy."
"The label called, your first album was released, this Vegas trip will help get you to the top, I'll leave you alone for a while, go over your playlist, you and Eddie will rock it tonight."
"I love it when the fans sing and dance with us, it's going to be an amazing night with Eddie." Loren sighs.
"Give Eddie time, he's still healing from Chloe's betrayal, he's a one-woman kind of guy, you'll see it very soon."
"I'm going to go and get ready."
Katy closes the door behind her. Loren looks through her list of songs; she remembers the dance steps. Her album's released, so much going on, so many things running through her head, after her shower she heads to make-up and wardrobe, her hair's straighten, light make-up, she's wearing the coolest hot pants ensemble. Mel walks into her dressing room.
"Wear these boots, I think they will complete your outfit for tonight's performance." Loren puts them on, she dances while turning around, Eddie walks out of his room, he smiles when he sees Loren. "You look hot girl."
She blushes. "I'm ready!"
Jake walks in. "Hey guys the show is about to start; you have a full house."
Eddie turns towards Loren. "Let's go."
He holds her hand; they walk on stage to an auditorium full of screaming fans. They start with their popular duet, (If there was no Music), Loren dances around Eddie, he swings her around while they sing, Loren looks amazing, doing every step perfectly alongside Eddie. When they're done, the fans scream louder for more. Eddie sits at the piano, Loren stands next to him while they perform (One day at a time). They look at each other while they sing, they finish the song perfectly, Loren sits next to Eddie on the piano, they hold hands and wave to the fans.
Eddie walks off stage, Loren performs her set. After she's done, Eddie steps out on stage with his own set of songs, after 2 hours, the show's over. Loren waits with Mel. After he's done, he waves to Loren to join him, she stands next to him on stage, they wave to the fans.
"Thanks everyone." They hold hands and exit the stage. Katy and Max are waiting, Katy hugs Loren. "You two were amazing."
Their shows continue every weekend, they're "sold out" Jake tells them they have to stay another month, more fans return to watch them over and over.
Loren can't step out of the area without being recognized, she's asked to sign autographs. She's inspired and writes more songs. The extra month in Vegas is coming to an end.
"This is our last weekend in Vegas, where are we going next?" Mel wonders.
" I think L.A. we were supposed to be here for one month, we sold out immediately, we have to stay another month, Jake and Kelly haven't said where we're going next."
"I can get use to this." Mel adds.
"I know, I'm glad we have the Duran's Condo, it feels like home."
"Ian asked me to a movie, I hope its ok?"
Loren looks at Mel. "Really? How long has this been going on?"
"Well, we have been flirting back and forth, you know me, I'm not going to sit and wait for him to make the first move."
Loren rolls her eyes. "I know, go and have fun, I'll be here."
"You want to come with us?"
"No, not going to be a third wheel; I'll relax, and watch a few TV shows."
Mel grabs her bag and walks out. Loren goes into the kitchen to make some tea; she waits for the water to heat up.
Max walks in. "Hey Loren, staying in tonight?"
"Yes, Mel went to the movies with Ian, I'm playing catch up with my TV shows."
"Katy and I are going to watch a movie; you're more than welcome to join us."
She loves how attentive he is. "I appreciate it the invite, I'll be upstairs."
She grabs her cup of tea and heads towards the stairs, she hears the back door open. "Wait here Sonya, let me get the keys."
She sighs, it's Eddie with a new girl. She's quietly goes upstairs, she doesn't want to be noticed by Eddie and his latest fling. She hears the back door close, she walks towards the window. He's taking his motorcycle out of the garage, he takes off with Sonya sitting behind him.
She turns the TV on, she takes small sips of her hot tea. She sighs. "Maybe I should date, I can't sit and wait for Eddie to figure out how I feel."
It's close to midnight when Mel walks in. "You're still up?"
"Yes, I'm all caught up on some of my shows, how was the movie?"
"It was an action movie; Ian doesn't like the chick flicks."
"Not many guys do, there hasn't been any good romance movies lately."
"Guess who joined us?"
Loren looks at Mel. "Who?"
Mel rolls her eyes. "Eddie with his latest fling."
"I saw them; he took off on his motorcycle."
Mel notices Loren's tone. "I'm sorry."
"No it's ok, I doubt Eddie will ever notice me or see me that way."
"You're not giving up are you?"
She slumps back on the sofa. "I don't know, he doesn't get it, I'm just a friend."
Mel walks towards the little bar and grabs a bottle of water. "You're performing with him, give it time."
"Time I have, I'm in no rush, but, it hurts to see him with a different girl each week, what if he falls in love again?"
"The girls he's going out with aren't the type you bring home to mom, this one was all giggly and not very smart, if you know what I mean, she kept asking questions during the movie, Ian was about to put tape on her mouth, when the movie ended, Eddie took her home right away."
Loren giggles. "Really? That must have been fun."
"I loved it; I hope he learned his lesson." Mel smirks.
Loren gets up. "I'm going to bed." The sound of a motorcycle coming into the driveway of the Condo is heard. Loren runs to the window. "He's home."
"I heard! When do we go back to L.A?"
"Our last show is this Sunday, Katy said we'll fly back on Monday, we're off to New York and the Eastern states."
"We have time to pack?"
"Yes, we can do it Sunday after the last show, I overheard Jake telling Katy there's going be a farewell party after our last show."
"I'll ready for bed."
"Good night Mel."
Eddie and Loren have a full house on their last weekend in Vegas, Loren improves with each show, her album is selling quick; After two months in Vegas she knows this is what she wants to do, she loves to perform for her fans.
After Sunday's last performance there's a party in a nearby Hotel.
A buffet with drinks is served. Katy and Max walk in trailed by Loren, Eddie, Ian and Mel. Jake and Kelly are already there, people representing the label are there too.
"Did you see the huge billboard?" Eddie asks.
She smiles. "It's been there for a month Eddie; don't tell me you just noticed it?"
"No, I've seen it, I wasn't sure if you had."
She gets another plate of salad from the buffet table. "You've been very busy with the ladies; I'm surprised you noticed it."
"It hasn't been that many girls?" He teases.
"How about some wine Miss Tate?" Eddie asks
"I've had enough, 2 glasses are my limit." Loren says.
"We're celebrating; we had a lot of success in Vegas." Loren crosses her leg. "Can I ask you something?"
He grabs another drink. "Yeah sure."
"Are you happy with your new life?"
He furrows his eyes. "What do you mean?"
"Before we came here you were dating a different girl each week, that hasn't stopped you, is that your new life now? I wonder if that makes you happy?"
He takes a sip. "I don't know, these girls don't mean anything, I'm just having fun."
She walks towards Jake and Kelly, Eddie gets another drink, he does this again and again, Katy notices. "I think we better head home, Eddie knows I hate it when he drinks like this! Please make sure you get his keys."
Max walks towards him. "We're going home, give me your keys, we'll get the car in the morning."
Loren overhears. "I can drive his car to the Condo."
"I don't want to rush you."
"I'm ready to turn in, Mel and Ian are staying."
"Are we ready?" Katy asks.
"Loren will drive Eddie's car." Max gets Eddie, they exit the hotel, Loren waves to Mel and Ian.
They arrive at the Condo, Max looks at Eddie. "I'm ok Pops, I can walk."
"You had a bit too much, you know your mom doesn't like it."
Loren walks ahead of them and opens the door. They walk in. Katy places her things on the table. "I'm going to make some coffee; you don't have to wait Loren."
"I'll sit with Eddie while you make the coffee."
Max gets Eddie's things from the sofa. "Thanks Loren, let me take these to Eddie's room downstairs, I'll be right back."
"No rush, I'll make sure he stays put."
He smiles. "I'm fine Loren, just a bit tipsy, we had a great turn out in Vegas, you were amazing."
"Thanks Eddie." She looks at her watch. "Loren." She looks at him. "Your mom is making coffee, sit tight."
"I just noticed something."
"What?"
"How beautiful you are."
Loren blushes, she ooks at him, she places her hair behind her ears. "Thanks."
"I mean it, you're really beautiful."
Max's coming up the stairs and over hears what Eddie is telling Loren.
He leans towards her. Loren can't move, why is Eddie so close? Loren wonders how long before the coffee is ready, she's nervous. "I smell the coffee brewing; you'll have a cup soon."
He cups her chin; he brushes her lips with a kiss. He pulls back and looks straight into her eyes. Loren's heart is racing. "Eddie?"
He gently pulls her closer to him, their kiss deepens, he makes eye contact with Loren, she hasn't been able to move. "I love you."
He falls back onto the sofa, he's asleep. Max clears his throat, Loren turns towards him, did Eddie say he loves her?
