After having coffee, oldie DUO left the home towards the headquarters for an important meeting, while Vinod picked up the empty mugs of coffee, move towards the kitchen after washing them and clean the kitchen after making another mug of coffee along with sandwich for himself, proceed towards the couch, keeping mug and plate on the center table, heard the ringer of his cell phone which brings soft smiles on his face, received the call, heard the worried the voice of Abhijeet as

Abhijeet in worried voice as : Vinod kaha ho yaar tum subha se, haain..?

Vinod replied in the polite way as: Abhijeet shant ho jao yaar, mein theek hu bilkul, abhi tum bilkul relax ho kar aapna maan kaam mein lago aur rahi baat meri toh mein subha se ek patient ki case reports discuss kar raha tha aapne jouinor ke saath..

Taking a silent pause,

He continue as (with sign) : Aur yaar, case kafi critical ka tha, toh bas usmein me uljh gaya tha mein, phir ACP sir aur Salunkhe sir aa gayein the, bas abhi thodri der pehle hi gayein hai..

Abhijeet after listening it said as : Par Vinod ek message toh kar sakte the na tum..? Pata hai mein kitna dar gaya tha jab tum phone hi nahi utha rahein the..

Understanding well the situation Vinod nodded his head & replied in an apologetic way as: Hmmm, Sorry yaar mujhe iss baat ka dyan rakhna chahiyein tha, agli baar tumko shikayat ka moka nahi dhu ga pakka..

Abhijeet replied after taking a sign of relief : Aur tumharein leyien yehi accha hoga..!

With this after comforting each other with their care filled talks, they put their call off..

After ending the calls, Vinod's eyes falls on the portray of Daya's smiling face while his mind travels to the journey from where all this has started and ended with such an unexpected, shaking and shocking fact for their life's which has turn their life's upside down forever..

Flashback

The Day when Daya was again visited him with Abhijeet for some tests to be done for his persisted fever which makes him more and more irritated..

All the tests were done again which makes Daya more frustrated with procedures and visiting from one lab to another..

After all day long hectic running from one place to another, in the late afternoon, Vinod send them both to the home after prescribing mild medications for the fever and pain & instruct Abhijeet to make Daya rest for the day to which, he nodded and further told him that he himself will come home with the reports as when it comes..

Since 2 to 3 days of the all the testing were done, now its time for the results, after checking all the reports twice and consult his seniors, dishearten Vinod comes to the DUO house to make them aware about the current situation in which much precautions and care needs to be taken for Daya..

It was the late evening, when Vinod rang the door bell of the DUO's home, and much annoyed face of Abhijeet welcomed him how opened door but after looking at the face of Vinod, his annoyed face turned into worried who asked him..

Abhijeet : Accha hoya tum aa gayein, (he stopped, in between looked at his face moved aside to give him space to enter the home) kya baat hai Vinod, sab theek toh hai na, tum bahut pareshan lag rahein ..?

And in return received only silence and moisture filled eyes of Vinod, Abhijeet took few steps back in fear while Vinod composed himself well , moved forward hold Abhijeet from his shoulder, make him sit on the couch and sits beside him and asked him with very polite way as.

Vinod( in composed way): Daya kahan hai Abhijeet, mujhe tum dono se bahut zaroori baat karni hai..?

Abhijeet nodded his head in yes while replied as : hain kahu na Vinod, Kyun meri jaan nikal rahein ho tum aur rahi baat Daya ki toh woh abhi ghar pe nahi hai, aapne khabari se milne gaya hai, aata hi hoga, kuch der mein..

Vinod in desperate voice as: Abhijeet tum abhi ke abhi Daya ko wapis bulao please, abhi uske liyein itna physical exertion karna theek nahi hai (and stop after feeling a tight grip of Abhijeet's hand on the wrist, closed his eyes for some seconds, gather his courage and continue as) Abhijeet tum meri baat bahut hi sakun aur itmanan se suna aur dekho hum aapne puri koshish karein gein Daya ki treatment best se best ho aur tum bilkul bhi darna nahi, meine aapne seniors se bhi baat karli hai bas humein Daya ko kal unke pass leke jana hai taki wohi bhi ek baar usko check karlein phir hum uskein treatment start kein gein..

And getting no heads and tails of the conversation Abhijeet almost shouted at Vinod as: Hain hain Vinod hum sab kuch karein gein, lekin pehle batao toh sahi ki baat kya hai..?

Dekho joh bhi baat hai, saaf saaf bata do please, mujhe bahut pareshani ho rahein hai, aur essa kya hua hai Daya ko, ki tum itna hyper ho rahein ho, bas mausami( seasonal) bhukar(fever) hi toh hai na, aur tumne joh dawa di thi, usse woh theek bhi hoga hai.. Phir kess baat ki itni pareshani hai..?

Vinod looked at him while the fine line of the tear made its way on his cheeks through his eyes & said to him as : Abhijeet Daya is HIV positive (Abhijeet looked at him with shocking yet disbelieved eyes, as he continued as) Tumhein yaad hai na, Daya ko kuch waqt pehle blood transufe kiya gaya tha, jab woh mission se zakhmi hoke aaya tha aur ussi wajha se humein usko blood transfuse karna para tha (received a silent nod from the later , so continued in much ashamed way as) bas woh blood ek HIV positive patient ka tha, jab usne blood donate kiya tha tab usko bhi nahi pata the ki woh ek Positive patient hai, aur blood bank walo ne bhi tests results ka wait kiyein bager humein blood alot kar diya, jisski wajah se Daya bhi Positive hoga hai.. (and started crying loudly hiding his face from his palms)

After few seconds of calming him down his emotions, he looked at freeze Abhijeet who hasn't said anything or reacted after listening this news, so he moved forward towards him said in the polite way as: Abhijeet dekho tum jessa soch rahein ho, wesa nahi hai, Positive hone mein aur AIDS hone mein bahut farak hai, HIV positive ka matlab hai ki virus toh aapke body mein hai but they are at the doormate stage which can remained at this stage through proper treatment and medications while AIDS is the stage where virus have become active in the carrier's body which make his body weak by multiple organ failures etc..

Hum abhi se hi Daya ki treatment shuru karein gein, aur sath mein hi proper monitoring bhi karein gein usski health ke saath..

Abhijeet looked at him with horrified eye musted his courage to ask him as : Vinod

Abhijeet's single call was enough for the Vinod to understand his question and doubt & what not, so he continued : Nahi Abhijeet bilkul bhi nahi, jessa tum soch rahein ho wesay bikul bhi nahi hai, Hain yeh problem contiguous zaroor hai lekin siraf kuch conditions mein, jesse ki his blood, sweat, and spits should not come in direct contact with one..

Kissi se bhi gale milna,haath milana, ek saath khana khana , ek saath kaam karein se normal logo ko koi pareshani nahi hogi..

Clarifying all this, Vinod looked at Abhijeet how was looked at him in much shocking eyes, salty moisture was making their way to his cheeks, in return received a silent nod from him, so just giving the encouraging pat on the back of Abhijeet, Vinod make him drink some water from the glass, after keeping it back on the table, just hugged him so tightly..

After comforting each other, they parted from the hug, before Abhijeet could say anything, they heard heard a loud voice of breaking the glass, so they both looked at the direction voice and got tense after looking at the person, how was not looking at his senses which make them more worried about him, with this they both moved towards him, and tried to hold him from his wrist but to their wildest shock, he jerk them both and hurriedly moved towards his room & locked himself after blotting from inside..

They both run towards to the room while calling trying to pacify the person as

Softly knocking at the room door while they heard some voices from the room the which increased the fear in their heart, on Vinod's order they broke the door of the room, after entering inside the room, for a second they both felt like everything has come to an end but the very next minute they moved towards the person, and with the full force pulled him towards themselves after removing the noose from his neck who tries to make himself free from the grip of the 4 hand but all his struggles went in veins as he become unconsciousness in the arms of Abhijeet who made him lie on the bed and Vinod started checking his vitals after bring his medical bag from the car while Abhijeet removed his shoes and socks and turn the AC and starting rubbing his feet..

Vinod after a thorough check up, injected him sedative and medication which will help him to feel relax..

After getting freed from his side, Vinod looked at Abhijeet and told him that He is fine now, due to this news comes in front of him all of the sudden and his attempt of suicide shoots his BP, due to which he become unconscious , he just need some good sleep, he will be fine by the next morning..

Vinod's trails of the thoughts broke with the ringer of his cell phone which was displaying as the time to have the second dose of his medicine..

He turned off the alarm, takes the sad sign, moved towards his room to have his medicine..
