Honeymoon Chapter 27
Loren pulls Mel into a huge hug. "You're on your honeymoon, what are you doing here?"
"Did you actually think I'd miss your wedding?" Mel says.
"I had no time to prepare, for this, Eddie's idea." Loren tells her.
"It's so romantic! No one knows about today!"
"I know, I love it here, it's so private."
Mel holds Loren's hand, Loren turns around. "Let me see you."
"It's a simple dress." Loren says while showing off her dress.
Nora steps in. "It's perfect for a beach wedding."
"I love the little flowers on your hair."
Loren walks to the window. "Should I stroll towards Eddie?"
"Everything's ready, let's go Loren."
Mel smiles. "Eddie knows we're here, Ian's his best man"
"Let's go." All three hold hands, they make their way towards the beach. "I'm your maid of honor; I hope this dress will do?" Mel wonders.
"It's perfect, thanks for coming Mel."
They reach the beach; Mel takes a deep breath. She signals the violinist to play the beautiful melody, she starts down the aisle.
Ian stands next to Eddie. "You okay mate?"
Eddie can't stop smiling; he wants to get a glimpse of his beautiful bride. Nora holds Loren's hand, she locks eyes with Eddie, she smiles when she sees Eddie waiting for her. Max and Katy stand near their son, Kelly and Jake stand on the other side.
They reach Eddie, Nora places Loren's hand onto Eddie's. They face the Island Judge; he proceeds with the ceremony. Eddie looks at Loren, he softly squeezes her hand, the vows are first, then they exchange rings, they're pronounced Husband and wife.
Eddie lets out a huge sigh, he leans towards Loren, they share a beautiful kiss.
He looks at her. "I love you."
"I love you too." She says, holding back tears.
Nora's the first to hug the happy couple, Max, Katy, Ian and Mel congratulate them, Jake and Kelly are next.
Ian begins to take pictures of the happy couple, everyone joins in. It's an intimate affair; the violinist is the only one providing music for the happy couple and their family. A small buffet offers a variety of delicious island gourmet dishes.
After dinner, the music starts, Loren and Eddie dance to their favorite love song!
Eddie holds his bride close. "I need you to pinch me."
Loren giggles softly. "Don't be silly."
"I'm dreaming, are we really married?'
"Yes, a few hours ago."
He can't help himself. He kisses his beautiful bride again. The family is very happy for them, it's time they were finally happy.
It's a beautiful cozy night at the beach, the moon is shining beautifully, providing enough light for them to celebrate. Eddie's the first to speak.
"It's close to 11, my bride and I will retire for the night."
Ian smiles, he turns towards Max and Katy. "Mel and I would appreciate a room; we're technically on our honeymoon too."
Max smiles. "The east wing is all yours, Katy and I will take the lower floor, there's enough rooms on that level for our guests."
Mel looks at Eddie and Loren. "Where are the newlyweds staying?"
"They have the west wing all to themselves." Katy teases.
Eddie waves. "Good night folks, we will see you when we see you." Loren hugs her mom. "Love you."
Mel runs to Loren. "Have fun, you lucky dog, did your mom give you the box?"
"Yes she did, how did you know?" Loren asks.
"I just did, here's another bag, in case you don't like the other one." Mel teases.
Loren looks inside the bag. "It's empty."
She winks. "Exactly, have fun!"
Loren blushes. "I swear you're terrible."
Mel moves her eyes in a sexy kind of way. "It's Eddie remember?"
Loren shakes her head. "Have a good night Mel."
"Oh I am, I hope you do too."
Eddie picks Loren up. "Eddie…."
"It's tradition, I will carry my bride into our room." He says with a smile.
The rest sit by the beach, they are enjoying the beautiful moonlight breeze.
Eddie carries Loren to their suite, that's home for a few days. He places her on the bed.
Eddie makes sure there's soft music playing in the background.
"I'm tired." Loren tells him.
"How tired?" He looks her. "We can sit on the balcony for a while if you'd like?"
"No, we've been outside most of today." Loren adds.
"Let's have some champagne to celebrate our day." Eddie says.
She smiles. "I'll be right back." She runs to her room and opens Mel's box, her eyes widen. "Omg, leave it to Mel to buy something like this, a tiny panty and see through top."
Loren steps out, Eddie's pouring champagne, Loren clears her throat, she's blushing, Mel's gift shows way too much of her body, Eddie's speechless, he places the two glasses down and walks towards Loren, he takes off his shirt and stands in front of her.
"You take my breath away, you're beautiful."
Loren down casts her eyes. "I hope you approve of Mel's gift."
"I can't wait to make love to you."
Loren walks closer to him; she wraps her arms around his neck. "I love you."
Eddie places her on the bed. "I love you Loren." The amazing romantic night belongs to our beautiful couple.
The following morning, Loren walks out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her body. She smiles, Eddie is sound asleep. She leans in to kiss him. "Morning handsome."
He smiles. "Morning beautiful, where have you been?"
"I took a shower, the water cascades beautifully in that shower."
He sits and leans on his arm. "Not fair, you showered alone?"
Loren blushes. "Yes."
"Why didn't you invite me?"
Loren laughs, she's walks to the closet to get her clothes. Eddie jumps off the bed. "Guess what, Mrs. Duran?"
He picks Loren up; she tries to hold the towel in place. "What are you doing?"
"A shower for us."
"Wait! What?"
He doesn't listen to Loren's plea's and laughter. He jumps into the huge shower with her in his arms; Loren feels the cold water descend upon them. "That's too cold Eddie."
Nora, Katy and Max fly back home. Ian and Mel continue on their honeymoon, Kelly and Jake return home to tend to their twin boys, and their business. Loren and Eddie spend the rest of the week with walks on the beach, breakfast in bed, and many romantic nights cuddling, kissing and love. They spend each night in each other's arms. It's an amazing week for the newlyweds.
They head back to L.A, when they land, a huge line of reporters and paparazzi ask about their whereabouts for the week. Eddie holds Loren's hand and they walk into the waiting limo. They're dropped off at Loren's Condo.
When Loren opens the door, they're shocked to see flowers all over the living room, gifts piled up on top of each other.
"What's this?" She wonders.
"I'm sure everyone knows we eloped, that's why they were at the airport."
Loren looks at Eddie, she's concerned. "It was a secret; how did they find out?"
"The paparazzi have ways of finding out, who send the flowers?"
Loren looks through the flowers for the card. "This one is from Danny, wishing us the best."
Eddie sits down. "I won my girls heart."
Loren sighs. "I'm happy it was you."
He leans in to kiss her. "Let's see who else send flowers." Loren's says. "Rick sends his regards, why would he and Danny do this?"
"They're good sports, I'm glad to see that."
Loren continues to look through the arrangements on the table. "The label send flowers too."
"You might find some from people we don't know."
Loren leans in to smell the flower. "I guess, they're really beautiful, I wonder what's in the boxes."
"We can open them later."
"I know, that huge box caught my eye."
Loren looks at it, she's about to pick it up when the doorbell rings. Nora standing there with several bags.
"Hi guys, I won't be long, I made some lasagna, meat loaf and your favorite Loren, mac and cheese, I thought you guys would be hungry, this way you don't have to cook or go out."
Loren hugs her. Thanks mom, I'm starving."
"I know." She looks at Eddie. "Did you know she has a huge appetite."
"I noticed." He smirks.
Eddie helps Nora take the food out of the bags.
"Wow, thanks Nora."
She gets the plates and utensils out for them. "There's a lot of paparazzi hanging out downstairs."
"Ugh, I knew they'd follow us." Loren states.
Eddie hugs Loren. "It's ok, it's part of the business we're in babe, thanks to your mom we don't have to go anywhere, we'll enjoy this amazing food."
Loren smiles. "Thanks again mom."
Nora looks at all the gifts and flowers. "Wow, how did they find out?"
"Wish I knew." Eddie says.
"On my way home, I asked Terry to walk me to the car, I don't want them bombarding me with questions."
"Sorry mom."
Loren hugs her. "Thanks for everything mom."
"Enjoy the food you two."
"How did you know we were back?" Eddie asks.
Nora shrugs her shoulders. "Katy said something, I wanted to get here before you guys got home."
Eddie hugs Nora. "No problem mom."
Nora laughs. "Omg, just realized I'm a mother in law!"
"You happy?"
"Of course." She looks at Eddie. "Thank you; I know you love my daughter and you'll take good care of her."
"Is there a doubt?"
She kisses Loren and leaves. Loren looks at Eddie. "I'm starving."
"Really?" Eddie asks with a chuckle.
She walks towards the kitchen and opens the tray with the lasagna in it. She places a serving on Eddie's plate and one her plate. Eddie watches her; he can't take his eyes off that beautiful brunette, his wife. She grabs a bottle of wine, opens it and pours some into two wine glasses.
"Our first meal as husband and wife." She places a quick peck on his lips. "You can't kiss me like that and leave me wanting more!"
"We're going to eat." He pulls her onto his lap and kisses her, she wraps her arms around his neck and their kiss deepens, he carries her upstairs.
Within the hour, they're ready to enjoy dinner. "Why are you blushing babe?"
"The way you look at me." Loren says.
"I can't help it, you're beautiful." Eddie tells her.
Loren bites her lower lip. "I have the sexiest hubby."
After dinner, Loren's excited to see their gifts. "Let's open them."
"We can do that tomorrow."
"I want to see what's in that huge box."
Eddie brings the box closer to her; he can see the excitement in her eyes. "I wonder who sent it? I don't see a card."
"Maybe it's in the inside."
Loren tears the paper off; she smiles when she sees another smaller box inside of that one. "Oh wow, I wonder what it is."
She looks at him. "Is this from you?"
"No, I swear it's not, I would never hide them like this."
"Look there's another box inside of this one." Loren says.
Eddie helps her open the box, there's another box. Finally, Loren opens the box, it's a dozen dead roses.
"That's weird, who'd send dead roses?"
She sees the card and opens it; her eyes widen when she reads it, she looks at Eddie. "Oh my God!" She drops the card.
