Imachi and Jiro had come back to a happy house. For some reason, even Bakugou and Todoroki were bubbly. They were hanging their arms around people's necks, talking to the females, and overall very cheery. Imachi realized that it wasn't them, but something else.
Imachi was coming downstairs from getting his shower when Ochako jumped onto his back, in a friendly way. Since Imachi only had on shorts and some socks, her skin felt very comfortable. Mina was busy chugging some gold liquid with Hagakure, laughing her behind off.
After barely managing getting Ururaka off his back, Imachi found Izuku in the corner, sipping the gold liquid and chatting with Iida, who had rosy cheeks. He was talking a ton, while Izuku was just listening. Izuku, who was a terrible people person, seemed satisfied with just listening, relieved even.
Imachi walked up to the duo. "How was the slam thingy?" Imachi was asked by Iida. "Great. Jiro can really sing." Izuku nodded. Imachi looked at the glass bottle in his right hand. "What's that?" "It's some liquid Kaminari, Mineta, Sato, and Mina brought when they went to Downtown this this morning. They got hooked on it, so they brought a lot here. And now, everyone is hooked."
Izuku gestured his bottle towards Imachi. Imachi took it. He sipped it slightly. "This is...butter beer." Imachi gave him the bottle back. Izuku drunk a lot of it when Imachi gave it back.
"Don't drink too much of it. Today's Sunday. You'll have a terrible headache, and a lot of puke coming out of you." Izuku nodded and threw the rest of the drink away. "That was my first one." Imachi figured he didn't want to mess up anyone's time, so he was about to climb the stairs to go into the room, but he was pulled down by Mina.
"Come on...I understand you want to go someone alone with me...but let's congregate. No one has been to America in this room, and you were born there.nCome tell us about it."
Everyone had heard the last of her sentiment, but not the whispered part. "Yeah, tell us about 'Murica, Imachi!" "Yeah, lets hear it!" "How do they ask out girls!?" The last one was of course Kaminari. Imachi was dragged down to the couch. Mina sat beside him, left leg over his lap. He softly massaged it. Soon, everyone was around him, begging him to talk about America.
"Okay, okay, I will. Kaminari, get off of me!" Imachi huffed and talked as everyone eagerly listened. "All the free land crap you hear about is almost non existent. You have to earn your keep. Even if it is given to you, you have to earn it to keep it."
Imachi kept going. "It isn't as clean over here, except in the suburbs, where I lived."
Ochako raised her hand. "Is it true that most people are poor." Imachi frowned. "Well, depends on what you consider. Most people get by fine, but it is true a big percentage of people are less than wealthy. Most of it is laziness, and the inability to find work."
Yoayorozu asked next. "How do..." She suddenly turned red. "How do people ask other other people?" "Well, they are not up front. Americans like to hide their feelings until the absolute last minute. Girls like to ridicule men until they become violent or simp-like."
Tsuyu frowned. "What's a simp?" "A guy that drools over girls." "Like Kaminari and Mineta?" "Slightly. Simps do anything a girl asks. Sometimes, simps and become jerks and perverts once they realize that the girl will never like them.
Mina gave him a knowing look. "Then, what are you?" "I'm a realist. I realize that ever girl doesn't like you. Most will never have a hint of sexual interest in you. So I realize that I only go after girls I really, really like." Imachi didn't have the manpower to look at Mina.
Iida prodded him. "I want to know something. What is the school like?" "We have a two and a half month summer break. Then, we go to school for about nine straight months with little breaks in between."
"That sounds horrific." Mina commented. "Yeah. It's a grind. But I've never had anything below an 95 in any class."
Mineta frowned. "How are you so smart?" Imachi smiled proudly. "My mom sent me to k-4 at one year old."
Todoroki quietly spoke up. "What do Americans do for recreation." Imachi thought. "Depends on your interest. I was always about chess and soccer, but in Japan you have to go to a sports school in order to play, but I wanted to be a hero more."
"What is soccer?" "A amazing sport where you have to kick the ball into the goal. It's not like football or basketball. You don't have to be overly athletic, as long as you're good and practice Soccer, you'll be fine. You have 11 people on the field and at most eight substitutes. If you're a striker-" "What's that?" "The people who kick the ball into the goal. If you're a striker, you can't go bast the last back on the other team." "What's a back?" "A halfback or centerback is a defender that guards the goal from being kicked in. The midfielder helps defend and pass the goalie the ball. The midfielders have to be calm people who can think under pressure and understand quickly."
"Ok. Are there fouls?" "Yeah. If you kick someone too hard or do something stupid, the you'd be in trouble and get a flag. If you do it twice, then you get a red flag and you're out for the game."
Todoroki scratched his chin. "Why don't we ask for a team?" It sounded more like a statement.
No one was against it anyways.
Imachi said his goodnight and went to bed after answering some more questions. He didn't actually go to sleep, only waiting for a certain someone.
At around four a.m., some hours after the party had slimmed down, his cracked door was slightly opened. Mina walked in and locked the door after herself.
Mina hopped into Imachi's lap. The bed freaked quietly. They both looked outside at the start night. "It's great out there." Imachi commented. Mina agreed. "Did you hear about Kaminari and Jiro?" "No. What happened? Dating?" "No. They were just sitting and he pulled her into his lap, like a Santa Claus. She didn't hop out immediately, but it's already spread like wildfire."
Imachi looked at Mina. "I really like you, Mina." "Aw, really? Thanks. I like you too, idiot. Why else would I be in your lap. Think, kiddo." "You're less than a week older than me." "Age is relative." "That's my line." Imachi basked in the comfortable silence. "Have you adjusted pretty nicely?" "Yeah. Izuku's been helping a lot." "Midoriya?" "Yeah. Why did you say it like that?" "Because, I never would have you and Midoriya. You're just, on the two different sides of the spectrum."
Imachi frowned. "How so? We like mostly the same stuff. We both want to be heroes." "Personality wise, idiot. He's just, so inconspicuous and the opposite of attention seeking. And you. You demand attention, almost unintentionally. You went toe to toe with Bakugou and almost won. Midoriya's the only other person to do that."
"Izuku's strong."
"Yeah, but I think my Machi is stronger." Mina slightly bit into his lip with her next kiss. It wasn't as deep as the usual ones, but the lightness of it indicated more love instead of sexual passion. Imachi felt kinda sad as she let go. "No more kissing, no more hugging or touching. We both have to train for the Festival." Imachi nodded as Mina teasingly swayed out the door.
Imachi decided to get a headstart on that training thing, so he put on some training shorts and a tee. He put on some old and dirty High Top Converse's, and put some tape around his ankles to make sure he didn't roll them.
Imachi jumped off his balcony and onto the ground. He heard some arguing in the distance and decided to follow. Bakugou and Todoroki were arguing, with Yoayorozu in the middle. She was covering her ears with her hands. Imachi decided to hide behind a pile of bushes.
Bakugou shoved Todoroki down into the dirt. "She's mine. I don't think you understand, Icy Hot! She cheated on you with me, me! You are boring, and you're an idiot. You couldn't satisfy her, so I did." Todoroki got out of the dirt. He dusted himself off. Imachi saw a look in his hands. A look of silent anger, a fury that suddenly snapped and hurt anything around it.
Todoroki talked. "I don't care that she cheated. I...am at peace with that." "What are you, a loser? Get over yourself with that goody two shoes talk." "No. I am realist." Todoroki directed his gaze towards Yoayorozu. "I understand that women like shit bags and stupid mean who will only hurt them in the long run."
Bakugou suddenly had a reason to get fired up. "What did you call me?" Todoroki ignored Bakugou, only talking to Yoayorozu. "I don't care if you think I'm stoic. You aren't ready for a relationship. Only consecutive flings that don't matter, and give you temporary satisfaction with your lack of-"
Bakugou had reached up and punched the everliving shit out of Todoroki. The boy folded over himself and flipped backwards onto the grass. "Shut the hell up, Icy Hot!"
Todoroki again looked towards Yoayorozu. "What will it be, Yoayorozu?"
The girl turned red and looked towards Bakugou. He was staring at Todoroki, ready to punch his lights out. She looked back towards Todoroki. "I'm sorry...I just... it's over." Something broke in Todoroki's eyes. The boy just...slumped onto the ground. He looked up at the cloudless, starry sky, and shared soft tears.
Bakugou chipped his mouth and was about to stomp Todoroki.

Imachi's body moved on his own. He caught Bakugou's leg and pushed him back. "You should leave." Instead of picking a fight, Imachi was surprised as Bakugou got up and left. He must've figured Imachi wasn't worth fighting. In all truth and honesty, Imachi kinda wanted a fight. At least he could feel like he was doing something to help his friend.
Yoayorozu was against the tree, shocked about Imachi's appearance. He ignored her and went to Todoroki's side. He had no idea why he was so suddenly attached to the distant boy, but Imachi wanted to do everything he could to help the boy. He had seen so many people get treated horribly in a relationship like Todoroki had been.
Imachi crouched onto his left knee and grabbed his hand. Todoroki was cold. "Shouto." Imachi found that if he called someone by their first name, they were more likely to respond, especially in Japan.
Todoroki sat up. He was shivering, so Imachi gave him his jacket from the ground. "Let's get you some cocoa." Todoroki murmured a yes and slowly got up. As they were heading inside, Imachi gave a weird look to Yoayorozu. She was staring at the ground.
Imachi didn't have to prod. Mina got to the root of these things.
