Maybe I Should Be a Supervillain
Chapter One: Regret
=

It's been two days since Sapnap vanished. No one knows where he went and we refused to go to Dream for help. What's more confusing than Sapnap's disappearance is the fact that, when any one goes to a nether fortress, there are no wither skeletons. With me being the last one he "helped", everyone thinks I did something to him. Groaning, I put my head in my hands, feeling a headache coming on.

'Why did I yell at him?' I thought. Karl refused to talk to me after Sapnap left. I can't blame him though. I sigh and take my hands from my face. My thoughts go back to when Sapnap ran from me after I yelled at him.

-Flashback-

Sapnap stood in front of me holding the burnt remains of the wood I gave him to hold for a few moments with a guilty look on his face. The words I said go through my head before I even say them. " You really are a monster. I really shouldn't have asked you to help me! Get the fuck out of my sight!"

Sapnap dropped the charred wood before turning around and quickly walking away. By the time I regret what I said, it's too late. He was long gone when Karl came up to me to ask me something.

-End of Flashback-

The sound of footsteps running bring me out of my thoughts. When I look up, Karl burst through the door. I quickly stand up as he says "I found something."

"What did you find?" I ask.

Karl thinks for a moment. "It would be better if I showed you."

I get a little suspicious of that. "Show me what, exactly?"

"Just, ugh, just follow me, it's hard to explain." Before I can say anything, he turned around and walked out. I walk after him, still curious as to what he found. We don't talk as he leads me to the nether portal. When we go through it, we stop for a moment to get used to the heat. Even though it's hot as hell in here, Sapnap still loved the place for some reason.

When we're ready, Karl immediately turned down a path that I didn't know was there. I was looking around until he stopped, making me run into his back. I was about to ask why he stopped 'til I saw a massive castle overlooking a large lava lake. It honestly scared the absolute shit out of me when I got a good look at it. Movement caught my eye from on top of the walls around the castle.

I thought it was nothing until the light from the lava caught on an iron sword. Wither skeletons were patrolling on top of and around the walls. 'Why the hell are there wither skeletons here?! Is this where they went?' Looking closely, I saw some by the gates with what looked like netherite armor on.

"Karl," I whispered, "there are wither skeletons by the gates with what looks like netherite armor on. We shouldn't be here."

"Yeah, let's get out of here." With that we left and got through the portal without any trouble. A thought came to my mind about what we saw.

"Hey Karl, should we tell everyone about the castle?"

He thought for a moment before answering. "Yeah, we should." With that we walked to the community house.

-Meanwhile-

"So they just stood there getting a good look at the castle before leaving?" The wither skeleton nodded in response. I sigh, "I guess it can't be helped, with how it is quite intimidating. Did you manage to hear if they said anything to each other?" It shakes its head.

"Should we wait for them to make a move, your Majesty?" The wither skeleton signed to me.

I smile. "Yes. Let's wait to see what they do next." I pick up a chess piece from the set up board in front of me. 'Let's see what you guys do next. May the games begin.'
