You Remembered? Chapter 35
"Loren's in labor." Max tells him.
"Wait..what are you talking about?"
"Loren's having a baby!"
Eddie gets up. "Pops we were at a meet and greet for fans! She's pregnant?"
Max furrows his eyes. "What are you talking about Eddie? Don't you remember?"
Max knows something isn't right.
He grabs his arm. "We have to go…now!"
Eddie' very confused, they're finally in the plane, Max tells Eddie what happened months ago when he was attacked at the meet and greet. Max realizes Eddie remembered.
"Welcome back son, glad you remembered."
Eddie's trying to piece everything together. "I walked outside to make a call, then I get this horrible headache, I had to sit down because the pain was unbearable."
"We have to get back to Loren; she's at the hospital and you'll have to see the neurologist afterwards."
"I'm touring without my wife? She's having our baby?"
"Yes son, you wanted to see if you'd remember anything, apparently it worked."
Eddie sits with his two hands pressed against his forehead. "What have I've done?"
"it wasn't you; you were hit hard, when you woke up, you didn't remember anything."
"Not even Loren?"
"No Eddie, you didn't remember anyone, the Dr.'s didn't want you bombarded with too much information and make things worse for you."
"Loren must be going through hell."
"She never left your side son."
"Wait let me call her; I need to talk to her."
"Wait until you get there, she's dealing with too much right now."
Brenda walks in. "We'll be landing shortly, there's a limo waiting."
They land, Eddie and Max get into the waiting Limo. They arrive at the hospital within 20 minutes. Katy's waiting outside the room.
"I'm so glad you're here, the baby will be here any minute."
"I need to see her." Eddie says.
Max holds him by the shoulder. "Go, stay calm."
He walks into the room and Katy looks at Max. "What's going on?"
"It happened so fast, he remembered everything."
"How?"
"I don't know, when you called I went to look for him, he was dealing with terrible headaches, he wanted to know why Loren wasn't there. He remembers he was at the meet and greet with the fans, he wanted to see her."
"Thank God he remembered."
Eddie walks in, Nora smiles when she sees him "Sweetie, look who's here."
Loren smiles through her breathing. "You're here."
"I'm here babe, I'm sorry I left you alone."
He leans in and kisses her. Loren furrows her eyes. "Eddie?"
"Yes."
"The way you kissed me, the way you're looking at me."
Nora steps out with Max and Katy. "I remembered everything."
Another contraction hits Loren. She's trying to breathe through the pain. "Really? (Breathing) Are you sure?"(Breathing)
"Yes, I'm sure." He wipes her forehead.
The Dr. walks in. "We're going to check to see if you're ready."
Eddie let out a huge sigh…. "It's time!" The Dr. states.
Meanwhile outside their room, Katy and Max tell Nora that Eddie remembered his life with Loren.
They hear a baby crying. All three look at the door. "We're grandparents!"
"Should we go in?" Katy wonders anxiously.
"Let's wait for Eddie to come and get us."
Eddie finally peeks through the door. "I have a son."
They trail behind him; they find Loren holding their new baby boy.
"Omg, he's beautiful." Katy and Nora say in unison.
"He isn't too small even though he was 5 weeks early." Max says.
Eddie can't stop smiling. "He's beautiful, a whole 7 pounds."
"Ugh imagine if he had gone full term." Katy states.
Nora holds their grandson, she brings him closer to Max and Katy. "Look you guys, the newest Duran baby."
Eddie sits by Loren. "I'm sorry babe; Pops told me all about the past few months."
"It not your fault, what's important is that you're back and you remembered everything, I was afraid you'd never recover."
"I'm here now."
He leans in to kiss her, Loren holds his face with her two hands, she knows he's back; the way he looks at her, the way he kisses her is exactly like she remembered.
"This is how you got into trouble, what are you going to name this precious baby?" Katy asks.
"We haven't thought about it, I needed Eddie's help to name our son."
"I don't know, whatever you like." Eddie tells her.
"We promise to have a name tomorrow."
After a few hours, Eddie requests they bring a bed into Loren's suite. She can't stop smiling, Eddie's back, that's all that matters.
"You remember everything? How?"
"I was doing my last show for the night, I went back stage to wait for Jake, I was going to call you, then this horrible headache hit me like a ton of bricks."
"You were alone." She caresses his face. "You have to see the Dr."
"I know, I will Babe."
"He has to run a few tests and make sure you're fine." Loren tells him.
"Whatever ..I'm back Babe."
"I'm very happy too." Loren adds.
"I remember we we're doing a meet and greet with fans, I didn't know where I was for a moment until Pops came in."
"You remembering was the best thing to happen on the day our son was born."
"I know babe, I'm sorry I left you alone."
"It's not your fault; the important thing is that we're together."
"I'm going to make it up to you, you spend your pregnancy alone, I wasn't there for you for Dr. visits, spoil you with all of your cravings."
She holds his face gently with her two hands. "I can't get enough of you."
"I love you Loren."
"I love you more Eddie."
They kiss, their son starts to cry bringing, that brings them back to reality. "We'll have time later."
A few days later, Loren and the baby are back home.
"I think Aiden Max Duran is a perfect name for our son." Loren adds.
"I agree." Eddie says with a proud smile; he can't stop looking at his son.
Loren rocks him to sleep after feeding him.
"I love the nursery, you did a great job with everything, I'm so proud of you." Eddie tells her, he places a kiss on her forehead.
"Thanks!" The doorbell rings, Mel and Ian walk in.
"Aunt Melissa's here."
Loren smiles. "I thought you said you were coming later?"
"We had to see our nephew, he looks like mommy, sorry."
"It's ok, Loren's beautiful."
Loren smiles. "No, I think he resembles daddy."
Ian brings in another huge stuffed puppy, he give it to Eddie. " I'm placing this in Aiden's room."
They spend the evening talking, Mel makes dinner. Before bed Loren tells Eddie about Chloe stopping by at the hospital.
"What did she want?" Eddie asks.
"She wanted to see you and apologize."
He sits on his side of the bed. "I don't believe her."
"She was really very nice, she was worried."
"I prefer she stay away." He adds.
"She's busy; you heard she has a son?"
"Apparently from the director of her latest movie."
"She's into money, isn't that what she always wanted?" Loren asks.
"Let's not talk about Chloe babe; I'd rather talk about you and I."
Loren wonders if she should share about Rick. "Guess who showed up to visit you at the hospital? Rick stopped by."
"What did he want?" Eddie wonders.
Loren smiles. "He's your friend Eddie; he wanted to see how you were doing."
"I bet he wanted to make sure how I was doing, you know, make sure I was going to make it."
She laughs. "Do I detect some jealousy? You know I am all yours." She gives him a sexy stare.
"Don't tease Loren, I miss my girl." He winks.
"I know, I know! Soon Mr. Duran."
Loren spends each week bonding with Aiden, he's a beautiful baby, he has Loren's wavy hair and Eddie's dark brown eyes.
He's 2 months old, Loren tours with Eddie again. Of course, Aiden is with them.
He's finally introduced to the fans through "People's Life" magazine. Several pages are dedicated to Aiden Max Duran, there are several pages that contain pictures of Loren and Eddie holding their precious son.
They're busy touring parts of the North-Western states, they don't have much time for themselves, their schedules are busier than ever with their new son. They're finally back home.
"Hello sweetie, how's mommy's favorite boy doing today?"
Aiden smiles. "You're getting heavier young man." Loren tells him while kissing his tummy.
"Hey beautiful."
She smiles at the sound of Eddie's voice. "I thought you were sleeping in today?"
"I thought about it but I'd rather be with my favorite girl and guy."
"Here, help me feed him while I get breakfast started."
He takes Aiden from her arms. "What are you feeding him? He's heavy?"
"He eats what babies eat, now it's time to eat, I have to see my trainer in a bit, I'm starting to fit in my clothes again."
"I love what I see so far." Eddie says with a special look.
She blushes. "Don't you start!"
"I love it when you blush, I'll never get tired of that."
"It's your fault; you have that effect on me Mr. Duran."
"Babe we haven't had time for us."
"I know; believe me, I know we need to do something Leddie!"
"Leddie?" Eddie smirks.
"Didn't you hear that's what the fans are calling us?"
"Really? And what does that mean?"
"I don't know, something about our names, the fans say they ship us as a couple."
"All I know is that I'm feeling very neglected." He places Aiden in the swing and hugs Loren from behind.
"Don't tell me you're jealous of our own son?"
"He gets to spend more time with you than I do."
"That's not true."
"I'm going to have to do something to fix this."
She wraps her arms around Eddie's neck and they kiss. A bang on the door pulls them apart.
"Who's knocking so hard?" Loren wonders.
Eddie opens the door and finds Mel standing there in tears. "What's wrong?"
"I have to see Loren!" She walks in.
She hugs Loren and continues to cry.
"What's wrong?" Loren asks.
