"Lulu, Dantaya, say hi to the new girl." said Jem.
The two instantly greeted Shelby with hugs which was a little too intimidating for her.
"Sorry, they're just way too hyper." said Jem. "You'll get used to it."
The blonde girl smiled and shook her hand. "So what's your name?" she asked. "I'm Lulu and that's Dantaya." she said pointing at the tanned girl. Dantaya smiled and waved at her.
"He just said her name is Shelby, dumbass" replied Dantaya. "So you're friends with Jem?"
"I don't know, we kind of had a small altercation." respinded Shelby.
"Anyways, where are you headed now?" asked Lulu.
"We're staying with a family and I'm going there to unpack."
"Ooh, mind if we come?"
"I just need to ask Franco, he's meant to be like my bodyguard."
"My family can afford a bodyguard, but my dad says they're not nessacary. But he's been deported back to Nicaragua anyways so who cares." laughed Dantaya.
Everybody looked at her in a really concerned way.
"Hey, Franco, mind if some of my friends come over?" shouted Shelby.
"Shit… how many have you made right now?" he asked.
"Three."
"Three already? All in the span of 15 minutes?"
"Yeah! So can they come?"
"Sure… why not."
The three new friends of Shelby came out of the diner and waved at Franco. Jem apologised because he couldn't go but wished Shelby good luck.
"So where are we going?" asked Lulu. "I've gotta be back by 7 on the dot or my mom's gonna kill me."
"We're heading to Green-Wood House." said Franco
"Oh my God, that's Ruby's house, D!" Lulu told Dantaya.
"I am aware, Lulu." said Dantaya before telling Shelby, "Our siblings are friends with her. And the Redforts are coming to my sister's quinceañera!"
"They're also really rich." continued Lulu.
"You say that as if your parents doesn't make more money than them." responded Dantaya.
"And you say that as if your dad wasn't a millionaire lawyer before he got deported. Say, didn't he make 11 on that 'Twinford's Top 20 Foreign Lawyers' article?" Lulu countered.
Dantaya rolled her eyes.
"Look, we're here!"
