Wendy's Cabin
June 22nd, 2017
"Thanks for coming over man." Wendy said as she guided Dipper through the entryway to her newly built cabin.
"No problem. I mean when Wendy Corduroy asked for help with Summer homework, well, how can I say no to that." Dipper said with a smile as he took a moment to take in the ambiance of the new cabin. Manly Dan had finished it only last week and this was the first time Dipper has been in it since leaving last summer. "Besides, it gives me a chance to check out your new cabin."
"Yeah, sorry about that, I wanted to make sure it was finished before I showed it off to you." Wendy said as she led him into the living room.
"It definitely fits you." Dipper said as walked the room, stopping at the pony wall separating first two rooms. "I especially like this brunch bar you have between the kitchen and the living room. With only a half wall, we'll be able to get up and get snacks on movie night with out missing anything."
"There's chairs on both sides so we can even eat there while watching movies, though it won't be as comfy as the couch." She said as she nodded towards what one could call a sofa, if they were feeling favorable, but really wasn't much bigger than a loveseat. On the coffee table in front of it is a foam board scale model of the cabin they were currently standing in.
"Whoa, that looks great." Dipper said as he moved closer to the 'couch' in order to get a better look at it. As he reached out to touch it he was pushed back onto the couch.
"Hey man, no touching. It's worth a quarter of my grade in my architecture class." Wendy said as she stood over him. "I mean, yeah, that's the homework I invited you over to help with but really it was just an excuse to get you over here. We need to do something we haven't done in awhile, talk."
"We just talked yesterday when you asked me to come over." Dipper said somewhat defensively.
"You know what I mean. We need to talk about last summer and about us." Wendy said as she knelt down In front of him.
"What about us?" Dipper asked as he squirmed under her gaze.
"Well I'm pretty sure I know how you still feel about me and after the kiss I gave you before you got on the bus I hope you know how I feel about you." She said with a smile as she took his hands in hers.
"I do, I guess I just want us to be about us and not because we saw a ring on some guy's finger." He said as he looked up and got lost in her emerald eyes.
"Dude. If that is all that's bothering you, you just had to say something. I brought you here last year cause I wanted to make sure you knew you were an important part of my life and knew my plans going forward." Wendy said as she pulled his hands up to her mouth and kissed them. "We just got interrupted."
"Wendy, I…" Dipper started only to be stopped by Wendy leaning in and kissing him.
As she pulled back she whispered, "You were saying?"
After he got his breath back and collected himself Dipper continued, "Wendy I love you."
"I love you too dork"
