Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto

Sasuke had walked home with Sakura yesterday. Needless to say, he was not happy. He considered it all Naruto and Mito's fault. Had the dope some how convinced her into getting detention just to pull this prank on him?

He didn't need those two giving the girl ideas. He didn't want it to look like he was leading her on, that just wouldn't do.

Mikoto Uchiha looked at her son in annoyance. She had been calling him for the last five minutes but he appeared to be lost in his own mind. Maybe his introvert personality was the cause. She was sure he had friends. After all, she may or may not have followed him after school a few days ago. She would have assumed that he'd be with Naruto but she was pleasantly surprised to see him with two girls. Still, she would have to make sure he wasn't a heart breaker like Itachi, though his brother did it unknowingly.

She hit him over the head with a frying pan and folded her arms over her chest.

"What!" the boy yelled, momentarily broken from his introspective.

"Your father is waiting outside, you're going by car today," she saw his expression sour at hearing that and she understood why. Fugaku wasn't the most loving. He cared but not enough to show it to his family. As Sasuke sluggishlade his out, Mikoto shook her head and resolved to visit Kushina. She hadn't seen her in a while.

Pe was an okay subject in Mito's opinion, she just didn't have an interest in an active interest in it. She was more of a biology girl, that was her more her style. Studying life itself was just a whole lot more intriguing, in her opinion. Now, working out was a whole more tiring. Still, it helped keep her in shape but that didn't really matter too much with her metabolism.

It also didn't help that the teacher was a fitness freak who looked exactly like Lee. All in all, she was just trying not to freak out.

"You're wondering whether they are related, aren't you?" a voice asked next to her. Mito turned to meet Kiba with a smile.

"Was it that obvious?" she asked.

"Nah, but all newcomers wonder that," he waved off as they completed another lap. It was clear that he could go for a few more laps at greater speed -unlike her- so he chose to slow down to talk to her. Of course, he was now checking her out so that explained a bit. She was flattered, bit he would have to stop eventually.

"My eyes are up here," she smirked as he turned away with an akward laugh. 'I've always wanted to say that,' she thought as she sped up.

"So, she's living with you?" Mikoto asked, pleasantly pleased by Kushina's revelation of Mito now living with them.

"It's really nice having another female around, ya know," Kushina returned the smile full force before it dipped. "But they both got detention!" she whined.

Mikoto sweaterdropped, "What did you expect when she's hanging out with your boy," The Uchiha laughed at her. Kushina hadn't been this cheerful in a while, even if the kids were getting in trouble. They wouldn't be Uzumaki if they didn't.

Things were perfect right now but they didn't know it wouldn't last.

The last two weeks had breezed by for Mito. Nothing had really changed in her routine but there was something else bugging her. Call her paranoid if you must but she honestly felt like someone had been following her for the past few days.

Seeing no other end to it, she just came out and said it.

"I think I'm being followed," the girl said. As soon as it came out,the boys at her sides stopped. Naruto and Sasuke looked at the redhead as they asked at the same time.

"Since when?"

"Any suspects?"

She would have been surprised with how fast they believed her but she came to the conclusion that the boys just weren't normal. Sasuke's instinctive question about a suspect was likely the Uchiha's father at play. Naruto was simply out going and selfless. That and he probably would have believed her even if she said the dead were coming back to life.

"It's been like...four days and no, l don't have any suspects," she answered them.

"It's usually when l'm alone and it's only in school," she added.

"Sounds like crazy stalker fanboys," Naruto suggested as Sasuke nodded sagely. Of course, they would still investigate but they could tell that Mito wasn't necessarily worried, just really creeped out.

School was out and Mito had decided to check something out, dragging Naruto and Hinata with her. Maybe she could get the two to spend some time together and have Naruto see how awesome her friend was. Now if only Hinata wasn't so shy.

The original reason for coming to the mall had been to quell her curiosity concerning the icha icha series. She saw the object of her desires and turned to Naruto.

"What is i...t," he trailed off as he noticed her not so secret glance at the orange book on the shelf. "Why that?" he asked not really happy with her choice plus it was his money she was gonna use.

"I'm a girl with certain needs, Naruto," she turned her head to the side as she crossed her arms over her chest.

Naruto and Hinata lit up, cheeks reddening at her words. "N-needs," Hinata repeated.

"What needs?" Naruto tried to keep a straight face and to stop his thoughts from wondering to all the wrong places.

Mito smirked, her plan was working, though she could have just asked really really nicely with puppy dog eyes and he still would have caved. This however, was much more fun. She sauntered over to him and whispered into his ear, "The fun kind," she heard him choke on his own spit and she smiled. "It's just a few bucks and next time, you'll do well not to ask," she told him as he nodded. Hinata wished she had that sort of courage with Naruto.

"Which one?" he asked his cousin as her bright eyes scanned over the area.

"This one," shebheldnitnout as the two read out the title. "icha icha: cum cum paradise,"

Hinata promptly passed out as Naruto caught her. "Too much?" Mito asked as she held a smirk. This was definitely fun.

Elsewhere, Jiraiya had an epiphany. A woman had just bought his book, he could feel it. This was a miracle, the heavens had finally heard his plea. Now decided, he continued to make his journey to visit his godson. The boy would be of age now so it was finally time to corrupt him. His job as an author would have to wait for a few days.

Ja ne.
