Blow the candles out, looks like a solo tonight

I'm beginning to see the light

Blow the candles out, looks like a solo tonight

But I think I'll be alright

Puck hoped no one saw him wiping his tears away but no such luck.

"Are you…crying, Puckerman?" Lauren whispered incredulously.

"No, I have allergies," an obvious lie that no one bought but Lauren just gave him a smirk and dropped the subject.

The New Directions looked on as Blaine pushed Kurt into the spotlight and the music changed to P!nk's Raise Your Glass.

"Is it just me or was there something going on between those two during Candles?" Lauren's voice rang out next to him once again.

"No, there's definitely something going on there." Quinn agreed, soothing Finn's hand with her thumb, their fingers interlocked.

"No way, dude. Kurt totally would've told me," Finn joined the conversation.

"Right, because you guys are so close. I bet he just spills his secrets while you two complete his forty-five-minute moisturizing routine," Puck scoffed.

"Whatever," Finn said dejected, "all I'm saying is that I would know if Kurt had a boyfriend."

"Here's an idea," Lauren interrupted, "why don't we just ask him when the competition's over? We're about to go on anyway."

They all stood up and clapped as the Warblers finished their set.

"Fine, we'll just confront him later," Puck said, and they all agreed.

"You okay? You're kind of quiet." Blaine asked his boyfriend as they walked offstage after coming in second place.

"I don't know. It's the second Regionals in a row that I've lost. I was kind of hoping to win." Kurt quietly confessed, trying not to lean on Blaine too much considering they were still in public.

"Kurt! Dude, wait up!" A voice that sounded suspiciously like Finn's called before Blaine had a chance to respond. The Warblers all turned to see the New Directions heading towards them.

Blaine and Kurt shared a look of confusion, the latter turning to address his brother. "Finn? What's going on? Is it dad? Oh my god, did something happen?" Kurt started rambling, working himself into a panic, Blaine's hand on his shoulder doing wonders to calm him down.

"Kurt, baby, breathe." Blaine's voice was gentle in his ear, helping Kurt calm down.

"What? Dude, no. We just came over to ask you something," came Finn's confused response.

Kurt released a breath he didn't realize he was holding. "Oh. What about?"

Finn looked uncomfortable, his gaze shifting between Kurt and Blaine. Kurt sighed exasperated. "Finn, we have to be back on the bus in approximately five minutes. Are you sure this isn't something you can ask me at home?"

"Dude, if you don't ask, I will." Puck spoke up. That's when Kurt remembered they weren't alone. He looked around the room to find both show choir groups watching the boys in silent confusion. Lauren and Quinn had matching smirks, as if they knew something they didn't.

Kurt shifted his gaze to the boy with the mohawk, "ask me what?" He demanded. Blaine's hand, once again, rubbing his shoulder and calming him down.

"We want to know if you and the gargler are bumping uglies or whatever," Puck replied, Finn smacking him on the shoulder as everyone turned to look at him.

Kurt's eyes went wide, the Warblers were all snickering behind the couple, the New Directions gossiping amongst themselves, and Blaine was wearing his signature "wtf is going on" smile.

"I'm sorry?" Blaine asked, polite as ever.

"Guys, we have to go," Wes stated, coming up to Blaine and tapping him on the shoulder.

"Right. I'll talk to you at home, Finn." Kurt said as the Warblers bid the other group goodbye.

"Way to blow it, dude." Finn turned to Puck.

"Well, that told us nothing," Lauren stated the obvious.

"Guess I'll find out when I get home, if Kurt doesn't kill me first."
