Chapter 3: The Giant Massacre

Back with the US Government, the FBI, Katelyn and Stripes, and the US Army, the government manager was getting ready to order the army to go into the open portal to Cyberville. Asking all the soldiers if they were ready for their actions to happen, the manager started to get serious with the captain, who was in charge of staying in touch with the workers and the rest of the government. Then, the soldiers went through Project: Gateway to Cyberville.

"Tell us what you see within Cyberville, Captain." The manager said. "Do you see anything good? Any citizens walking about?"

"Let's see… I uh… I see some castles way out in the distance… and some lakes, too. And uh… ah! Something's coming!" The captain exclaimed.

"What is it?!" the government manager asked.

"It's a… it's… oh… it's… it's just a giant spiky, green-shelled turtle…" the captain said calmly, but nervously. Katelyn was confused. Then, she remembered it was Bowser, the king of the Koopa army who was responsible for once killing Greil and Charizard back during her first adventure in the town. She immediately told the government manager to have the captain and his troops escape the town of Cyberville as something bad was going to happen if they provoked Bowser. However, as Bowser on the other side was provoked by the captain, the captain was grabbed by Bowser and ended up screaming through the speaker.

"What's going on, Captain?! Can you answer me?!" the government manager asked.

"The damned, wretched beast is eating my soldiers, sir!" The captain said in a panic. "HE'S EATING THEM!"

"GET OUT OF THERE, CAPTAIN!" The government manager exclaimed. "It's going to get too dangerous if you stay in there for a long amount of time!"

"I CAN'T!" The captain exclaimed. "I AM NOT SURE WHERE TO GO!" After the captain's fleeing from Bowser in Cyberville, he was later pronounced dead from a strange, unknown flying being. Then, something came from the other side of the portal into the Pentagon.

"Something's about to come through the gate from the other side, sir!" a worker said. "We're not sure what it is, though…"

"Wait, it's coming through!" another worker said. However, the shocking thing that came through was a Giant Demonic Beast of Fódlan.

"What the H-E-Double Hockey Stick is it?!" the manager's colleague asked.

"It's like some sort of giant golden-masked beast!" a worker said.

"No! It's a Giant Demonic Beast of Fódlan!" Katelyn exclaimed. "I've got to get the hell outta here before I get killed by that wretched armored beast! Come on, Stripes! It's for our own safety!"

"Yes, Katelyn!" Stripes said. "Let's go!" As the demonic beast was murdering half of the government workers, the manager of the government agencies ordered that the doorway had to be reversed to send the giant beast back to Cyberville.

"GRRRRROOOOOAAAAAWWWWRRRR!" The Giant Demonic Beast roared loudly as its roar echoed throughout the Pentagon. As the doorway was reversed, Katelyn and Stripes jumped into Project: Gateway to Cyberville to escape the horrific massacre.

"Damn… the girl and the tiger fled." One of the surviving workers said.

"We have to send them back here for more information." The government agency manager said. "I want a press conference held when they give out their great big return." He later asked his coworker John if he was able to go through Cyberville's portal and retrieve Katelyn and Stripes. John, having experienced with seperate dimensions before in his career with the government, agreed.

Back in Cyberville, blood spilled throughout the streets after Bowser left the scene not caring about a thing. Then, Katelyn and Stripes were in Cyberville once again.

"What happened to your own creation, Katelyn?" Stripes asked.

"I don't know… this is not like the Cyberville we know of today…" Katelyn said. "I mean… who would do such a mean thing?" Suddenly, someone who was familiar to Katelyn came over to her. Shockingly, it was both Ike and Byleth!

"Katelyn! Is that you?" Ike asked Katelyn.

"Ike? Byleth?!" Katelyn asked. "Is it really you!?"

"It's really us, old friend!" Byleth said.

"I can't believe it's really you!" Katelyn said. "Come on, Stripes! Let's go see them!" As Katelyn and Stripes headed on over to Byleth and Ike, Katelyn was the one who hugged both of them.

"How've you guys been?" Katelyn asked.

"It's been alright." Ike said. "But… how did you get back here?"

"Hold on, Ike. I think she found another light, and that got her here. Right?" Byleth asked.

"No, Byleth. I got sucked through Project: Gateway to Cyberville at the Pentagon back in Washington DC."

"Project: Gateway to Cyberville?" Byleth asked.

"It is said that ever since the year of 2013, the United States Government and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have been using this famous creation of mine to create a portal into this dimension. That's how the portal got the name Project: Gateway to Cyberville."

"Wow… that's pretty interesting…" Ike said.

"Yeah… I know nothing of modern technology, but this is worth it, Katelyn." Byleth said. Suddenly, other familiar faces came over to the group.

"Mamma-mia!" Mario said. "It's-a really you, Katelyn!"

"Am I not believing my eyes right now?" Luigi asked himself.

"Hey, Mario! It's nice to see you and Luigi again." Katelyn said.

"So, uh… what are you doing back here with your tiger?" Mario asked Katelyn.

"It's a long story, Mario." Ike said. However, Katelyn reminded him that it wasn't that long of a story.

"If it is not a long story, what happened?" Luigi asked.

"So, as I was with the US Government and the FBI at the Pentagon, we as a team activated Project: Gateway to Cyberville." Katelyn explained. "That's basically a portal into this dimension that the government's powerful team of workers created back in 2013 to get a hold of my famous book creation. And then, when the gateway was open, some soldiers went through, and that's what caused all this mess. From what I am told and from what I know."

Stripes continued Katelyn's conversation. "Then, a demonic beast came through the gateway as it was reversed to our end. That's when we fled to here."

"I understand, you two." Mario said. "But I must say, you guys must be tired after your long journey through the real world. But even a bigger threat comes to our minds… A threat involving big, black, winged, and horned canines."

"The Cuddly Canines?" Stripes asked. "We heard some news too. Back in Lexington Town Avenue and the Pentagon."

"Really?" Ike asked. "You guys are facing the same threat too?"

"Yes. There is one feline of ours that doesn't like the Cuddly Canines for one good reason." Stripes said.

"Who is it?" Byleth asked. "It's not your older brother Bangle, is it?"

"No. It's not him, Professor. It's even worse that Bangle." Stripes said. "It's Foofy." A moment of silence was heard from the crowd after Foofy's name was mentioned.

"Foofy?" Ike asked. "You mean Goofy, right? You know, as in being a goofball?"

"No, I mean Foofy." Stripes said.

"Describe this feline for me. Is he a lion? Perhaps a tiger? Or what about a panther?"

"No. None of those. He's a domestic cat. A grey tabby domestic cat, to be specific." Katelyn described.

"Really? He doesn't seem all that bad." Byleth said. "Sounds like someone I want to take back to the monastery as a pet."

"No, Byleth." Stripes said. "Foofy is our feline. He is definitely not for sale, and he won't be up for sale any time soon." Byleth remained silent. He later left back for his room.

Katelyn later asked Mario about the Cuddly Canines. Katelyn said, "Tell me more about the Cuddly Canines. Are they hideous?"

"Legend has it that they are hideous, Katelyn." Mario said. Then, a voice was heard in the distance. The voice said, "That's for sure."

"Ah! Who said that?" Katelyn asked as she was shocked.

"Oh, that was just Oscar, Katelyn." Ike said. "He's a colleague of mine in the Greil Mercenaries. Come, I'll let you meet him."

"OK." Katelyn said.

Back at the Pentagon, things started to get heated up. The government could not believe that Katelyn fled into her own creation when she was supposed to be working with them and the FBI. Then, Katelyn's mother and father showed up. And they were not alone. The Furry Felines, including the newest member, Bereto, were with them, too.

"What the H-E-Double Hockey Stick do you think you are doing with my daughter?!" Katelyn's father asked.

"Sir! Sir! Calm down, and we will explain everything!" The government agency worker said. "First, we need to know who you are. You related to Katelyn by any chance?"

"Yes, sir!" Katelyn's mother said. "We both are her parents. And these cats are the Furry Felines."

"The Furry Felines, eh?" The government agency manager asked. "Well… I do have some news for you."

"What's the news?" Professor Paws asked.

"Stripes, the Bengal tiger, and Katelyn, the human girl, are inside that portal." The government agency manager responded.

"What?!" Katelyn's mother asked as she was shocked. "How on earth did—"

"No time to explain." The government agency manager said as he interrupted Katelyn's mother. "My coworker, John, went to Cyberville to find her and Stripes. Don't worry though. We will get them back here. But she will have to stay with us for a while."

"Why?" Katelyn's father asked.

"It's because she and Stripes are helping us with a mission." A worker for the government said.

"What mission is this exactly?" Bangle asked. "Is this about the Cuddly Canines? 'Cause we've got the same threat back home, too.

"Yes." The manager of the government said. "We will release a press conference when Katelyn returns." And so, The Furry Felines and Katelyn's parents understood the cause, and waited uncomplainingly for Katelyn and Stripes to return to the Pentagon's room where Project: Gateway to Cyberville was.
