Mikasa watched as Annie scarfed down a Big Mac meal with a side of chicken nuggets. The chicken nuggets originally belonged to Mikasa, but Annie managed to steal them away when she wasn't looking. Mikasa didn't mind though; if the pretty pregnant lady wanted her nuggets, then she'd gladly give them up. She sat back in her seat and munched on her fries, which were the only things she managed to keep from Annie. Would she be full after eating? Probably not, but Annie would and that was all Mikasa cared about at the moment.

"I felt like you should know about my punishment since you're living with me now. To put it bluntly, my parents aren't financially supporting me anymore. I'll have to support both of us on my own for now, which isn't an issue. It'll be a bit difficult is all. Thankfully, they're not making me pay rent, so all the money will be put into things either you or the baby need. So if there's something in particular that you need, don't be afraid to ask me for it. I most likely won't be able to tell you no."

Mikasa let out a soft chuckle at the last sentence because it was true. If Annie was able to steal her chicken nuggets at this point in her pregnancy, then Mikasa didn't know what she'd be able to get away with later on. She gave a small wink to Annie and finished off her fries, still feeling hungry as hell. She tried to grab a nugget for herself, which resulted in getting her hand smacked by the blonde woman.

"You put a child in me and now you're trying to steal my food? You can't decide what you give and take Ackerman," she said, only half-seriously while eating the nugget Mikasa tried to steal back.

"I single-handedly put a child in you? I think you seem to forget that it takes two people to produce a child."

"Well, sometimes only one of us was completely satisfied. So yeah, I can say that you single-handedly put the baby on me, on certain occasions."

Mikasa's mouth dropped open as she heard Annie say those things about their sex life! As far as the Alpha knew, she had satisfied Annie each time they did it. There was no way she wasn't, since the blonde always moaned and shook from overstimulation each time. She just couldn't believe it! Not one bit! Annie had to be lying and just messing with her.

"That is a lie and you know it! Each time we had sex you came when I did! You even did that little face and clenched your legs around me."

Annie rolled her eyes at how defensive Mikasa got. She hurt the Alpha's ego big-time. A devilish smirk worked its way onto her face as she picked up another chicken nugget, munching down on it happily. The Omega wasn't sure if she should reply to Mikasa. She wanted to get some payback for the Hitch incident and making Mikasa wonder if she'd ever got Annie off sounded like a hilarious way to do it. For the most part, Mikasa did satisfy her whenever they did have sex. However, Annie did find herself rather bored on some days with Mikasa, especially since the Alpha only ever did missionary. Don't get Annie wrong; she did orgasm, but it was rather unfulfilling sometimes. However, she still put on an act for Mikasa because in the end she more often than not did a good job. An embarrassed blush made its way to Mikasa's cheeks as she heard Annie's reply. She was still a bit prideful though, especially since Annie said she came even if the sex wasn't that great. Just the thought of Annie having to fake her reactions embarrassed Mikasa more than she thought it would. Now she was going to wonder if Annie was enjoying herself or not when it came to their intimacy. While all of that might've been embarrassing and ego-deteriorating, what was embarrassing Mikasa was the missionary part. She hadn't thought much about the position, since her past sexual partners didn't seem to mind it. Mikasa herself favored it because she had eye contact with Annie, which was something that played a big part in making Mikasa orgasm. She'd be damned if Annie was going to make fun of her for it.

"I... I didn't think you'd pick up on that if, I'm being completely honest. Um, but..." Mikasa avoided all eye contact at that moment, which was kind of ironic considering what they were just speaking about.

"Uh, but I don't NEED it to get off. I've come multiple times on my own without eye contact, so if we were to do it again, we can do any position you'd like."

Annie gave a soft chuckle and dipped a chicken nugget into some sauce before pressing it to Mikasa's mouth. The younger Alpha opened their mouth to accept it and began to chew, thankful for Annie finally sharing the food that wasn't hers, to begin with.

"I'll hold you to that. We'll have to do it soon or else we might have to wait like eight more months before we can fuck again. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want to bang a pregnant woman." She grabbed herself another nugget and popped it into her mouth.

"Who said I wouldn't? I'm sure I'll still find you attractive when you're further along during your pregnancy. Also, I'm technically fucking a milf, so it's not weird in the slightest."

Annie nearly choked on her food upon hearing Mikasa call her a MILF, mostly because she wasn't aware that the word was in Mikasa's vocabulary. She cleared her throat and stared at the Alpha wide-eyed. Not only was she surprised about being called a milf, but also because Mikasa said she wouldn't mind fucking her while she was pregnant. Annie wasn't sure how she should respond to hearing that. Mikasa Ackerman of all people calling her a milf?. Annie didn't know if she should feel insulted or honored.

"I... I don't know how to respond to that," Annie said while avoiding eye contact with Mikasa. "Uh, anyway, I'm changing the subject now."

Mikasa bit her bottom lip, holding in a laugh that was building up. She didn't mean to make Annie embarrassed, but was glad she did. Now Annie knew how Mikasa felt earlier. Unlike her counterpart, however, Mikasa didn't tease Annie any further and let her change the topic.

"Back to what you were saying earlier, I know your parents said it's your responsibility now to take care of me, but you already know how I am with people doing things for me. So I'm also going to get a job and work until I'm not allowed to. I don't want you breaking your back trying to support me and the baby. Also, having an extra source of income is always a good idea."

Annie decided she was done with her nuggets and slid the rest over to an eager Mikasa. Within seconds, Mikasa had practically swallowed the rest of Annie's nuggets. As she ate, she couldn't help but think about Annie's words. She knew Annie wouldn't like the idea of being taken care of, but Mikasa didn't mind. Mikasa was taught that Alphas work for their Omegas, so taking care of Annie by herself was never seen as an issue. However, Annie was a bit more independent and Mikasa respected that, even though her upbringing screamed to make Annie stay home while she worked.

"I'm fine with that, but I can say the same for you, Annie. I don't want you stressing over a job and school while you're pregnant. So if it's getting to be too much, please allow me to step in. I'm here for you and I want you to depend on me. You're not going to be a burden if you depend on me, okay?"

Mikasa grabbed Annie's hand and brought it up to her lips, kissing it with a small smile. Annie immediately felt butterflies invade her stomach, the gesture overwhelming her to the point where she snatched her hand away. Mikasa stared at Annie with a confused look, leading Annie to stare back, not knowing why she just did that.

'You liar. You know exactly why you did that. Why are you so afraid to admit that you have feelings for Mikasa?'

'Because I don't know if it's because of the pregnancy or if I like her!'

'You got these butterflies even before you were pregnant, so just admit that you have feelings!'

"No!"

Annie realized that she had just shouted out loud in response to her internal argument. If Mikasa wasn't confused then, she surely was now. She sat back in her chair to put some extra space between them, clearly not wanting to anger Annie any further. Annie noticed immediately and felt terrible. Mikasa hadn't done anything wrong, but she still backed off. She always put Annie's feelings above her own no matter what the situation was. Mikasa was so caring and here Annie was making her feel bad.

"I'm..." Annie sighed.

"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to react that way... I guess I'm... just a little on edge. You didn't do anything wrong. Um… I'll depend on you for some things, but I still want some responsibility for myself. Both of us have to provide for our child, not just you. It might be a while until I find a job, so until then, I'll help around the house. You're going to be working non-stop after school and probably won't have time to cook and clean, so I'll take care of that myself. Although, when the time comes and I do get a job, we're going to sit down, discuss, and split the responsibilities. For now, don't worry about it. You better not take this as an opportunity to be a slob! I will starve you if you take advantage of my kindness."

Mikasa couldn't lie, hearing Annie take charge of the house chores made her extremely happy. She also felt bad for having these feelings, especially since Annie didn't want to be a housewife at all. But the Alpha had convinced herself not to worry since the situation wouldn't be permanent. Hopefully, Annie wouldn't feel trapped in this unwanted role… hopefully… Either way, she was glad they had met an agreement where both parties were pleased. Mikasa finished up their conversation with a nod, the aura around them turning into a pleasant one because everything was now planned out.

After their late lunch, Mikasa thought their time at the mall would go by fast. Boy, was she wrong. They had gone through about three different stores at this point and yet not a single thing was bought. It wasn't even because Annie was stopping from Mikasa buying stuff; she was just so damn PICKY. With EVERY store they entered, Annie would make a face when she saw what they had to offer before walking out a few moments later. Mikasa didn't mind it; she was just surprised that Annie was like this. She had to say, learning more about Annie was truly the more interesting part of their situation. Never in her life did she expect Annie to be such a picky person, especially when most of her clothing was rather plain-looking.

'Every day you learn something new.'

Mikasa told herself as they entered yet another store, this one being Bath & Body Works. The Alpha's face scrunched up in displeasure when different fragrances invaded her senses. She never understood why people bought artificial spray to alter their scent. It just didn't make sense to her. Their scent was what made each of them unique, so why change it and become like everyone else? Mikasa wasn't going to voice her opinion because Annie seemed interested in this store. They had already been there for a while, so Mikasa took this as progress.

She watched closely as Annie picked up multiple different types of body wash, lotion, and perfumes. Which Mikasa continued to make a face at, already thinking about how sweet-smelling her room will be soon. If it made Annie more comfortable and feel at home though, she was willing to make that sacrifice. Once Annie seemed to have everything she wanted, Mikasa paid the bill and booked it out of the store, her senses thanking her once she stepped outside. Annie noticed this and let out a soft chuckle before handing Mikasa her bags.

"What? The big Alpha can't handle a little bit of perfume? Do you not buy some nice smelling lotions? Don't tell me I'm living with an Alpha who uses three-in-one soap."

"How dare you accuse me of something that terrible! I just use unscented soaps and natural smelling lotions and such. I'm more of a natural scent type of girl, so just warn me when you put that godforsaken stuff on. I'm gonna need to air out our room for an hour afterward."

Annie couldn't help but roll her eyes. She managed to pick such a plain Alpha. Even Reiner and Ymir would wear some type of cologne, so this was her first time interacting with someone who didn't like extra scents. It wouldn't be an issue, of course. Mikasa's natural scent was quite pleasing to the blonde regardless. But this didn't mean Annie wouldn't tease her for using unscented products. In fact, she planned to use this as an excuse for calling Mikasa stinky.

"Air out the room afterward? Psh! I should be airing the room out after you shower! Unscented soap? You're gonna be a smelly Alpha stinking up our room!"

Mikasa gasped and stopped mid-step, sending a mean glare Annie's way. She was NOT stinky and she'd be damned if that became a nickname.

"Excuse me? I smell amazing! You're the stinky one! What else are you buying all this perfume and lotion for?"

"Me?! Stinky?! I'm just an Omega! We like to smell good, something you don't understand, Miss 'I-use-unscented-soap-and-can't-stand-other-smells!' You smell!"

"Well if I stink that much, then maybe YOU can hold your own bags."

Mikasa held out the bags for Annie to take and it went silent between them. Annie glanced at the bags than at Mikasa, not knowing what to do. If she didn't take the bags, then Mikasa won the argument. If she DID take the bags, that meant Annie was the more victorious one. Instead, a smirk grew on her face and she put on a hurt expression.

"You'd make me hold those heavy bags? I'm just a little Omega who has a broken nose! I thought you were supposed to take care of me, big Alpha!"

Annie knew she sounded ridiculous, but when Mikasa let out a defeated groan, she knew that victory was hers.

Thankfully, their shopping seemed to go by faster after that. They hopped from store to store, getting all of Annie's necessities. The entire time, Mikasa came to fully realize just how much Omegas needed to feel comfortable. She was no stranger to them wanting or needing softer things such as bigger pillows, but maybe she underestimated how much a pregnant Omega would differ on their comfort scales. She didn't expect to be buying soft fur blankets, big squishy pillows, and an entire foam mattress topper all at once. Mikasa wasn't sure the bed would have anything of her own left on it.

'Well, there goes any ounce of Alpha I had left in my room…'

She tried to look on the bright side, thinking that this just meant that her bed would be comfier, although it came at the sacrifice of her Alpha pride. Mikasa just knew that if her football team saw her room, they'd tease her for having an "Omega" room. At least she had a pretty girl sharing said room with her, which was more than could be said for most of her teammates.

They continued to walk, nearing the end of their shopping trip when Annie walked into another store. Mikasa began to blindly follow Annie inside but paused when she finally noticed what was inside. Everywhere, mannequins displayed different types of lingerie and Mikasa became highly aware of what the store was. She took a step backward and stayed outside, watching as Annie walked further into Victoria's Secret.

"Wait! Annie! Here!" Mikasa called out to Annie from the entrance and pulled out some cash, still wanting to pay for Annie's things but not making any attempt to go anywhere near the store.

Annie turned around and couldn't believe what Mikasa was doing. She crossed her arms as she walked back to the Alpha, giving her an 'are you serious right now?' expression. Mikasa averted her eyes from Annie's glare and proceeded to push the money into her hands.

"Mikasa, it's just a store. You're not going to wait out here like some awkward dad. Put your money back in your wallet and come inside."

"I'm not going in there. They're probably going to think we're having sex or something. What if someone we know sees us? Also, I am a dad! I can stand around awkwardly if I want to."

The Omega woman rolled her eyes and grabbed Mikasa's wrist to yank her inside, to which Mikasa planted her feet down in an attempt to fight against it. It was a pretty funny scene considering that Mikasa was so much bigger than Annie. Still, despite Mikasa's resistance, Annie wouldn't let go until she came with her.

"Mikasa! I'm pregnant! We have been having sex! None of your arguments are valid! Now get in here! I'll let you pick out something for me if it means it'll get you in!"

That seemed to convince Mikasa because, within seconds, they were both inside. However, Mikasa did stick close to Annie the entire time, glancing over the blonde's shoulder to see what she picked up. Her eyes widened slightly whenever Annie chose something rather scandalous, but Mikasa didn't comment, choosing to watch silently until Annie asked her to choose something out. From there, Mikasa grabbed a black and blue lingerie set they had passed by earlier. Annie looked at her with surprise, not expecting the Alpha to have already had something in mind.

"Looks like someone's been paying attention while we've been in here," Annie said with a chuckle as she tossed the set into her basket.

"Well, you said I could pick something out for you and that's what caught my eye. Don't make fun of me now!"

"I'm not! I'm just a little surprised you already had something in mind."

"I mean, I'm sure you'd look nice in any of the stuff you already chose. But I think these colors would look nice on you for my personal pleasure."

Annie couldn't help but smile at Mikasa's words, her inner Omega being rather pleased that an Alpha was fond of her. She leaned up and pressed a gentle kiss to Mikasa's lips, knowing it would catch the Alpha off guard. Annie was correct with Mikasa not expecting it but she returned the kiss nonetheless, creating this sweet moment between them.

"Maybe I'll wear it tonight because you listened for once."

"Oh yeah? Maybe if you wore this type of stuff often then I might consider listening more."

"As if I'd wear it for a stinky Alpha like you!"

"HEY!"

After that awkward yet endearing incident, they finally finished their shopping and began driving back to school. Annie would've liked to go straight home but considering her car was still there and Mikasa had football practice, there was no way around not stopping at school. It was fine though, at least they had some time to themselves and even bonded a bit. Annie was glad they had planned everything and hoped to god they stuck to it this time. They didn't need everything falling apart like it did last time. If it did somehow fail, Annie was gonna be convinced the world just hated her.

When they arrived back at school, Annie excused herself from Mikasa. During the car drive, she decided it would be best to tell her coach about everything that was going on. Annie was a bit upset she wouldn't be able to finish up her season but it was for the best. Trying to finish the rest of her games with a busted nose and while pregnant was a setup for disaster. The blonde was a little worried about losing any scholarships offered to her but decided to hope for the best. If they wanted her on their team then they wouldn't care if she finished the season or not.

Annie wanted to make their interaction short yet to the point. There was no reason for her to try and beat around the bush with something so important. Also, Annie wasn't all that good at lying anyway, so this saved her the embarrassment. So Annie stomped onto that soccer field like she owned it, confidence behind every step towards her coach. However, when she finally arrived at the said coach, all of her confidence disappeared and was replaced with fear. Right there, next to her coach, was Zeke Yeager, and he immediately called out to Annie.

"Annie! There you are! I've been trying to find you all day, let's speak for a moment!"
