Chapter 5: A Horse Named Stitches

When Katelyn and the Furry Felines exited the press conference and the conference room altogether, they left for the exit of the Pentagon with the lead of the government agency manager. There, the manager of the government agency commitment asked his good friend, a brown-haired man named Tom, to lead them to the Old City District stables. That was the place where all the horses were kept. The horses kept in those stables were used for the city's many purposes, including the police's mounted unit, the cavalry services, and the carriage rides offered in the district. However, Katelyn was the one who had many questions to ask.

"So, how many more miles to the Old City District?" Katelyn asked Tom.

"So, we turn this corner, and you have to go through a tunnel. That tunnel leads to what we call the Old City District. It is one of the oldest sections of the city." Tom said.

"Really?" Katelyn asked.

"Yes." Tom explained. However, halfway through the walk, Byleth showed up.

"Byleth! What the hell are you doing here?" Katelyn asked.

"Bad news, guys. There was a big, black, horned German Shepherd flying over the Pentagon." Byleth said. "And what's even worse? The people left the Pentagon unsupervised."

"How the hell could that have happened?" Tom asked. "Nobody can leave the building unsupervised, so says the manager of the agency commitment!"

"Well, the manager is in the building though, but he just got on his lunch break." Byleth said.

"But how can that be possible?!" Tom asked.

"Don't know." Byleth said. "But I think that German Shepherd is Labolas." He later said.

"Oh, no…" Stripes said in a worried manner.

An hour passed after the freak out about how Labolas broke into the Pentagon's security. Then, the group, which consisted of the Furry Felines, Katelyn, and Byleth, finally reached the destination of the Old City District's stables. That was when Tom met and greeted the manager, Rita. She was a beautiful turquoise-haired girl who looked almost similar to a famous star that Katelyn met back in the days of old.

"Rita, this is Katelyn. She is here for a horse to ride into Cyberville." Tom said.

"It's an honor to meet you, fair one." Rita said.

"Hi, Rita! It's so nice to meet you." Katelyn said.

"I bet you are excited as I am. Why don't you come on inside the stables and we will show you what we've got, OK?" Rita said.

"OK." Katelyn said. "I'll come." And so, Katelyn went inside the stables to see exactly what Rita had in store.

"OK, Katelyn." Rita said as she began to speak. "As you can see, over 100 different horses are kept here. The police use them, the cavalry services use them, the carriages use them for tourist purposes, and we also use them to provide one-hundred-dollar horseback rides around the city."

"That sounds like a lot of things you use these horses for." Katelyn said.

"And, sometimes, filmmakers will rent these horses for their movies." Rita said. "So, these horses will travel everywhere and anywhere." Suddenly, a female chestnut horse with a stripe caught Katelyn's eye.

"What is it, Katelyn?" Rita asked.

"I think this one likes me…" Katelyn said. "Does she?"

"Heh. She sure does. That's one of the top cavalry horses in the entire land." Rita explained. "Her name is Stitches."

"Can you tell me more about her?" Katelyn asked.

"Not at all, Katelyn." Rita said. "You see, Stitches started out in the cavalry services as a 8-year-old horse. Then, after we found out that the former cavalry services didn't need her anymore, we as the city district took her in. And, she has received many medals of honor for her hard work with the services."

"Cool." Katelyn said.

"But sadly, her previous rider, a young 33-year-old man, died from a huge, black German Shepherd with wings and horns."

"Was it Labolas?" Katelyn asked. "Because that is who comes to my mind."

"It in fact was Labolas." Rita explained. "So, Stitches here is looking for a new rider. And by your happy-go-lucky looks, you look perfect for her."

"So, what are you technically saying?" Katelyn asked.

"I'm not saying anything." Katelyn said. "I'm asking if you would like to have Stitches as her next faithful rider."

"Why… that would be an honor, Rita." Katelyn said.

"Thanks, Katelyn." Rita said. "I'll just gather up some of her belongings and lead her outside."

"OK." Katelyn said.

Back with Tom, The Furry Felines, and Byleth, they were waiting eagerly for Katelyn's return with the horse. Then, she was coming.

"Wow. I can't even imagine how big that horse is." Stripes said. "Hey, Sitri. What do you and young Beleth think?"

"I don't know, Stripes…" the tiger Sitri said.

"Yeah… that horse looks awfully big…" the tiger cub Beleth said.

"Stitches is not all that big." Rita said. "And she is definitely not a pony."

"Is that the horse's name, Rita?" Byleth asked.

"Yes." Rita responded.

"So now what are we supposed to do?" Katelyn asked.

"I'll go get a trailer and put Stitches inside and take her to the Pentagon." Rita said. "You can saddle her up from there, Katelyn."

"Fine. I'll do it." Katelyn said. "Even though I hardly know how to do it."

"I'll help you, Katelyn. I know everything about it." Byleth said. "I happened to learn everything about horses from my father, Jeralt."

"I'll let you help, Byleth." Katelyn said.

"Great." Byleth responded.

Back at the Pentagon where Project: Gateway to Cyberville was, everyone was in a panic because of Labolas, the big black German Shepherd with the big black wings and striped, black horns. There, he was causing chaos to the government and the FBI workers.

"Oh my gosh! Somebody help me!" an FBI agent said.

"Ah, ah! You will never get away from Count Labolas Caacrinolaas, the Bloodshed Hound Dog of Transylvania!"

"You know what, Labolas, you are no match for the government of the United States of America!" The government agency manager said. "You will die just like your creator and fellow canines did during the Sundrop Plague of 1765!"

"Oh, really?!" Labolas asked the government agency manager. He decided that he has had enough with the government and decided to bite the manager with his venomous bite. The manager, having suffered from the poison, collapsed onto the floor. Later, Katelyn, the Furry Felines, and Byleth returned to the main room.

"What the hell?!" Katelyn asked.

"Oh, and I am guessing you are the creator of that wretched video game town?" Labolas asked.

"And who do you think you are?!" Katelyn asked.

Labolas spoke out. "I am Count Labolas Caacrinolaas, the Bloodshed Hound Dog of Transylvania! And I think I see something very important to me over there." He later looked at the grey tabby cat, Foofy, a member of the Furry Felines.

"No, Labolas! You can't abduct me again! I swear to the gods I will freaking kill you!" Foofy exclaimed as he was trying to be brave for his fellow felines.

"Oh, so you think you can kill me, eh, Foofy?" Labolas asked. "I'll tell you what you are. You are just a pathetic, helpless weakling. And I think I might have you. For good, that is! Hahaha! You are going to come into the gateway to Cyberville with me so I can freaking kill you!" Labolas later exclaimed. Suddenly, something came through the portal. It was a fossa!

"Wait, Count Labolas!" The fossa said.

"Finley?" Labolas asked. "What the freaking hell are you doing here?!"

"Don't harm the beautiful cat." Finley the fossa said. "I have better plans."

"And what are you going to do about our precious Foofy?! Foofy is ours! Foofy is… Foofy!" Bereto hollered.

"I am going to take him into Cyberville, and he will be locked in a cage with a sleeping spell! Ahahahahaha!" Finley said.

"This is terrible!" Byleth said. Then, Katelyn went to go get Stitches the horse.

"And where… where is she going?!" Labolas asked.

"She's going to get Stitches, Labolas! Get over it, you big bastard!" King said.

"No… no, King… tell her I need to speak with her!" the government agency manager said in his dying voice. When Katelyn heard that he was dying, she immediately went over to him.

"What do you want?!" Katelyn asked.

"Oh, Creator of Cyberville… please… you must take over the government's way of ruling Cyberville."

"Sir, she's just a high school student!" Stripes said.

"I… I know, Stripes…" The dying manager said. "But… until Johanna gets promoted to be the new government agency manager for the United States of America… then Katelyn will have to take the spotlight. She will have to fight off Labolas with an unstoppable army of characters."

"So, you're saying that my friend who mains me in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has to form another army to stop the Cuddly Canines and the fossae?" Byleth asked.

"That's what the word is, Byleth." A worker for the government said. He later turned to Katelyn. "Katelyn, will you lead an army into Cyberville's portal?"

"I'll do it, sir. Not only for the US Government, but for all of Cyberville." Katelyn said. Is everyone with me on this?"

"We as the Furry Felines are with you, Katelyn" Stripes said. "You know we would never leave you." And so, after the Furry Felines and the rest of the group agreed with Katelyn about her leading another Cyberville army, everyone jumped into the portal. Except for Katelyn, that was. This is when her mother and father wanted to see her for a very important thing.

"Katelyn. Take this. For the sake of your Uncle Farley." Katelyn's mother said. "This charm… it's something that may help you in battle." When Katelyn took the silver charm, she was immediately granted with divine powers. These divine powers caused many changes to her appearance, with many of these changes giving her a scepter that had many powers and spells bound inside of it. She knew that with this scepter, she would be able to stop Labolas and rescue Foofy and bring him back to the Furry Felines. A true magical adventure was about to emerge again when Katelyn went to retrieve Stitches from outside. But little did she know that many challenges had to be fought through in order to win the day at Cyberville.
