Three weeks later

Amanda finally woke up from her coma. Olivia brought Aniyah, Billie, and Jesse to visit Amanda. During each visit, Olivia and Amanda did not talk about the reveal of the previous days, nor did they talk about anything other than their initial greetings. It was decided that Olivia would continue to watch over Aniyah, Billie, and Jesse until the young detective can be discharged from the hospital.

Four days later

The hospital

"Hey, mama." Aniyah said as she walked into her mom's hospital room.

"Hey baby girl, what are you doing here and is Olivia here with you?" Amanda asked

"I missed you and no Olivia is not with me." Aniyah said as she climbed into the bed and lay down next to her mom, as Amanda kissed her forehand.

"You do know that you can't avoid your mom forever, right?" Aniyah asked

"I know but I blew up at her. I pushed her away without letting her really get a word in. She just seemed so sad and all I was was angry" Amanda said

"You know it is not too late to talk to her. Right?" Aniyah asked

"Yeah, but would she want to talk to me?" Amanda whispers to herself.

"Remember, she was only a teenager when she had you. And unless you talk to her you can't truly understand the situation she was in back then." Aniyah said

Amanda looked at her daughter in surprise.

"Well looked at you." Amanda said

"Okay this was Carisi's idea. He wanted to talk to you but he did not want you to get mad. So he told me to do it because he knew that you could never just be mad at me. Also he is in the hallway." Aniyah said with a smile.

Amanda rolled her eyes.

"Go get Carisi for me. Please" Amanda said

"Okay." Aniyah said as she walked into the hallway.

A few seconds later

"Let me guess she told you?" Carisi asked as he walked into the room.

"Yep. Also could you call Liv and tell her I want to talk? That i can drop by her place tomorrow to pick up Jesse, Billie and Aniyah and discuss things" Amanda said

"Sure." Carisi said as he kissed Amanda.

"Oh God, stop please." Aniyah said as she brought one hand up to cover her eyes.

"I did not need to see that." Aniyah said

"Aniyah, are you ready to go or are you going to be late for your appointment?" Carisi said

"Okay. Bye mama." Aniyah said as Amanda kissed her on her forehand.

"Bye." Carisi said as he brought his lips crashing back down on Amanda.

"Oh God, stop please." Aniyah said as she ran out of the room.

Amanda and Carisi just laugh.

"Your daughter has a very interesting personality." Carisi said

"Yes she does. That's why I love her. Oh, I've been wanting to ask you, how has Aniyah been lately since that day?" Amanda asked

"Well, she is doing great. Dr. Arley said that she is safe and that he cant get her or you then she will be okay." Carisi said

"That's great, I just wish he would just stay out of our life." Amanda said

"Me too." Carisi said as Aniyah walked back into the room.

"Come on slowpoke." Aniyah said

"I should get going. I will be back later today." Carisi said

"Okay bye." Amanda said as she watched Carisi leave the room.

The next day

Amanda arrived at Olivia's apartment around noon the next morning. Amanda took a deep breath and knocked strongly against the door.

Moments later they heard a latch being undone at the top of the door and soon it opened slowly to reveal Aniyah.

"Hi." Aniyah said with a smile.

"Hi baby girl. Where is everyone?" Amanda asked

"In the living room." Aniyah said as they walked into the living room

"Mama!" Jesse and Billie said as they ran and hugged Amanda.

"We missed you." Jesse said

"I did too." Amanda said as kissed the top of their heads.

"Aniyah when are we leaving?" Noah asked

"In a few minutes." Aniyah said as she picked up her bag.

"Where are you guys going?" Olivia asked

"The park, so you and mom can have some space to discuss whatever you need to get out in the open" Aniyah said

"Amanda?" Olivia questioned.

"I'm good with that" Amanda said

"Great, come on guys let go and have fun." Aniyah said as they all walked to the door.

"Bye." Jesse, Billie, Noah, and Aniyah said as they walked out of the apartment leaving just Amanda and Olivia.

"Would you like something to drink or eat?" Olivia asked

"No thank you, I'm fine." Amanda said as she sat down on the couch.

"Okay, what is it that you want to know?" Olivia asked

"Why don't you just start at the beginning," Amanda said

"So I was fifteen when I got pregnant with you. Your father, Zachary Rodgers, was eighteen. When he found out I was pregnant, he got mad. I by no means saw or heard from him since. My mother didn't take the information too nicely either. She said she wouldn't let me raise the baby. That's after I decided that the best thing for you was to give yourself a completely different chance from what I had. The chance to grow up in a family that never let you down just for being there, but will love you with all its heart." Olivia said as A tear escaped from the brunette's eyes and she stopped to wipe away.

"I met the people that would adopt you. They were so kind and caring, I thought you would have the perfect life with them. I didn't know. I mean if I could have imagined that they would. I just wish you knew I would have kept you for even one second." Olivia rushed out. Her feelings started to get the better of her as she rushed to explain herself to her daughter.

They talk for a little while longer when Aniyah, Noah, Billie, and Jesse walk back into the apartment. Aniyah was holding a sleeping Billie.

"How was the park?" Amanda said

"It was great then it started raining." Noah said

"Oh." Olivia and Amanda said at the same time

"Jesse and I are going to watch a movie in my room." Noah said

"Okay." Olivia said as she watched Jesse and Noah walked into Noah's room.

"So i was thinking, since Olivia is your mother that made Noah your little brother and my, Jesse and Billie uncle. That is weird." Aniyah said as she laid Billie down on the couch.

Amanda and Olivia just smiled.
