Chapter 5: The Hollywood Glitz and Glam Sleepover
One hot third Saturday of August 2021, I met up with my childhood friends Sarah, James, and Henri at Pittsburgh's Perfect Parties client Madison Dayley's house in Springdale for her Hollywood Glitz and Glam Sleepover. Some of my other best friends, Carly Shay and Spencer Puckett, along with Carly's stepdad, Freddie, were also there. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Sarah greeted back. First, we played Hollywood Couple Shuffle, in which Ava won due to knowing the most celebrity couples. Then, we played Acceptance Speech, in which Madison's speech won for Freaky Fry Day, which was a parody of Freaky Friday. Then, there was Who's Got Talent?, which was a talent show featuring Madison dancing to Alessia Cara's song "Here", Penelope and Everleigh performing Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande's song "Rain On Me", Laci rocking out on the air guitar to The Lumineers' song "Ho Hey", and Ava performing The Chainsmokers and Daya's song "Don't Let Me Down" on the piano. Madison's and Ava's performances both won Most Creative, Kaitlyn and Colleen's performance won Most Collaborative, and Laci's performance won Most Rockin'. Other activities we did included Back to the Future, Lights, Camera, Action, and Walk of Fame. Then, it was time for snacks, which were Golden Nuggets, Tuxedo Cookies, and Red Carpet Salsa. "Boy, I sure wish that we could eat all of that delicious food, Mr. Benson," Henri stated. "Well, unfortunately we can't, Henri," Mr. Benson pointed out. "I wonder what it would be like if I ever became famous, Spencer," James pointed out. "I'm not sure, James," Spencer stated. "Kudos to you for serving all of this food on paper plates, Madison," I stated. "Uh-huh," Sarah agreed. "Along with not having to wash dishes, it is good for recycling, and that is something that I learned from failing my Earth Day project back in high school." "Speaking of which, I am feeling much better, Sarah," Carly pointed out. "Yes, that's good to hear, Carly," Sarah stated. "Summer Family Camp this week was so much fun!" Carly happily exclaimed. "It took my mind off of my bad feelings." "Yes, it's true that we do have some good times together, all right," I stated. "I especially like the time that you came up to visit me here at Edinboro University, and we ate pizza and ice cream." "We got to do all of those fun activities just before the party today," Carly happily continued, "and we got Glen's Frozen Custard, as well!" "We also got to listen to some other great musical artists besides just Santana and NSYNC," I pointed out. "And, that is what makes helping out with a sleepover party so much fun!" After the party was over, it was time for all of us to leave. "Thanks for a great day, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Sarah replied. "Good night, guys!" "Good night!"
