"What have you got for us?"

"There was a robbery last night at Point Loma Naval Base at the NMMP." Eric said.

"The Navy Marine Mammal Program?" Callen asked to confirm.

"That's right."

"Marine mammals? Like mermaids?" Deeks asked. "Sorry, no, stupid question, the military probably wouldn't let merMAIDS enlist. Are they any merMEN?"

Every single person in ops ignored Deeks and moved on.

"The marine mammal program is composed of dolphins, sea lions, and some other marine mammals that are trained to locate and identify explosives and can also serve as sentries at various naval bases."

"What was stolen?" Kensi asked.

"Not a what, a who." Eric said while tapping at his keyboard. Suddenly an image of a bottle nosed dolphin appeared on the big screen.

"Meet Tito, a 7 year old male bottle nosed dolphin who has been a part of NMMP for almost 5 years now. He was reported missing this morning by the Officer in Charge there."

"Who works with the dolphin?" Callen asked.

"That would be his trainer. Chief Petty Officer Ethan Kraft. He is a Navy EOD tech."

"Navy EOD, those guys are legit." Sam said. "They clear all kinds of ordinance both on land, and are the only unit trained to clear mines underwater."

"Exactly, and they identify those mines often with the help of animals like Tito. Tito is what's classified as a Mk 7, which are dolphins that have been trained to located mines on the sea floor or buried under sediment." Eric said.

"Any chance Kraft could be involved?"

"Not sure." Nell replied. "Although he didn't show up for work this morning and didn't call in sick."

"Looks like we already have a lead." Kensi added.

"This case is our top priority right now." Hetty said as she entered through the sliding doors into ops.

"What exactly would anyone want with a Navy dolphin?" Deeks asked.

"That's what the Navy would like us to find out." Hetty said. "Your mission is to head to Point Loma and find out everything you can to safely retrieve the dolphin"

"Tito." Eric corrected.

"…Tito" Hetty said staring over at Eric. "And find out who took him and why."

"Alright, sounds like we'll need all hands on deck. Let's all head down there and get started."

"Alright, road trip!" Deeks exclaimed. "SHOTGUN!"

"No way, we'll be taking two separate cars." Callen said.

"What? Why? Come on there's plenty of space in the Audi." Deeks whined.

"No, see we'll definitely need two cars. In case we need to spit up." Sam added.

"Ahh, smart thinking there, papa bear. Alright, Kens and I will see you down there." Deeks said, waving goodbye to his teammates.

"Later guys." Kensi said smiling while shoving her partner out of the room.

"Can you have someone in logistics book us a place to stay." Callen asked Nell. "We're probably gonna be setting up shop down there for a few days.

"Already on it." Nell said. "Shelly in logistics booked two rooms for you guys."

"Please tell me I'm bunking with Sam." Callen asked worried.

"Do I look stupid to you?"

"No, but I don't know Shelly very well…"

"I've got you covered."

"Nell, you're the best. Let's go big guy."

"Again with the big guy." Sam said annoyed as they left Hetty and the two meerkats up in ops.
