ATM: The Bonehead and the Brain – Seth and the God Girls Strike Back!
Seth and the God girls grow closer while Sasha spends more time with Roman and his family. Hunter deals with the fallout of losing his family's trust and Stephanie and Bayley release the Black Heart Diaries and reveal more than the wrestling world expected.
Chapter Six – The Case against DX
HayMac's apartment, Manhattan, New York City, NY
Hayworth rubbed his chin tensely as MacKenzie made Jasmine tea for him and his guests, Stephanie McMahon, Beth and Jeff Hardy, Finn Balor, Kenny Omega, Professor Kendrick Alexander and the Damsels of Destruction.
The Damsels had gotten legal counsel for Hayworth and what they had to say had given Hayworth much to think about. No-one was more happy about what Hayworth's new legal representation had to say than Stephanie McMahon; the lawyers had told the Damsels that as the firstborn son of Helmsley, the DX inheritance could not be revoked and passed to a non-family member. In order for Seth Rollins to acquire the Sandbox and the WWE, Seth Rollins would have to marry a DX family member. He was legally an outsider, so the estate had to remain in the DX family name.
"I assume you're happy about this," Stephanie asked Hayworth.
"Yes, I am," Hayworth replied but his facial expression did not change. He was heavy and sad, what Hunter had done was really weighing on him and his face only perked up when MacKenzie handed him a cup of Jasmine tea. "Thank you my love," he said to her as she served their guests. "I am very happy about this,"
"Well, how about I make you even happier?" Stephanie said taking a cup of tea from the tray MacKenzie was passing around. "The DX estate was stolen from my father several years ago. If I sue DX for stealing my father's compound and company, then, when I win the case, I'll settle with you for any amount of money that you want. You can build your family's future however you want. Does that sound like a good deal Hayworth?"
"Why should I trust you, after everything you've done to my family?" Hayworth replied sternly.
"Can you trust your father after what he just did to you and your family? At least I'm honest about my tactics, Hunter plotted against you and your wife, knowing that you were never going to get those assets. Seth Rollins has been his pet project for years and you innocently sat by, thinking he would do right by you," Stephanie said shaking her head in sympathy and she leaned closer to Hayworth, "Let me tell you something about your father Hayworth, Hunter only does right by his friends. He couldn't care less about his family, that's why he betrayed you, that's why he chose to bless Seth Rollins with stolen DX property instead of you. Do you really think he'll ever accept MacKenzie as a Helmsley? He doesn't even accept you as his heir and you think I'm the enemy? I might be the only friend you've got. So, think about it Hayworth; make a deal with me and I will not double-cross you. After all, I'm a McMahon; I have a reputation to maintain,"
"So, is that why you've been going after Seth Rollins so hard with Bayley? You knew what Hunter was up to all along didn't you?" Hayworth asked Stephanie and the Billion Dollar Princess was taken aback by the reference Hayworth made to his father by his first name.
The family tie had been cut, Hayworth had already severed ties with his father emotionally. Now all he had to do was sever ties with Hunter legally, then Stephanie could remould him in her image, just like she tried to do with Hunter in the McMahon-Helmsley era, many, many, many years ago.
"The thing with Seth is a little more complicated but I'll explain it all to you, if you take me up on my offer to sue DX for my father's stolen property. What do you say Hayworth, are you going to team up with me and take DX down for good? Or are you going to sit on the sidelines and watch the DX family go on without you as the new patriarch of the DX family? I'm sure Seth would love to take your spot at the table," Stephanie said and Hayworth finished his tea and put his empty tea cup on the tray Mac had passed around to everyone.
"If you win the case, I want one thing from you Stephanie. You can keep the money, all I want is to run WWE," Hayworth replied and MacKenzie looked at her husband in shock.
"But Hayworth, you don't care about wrestling, in fact, you hate wrestling. Why would you want to run the WWE?" Mac asked her husband concerned.
"It's simple Mac: so I can fire Seth Rollins and make the God girls' lives a living Hell," Hayworth replied and Mac's fingers trembled under the tea tray and her heart started to beat with anxious thoughts.
"I can help you do that," Stephanie said with an evil smile. "So do we have a deal?"
Hayworth leaned forward and extended his hand to Stephanie McMahon, "Yes, sue DX for everything they stole from you. With my smarts and my motivation, you're sure to win," he said confidently and Stephanie shook Hayworth's hand firmly with great joy.
"Finally, you've proven that you are in fact the Brain of Helmsley," Stephanie said and Professor Kendrick nodded.
"I always knew you'd put that Brain of yours to good use eventually Hayworth. Welcome to the winning side old Harvard buddy," she said and Kenny Omega nodded while Finn Balor and Beth Hardy exchanged nervous glances.
"I don't want my friends to be put on the unemployment line," Finn Balor said and Stephanie turned to him in disgust.
"Those people are not your friends. Get a grip Balor," Stephanie said derisively. "Finish your tea,"
Finn sat back and thought about Seth and the God girls and for the first time, he actually wanted to help them and he wasn't the only one.
"We have to warn them," Beth said through a text to Finn and Finn nodded when he read the message and he text back that they had to be careful. Stephanie was going to be watching their every move and if they were going to do anything, they were going to have to do it fast. The lawyers would be suing DX within hours and by then, it would be too late to get Seth and the God girls out of some very hot legal water.
"This tea is wonderful," Kenny Omega said to Charlene MacKenzie. A few minutes later, Hayworth, Stephanie, Beth Hardy, Finn Balor, Kenny Omega and Kendrick Alexander were all asleep.
After their cups fell to the ground, Charlene called Alexa Bliss and told her that the sleep tea had worked. Alexa said that they'd be out for twelve hours so Charlene MacKenzie had to get to the Sandbox and back before they woke up. She left Manhattan and headed to JFK to take the next flight to Connecitcut and warn Seth and the God girls exactly what was about to happen before Stephanie had a chance to put her evil plan into action. Time was running out so she had to move fast before Hayworth realised what she had done, even though he was her husband and she loved him, joining forces with Stephanie McMahon was the worst thing Hayworth Helmsley could do and Mac wasn't about to let him do it.
The DX Family Room, the Sandbox
Charlene MacKenzie Helmsley ran to the gates of the Sandbox with baited breath. As she rang the bell the gates opened and she raced inside to the door, where Seth Rollins was waitng for her. She crashed into his arms and he consoled her with a comforting hug.
"It's okay, we're waiting for you, you're going to be alright Mac," Seth assured her as she cried hard against his blue-grey t shirt.
"Hayworth wants to destroy you, oh God Seth it's terrible. He's plotting against you with Stephanie and her evil friends and family members. It was awful, that's not the man I married! This is such a mess, we have to stop Stephanie before she turns my husband into a Black Hearted monster like Bayley!" Charlene cried and Seth listened hearing her concern while stroking her back to soothe her pain.
"It's okay Mac, come inside," Seth said and he walked Mac into the foyer where Becky and Alexa were waiting for them.
"Thanks for listening to me," Alexa said to Mac as Seth walked her over to them. "Bianca's still with Montez and she can't be disturbed right now. By the time they wake up, Bianca will be back and the clock and you'll have help with Hayworth when you go back to New York,"
"In the meantime, you can tell us what's going on, then you have to go home and act like nothing's happened," Becky Lynch said. "Hayworth has to think you're on his side, you have to remain loyal to him while we fix Stephanie MacMahon,"
"I can't lie to my husband," Mac protested. "You have to fix this before he wakes up!"
"Mac, we can't do anything until Bianca gets back. We have to hear from God before we do anything, that's just how we operate," Seth explained and MacKenzie threw her hands up with frustration.
"Great, my marriage is going to Hell and Bianca's getting it on with her husband just three blocks away. Your God girls really need to get their priorities in order Seth," Mac complained.
"Saving marriages is our priority Mac," Alexa said. "Bianca needed to spend time with her husband, she's better after sex,"
"Aren't we all?" Mac said and she shared a laugh with Seth while Alexa and Becky shrugged.
"We wouldn't know," Becky said.
"We're not at liberty to speak on that topic, all we know is that married people need to get laid often and we can't pull Bianca off of her husband so that you can get back on top of yours," Alexa added and Mac felt guilty.
"You're right, I have to handle Hayworth on my own. I can't expect you guys to do for me what you did for Seth and Sasha. I haven't earned that level of help," she said and Seth put a gentle hand on her shoulder.
"We can sure pray for you though. You can get a lot further with prayer than you can people," he said and Mac nodded. "Maybe you should talk to your father and tell him what's going on,"
"No, he's on Hunter's side. He thinks that you deserve Hayworth's share of the DX estate. Hayworth hates him now," Mac said and Seth's face fell at her words.
"How can anyone hate Pastor Mac?" he said hurt and he looked at his watch, "I really need us at full strength. Bianca better be back on the clock by tomorrow morning,"
"She will be Seth," Becky said coming to Bianca's defense, "give her a chance to get her panties back on,"
"This is important Becky, remember what we're doing here. Maybe you should spend more time reading your Bible and less time thinking about Bianca's underwear," Seth said firmly and Mac and Alexa chuckled as Becky's face lit up with indignation.
"Are you calling me a lesbian?!" she retaliated.
"I'm just saying, keep your dirty thoughts to yourself and make yourself useful. Give Mac a hug or something, just quit thinking about the Fords having sex in New York," Seth said and Becky was irate.
"But you're the one who said that marriage is important, now you want Bianca to come back to work?! Which one is it gonna be Seth, sex or sacrifice?" Becky said.
"He wouldn't know Becky, some people don't have to make that choice," Sasha Banks said coming out of the DX family room to see what all the commotion was about. She saw MacKenzie Helmsley and gave Seth a questioning look, "What is Hayworth's wife doing here?"
"Don't worry about it babe, we'll be back in shortly. We just need to wrap up some business before Mac goes back to New York," Seth said and Sasha looked Mac up and down critically.
"I'm sorry you have to go through all this stuff so soon after your wedding but trust me, it will get better," Sasha assured her and Mac nodded.
"Thank you Sasha," she said with a smile. "I sure hope so,"
"With my husband helping you, you'll be just fine. Seth knows how to make a marriage work, don't you baby?" Sasha said hugging her husband and Becky tried not to roll her eyes as Sasha kissed Seth and squeezed his butt, right in front of her.
"Why are you scowling at them like that?" Mac asked Becky who quickly tried to fix her facial expression.
"Sorry, I was just hoping we could finish our conversation with Seth but I guess we'll have to wait until Boss pulls her tongue out of his throat," Becky said sarcastically and the Man folded her arms impatiently while Mac exchanged glances with Alexa.
"What's up with her?" she asked Bliss.
"Nevermind her, she's just having a hard time being single," Alexa said shoving Becky on the arm but the Man no-sold it.
"Listen, if you need a date, come back to New York with me. I know how to get a man's attention, I'll get you a date in no time Becky," MacKenzie assured Lynch.
"No, I can't date anyone right now. Bianca said I have to wait until God tells her who the man I'm supposed to be with is," Becky said.
"Well, Bianca needs to get back soon because you need a man of your own. Maybe then you wouldn't be giving Sasha such dirty looks," MacKenzie said.
"Trust me Mac, I've been giving Sasha Banks dirty looks my entire career," Becky Lynch said and she went to get her trusty ice bucket and Alexa sighed as she poured its now empty contents all over Seth and Sasha Rollins.
"YARGHH!" Seth and Sasha cried out and Becky laughed while Mac shook her head and thanked God that she wasn't in love with Seth anymore.
"Seth your girls need to keep it together and I really need your help so please, quit making Becky mad and let her start dating again," Mac said to Seth as the multiple ice cubes slipped out of his blue-grey t shirt.
"What man would date the Man? She's nuts. Go get me a dry shirt," Seth said to Becky annoyed. "I'm really starting to wonder if Sasha was right about you,"
Becky's face dropped and her laughter stopped, "What did you tell him about me?" she asked Sasha firmly.
"Oh I'll leave that to Bianca, after all, she always tells the Truth. Are you sure you want to Braid to come back from her marriage break? I got a feeling Seth's Treasurer of Secrets is going to let out more than you want her to Becky," Sasha said and Becky turned red with embarassment.
"I'm waiting!" Seth said to her pointing to his soaked shirt. "Why are you just staring at me like that? Go get me a clean shirt,"
"Okay, I'm sorry Seth," Becky said and she ran up to the East Wing while Seth ringed the water out of his hair and Sasha swept the excess water off of her skin.
Mac walked over to Alexa, "I think you need to tell your girl to cool it with the ice bucket thing. It's getting kinda rude, Seth and Sasha are married and she keeps dumping ice cold water on them. What's her problem?" she asked Alexa.
"Becky has multiple problems when it comes to Seth and Sasha," Alexa said and Seth's Maid of Armour was starting to wonder if the Man was too emotional to finish the assignment with the rest of the God girls.
Alexa went up to the East Wing to talk to Becky privately while Mac stayed with Seth and Sasha. She walked into Seth and Sasha's guest bedroom and found Becky crying into one of Seth's freshly pressed t shirts.
Alexa slid next to Becky and put her arm around her, "Becky what's wrong? Why are you crying, you never cry?!" Alexa asked Becky.
"This is what I've been reduced to Bliss, getting Seth a clean t shirt. Stephanie's right, I'm just his errand girl and I have to stand there and take it like a little b*** when his wife insults me. This isn't who I am, I don't think I can do this anymore, I just can't stand seeing them together. They are a horrible couple; Sasha brings out the worst in Seth. He's like a totally different person when they're together. He's not the man I remember being friends with, he used to be so much fun, now all he does is yell at me and tell me to behave myself like a good little God girl. I'm Becky "Freakin'" Lynch and he needs to put some respect on my name," Becky said and Alexa looked at the shirt that was now wet with Becky's tears.
"If you're so mad at him, why are you crying into his t shirt in his bedroom? You could have just stormed out of the Sandbox. Is there something else going on here Becky?" Alexa asked her gently and the Man fell silent. "Is there more to your feelings for Seth than just friendship?"
"No," Becky replied. "there's hatred. I really hate him and I want him to break up with Sasha and go back to being the guy I used to know. I don't know who he is anymore but the Seth Rollins I know, would never have dressed me down in front of Sasha and Mac,"
"Well Becky, maybe you should quit throwing ice water down his back everytime he makes out with Sasha. Mac says its disrespectful, I mean why shouldn't they make out? They're in love!" Alexa said and Becky looked at Alexa like she was crazy.
"If you tink Sasha is in love with Seth Rollins, then you're as stupid as you look. The only person Sasha Banks is in love with is Sasha Banks," Becky said and Alexa looked at Becky firmly.
"Get it together Becky; we're in a war and we need our best soldiers if we're going to win it. Sasha is not the enemy, so quit making her fight harder to enjoy her marriage than she has to. I told you already, focus on the assignment and stop trying to bury the Boss. You don't want Seth to see you like this, you could lose more than his respect. You could lose his friendship altogether," Alexa said and she pulled Becky to her feet and looked her straight in the eye, "that is unless, you want more than just his friendship,"
Becky's mouth dropped and she shook her head, "No, that's not what this is, I am not interested in Seth like that. I just care about him like everyone else, that's all,"
"Well, you have a real funny way of showing it," Alexa said and she looked at the crumpled up t shirt that Becky had been using as a tissue for the last ten minutes. "Bring a new t shirt when you come back downstairs and fix yourself up. You're a God girl Becky and you need to start acting like it,"
Alexa left Becky to gather herself and Becky found Seth a charcoal grey t shirt before going into the bathroom to fix herself up. As she looked for the Boss' make up, she went to apply some of Sasha's mascara to her own face but as the brush touched her lashes, her face tightened and she couldn't apply the mascara. Her hatred for Sasha was profound, so much so that she couldn't even borrow her make up.
"I have to figure out a way to use this hate to help Seth see Sasha for what she truly is; a no good, two-faced, lying b***," Becky said and she prayed and asked God to give her wisdom and understanding before she returned to the foyer with Seth's new shirt and nothing on her face but a smile.
