Betty
The next day
Sleeping was impossible and Betty didn't even know why she tried. Although there was something comforting about being curled up with Jugheads beanie. Sighing Betty rolls over and checks the time on her phone and groans. It is eight in the morning and she slept maybe two hours. Betty scolded herself for not trying harder. If she were going to do something to help Jughead she needed sleep. Climbing out of bed Betty gets changed. Three days in the same outfit might be stretching it. Plus she wants Edgar to think he isn't getting to her that bad. Betty grabs a hair tye and pins up her iconic ponytail. Hopefully this way she can get some real thinking done. Betty thinks to herself. If she were honest with herself she knew why she didn't get sleep. Every time she closed her eyes she saw Jughead. Like a montage of horrible photos of him. Especially of his back and what they have done to it. Putting those aside she starts working on her plan to get to Jughead. If they follow whoever shows up for the meeting tonight they may just pull it off. Betty finally makes it downstairs to pour over the files some more and refine her plan. No one bothers her which is almost unsettling. No Alice trying to pry into her business. No FP talking about work or how proud he is of Jughead. It was almost painful with the house this quiet. Thankfully Jellybean has been kept out of it. FP and Alice told her Jughead is on a trip. If Jelly bean is as smart as Betty knew she was she knew. Yet she stayed away when they told her to leave and didn't ask questions. In a way Jellybean was doing her own thing to save Jughead. Betty respected her for that. If couldn't be easy pretending. If anyone knew that it was Betty. After two cold cups of coffee and burnt toast Betty checks the time. It is Twelve thirty. Well she better get ahold of Archie and Veronica to tell them the plan. With a quick text to the group chat Betty heads outside to walk next door. She knocks politely on the door and after a second Archie answers. "Hey Betty come on we can go over the plan in the living room. My dad is at the job site today." Betty nods before walking into the house and walking straight to the living room. Veronica is sitting on the couch reading papers. She looks up as soon as she sense Betty. "Hey B. So what's the plan?"
A Few Hours Later
The three of them were packed in Alice's car the clock now reading four thirty. They are not even five minutes from the community center. Which was comforting since they were cutting it close. Betty watched the building grow large in her vision and she couldn't help the anxiety. When the car stops Betty bursts out and heads straight for the front door. She can hear both Veronica and Archie not far behind. She slams through the front door and barrels through the metal detector. She scans the whole center and finds only two figures. They are both in the center of the boxing ring. One is sitting beside the other and Betty inwardly groans. Great Edgar brought a thug. She thinks to herself in the dark community center. She hears a click behind her and turns to see where it came from. The room is flooded with light. Archie must have switched it on as soon as he got through the door. Betty looks back at the two figures and her knees almost buckle at who she sees. Jughead was seated in the chair wearing a strait jacket. His head is on his chest like he is unconscious. Then there is the hooded figure next to him. Betty feels her two friends stop and stare behind her. "Well come on in we don't have all day." The man says. Betty's feet move without command and she heads down the stairs. She makes it to the ring in no time and climbs through the ropes. Archie and Veronica are right behind her. "Well ladies and gentlemen let the game begin."
