ATM: The Bonehead and the Brain – Seth and the God Girls Strike Back!
Seth and the God girls grow closer while Sasha spends more time with Roman and his family. Hunter deals with the fallout of losing his family's trust and Stephanie and Bayley release the Black Heart Diaries and reveal more than the wrestling world expected.
Chapter Sixteen – She's Out of Control
Black Heart Diaries Studio, Hollywood, CA
Rocky watched as his wife paced back and forth rubbing the back of her neck but the tension she was feeling was all over her face. The necklace that Bayley had been using to gain access to Seth Rollins using witchcraft had been disabled and she could feel a loss of connection to the demon world. Now Bayley seemed to be going through some form of withdrawal; thanks to the God girls, particularly Becky Lynch, Bayley would never sleep with Seth Rollins again and she was pissed. The Rock couldn't be happier. His cousin Roman Reigns called him and told him that Seth, Becky and Bianca visited his wife Galina and together, they got rid of the demon in the necklace. That meant that Rocky no longer had anyone to compete with, Bayley was technically his again. What Rocky didn't understand, was that Bayley never really was his and the way she was currently acting was proof of that.
"Something's wrong, something's happened. I don't know what but I know something happened," Bayley said anxiously as the Rock watched her nervous behaviour.
"The reps from Jimmy Choo are going to be here soon. Stephanie said that Beth will be here soon so you better get yourself together. The Black Heart Diaries is coming out next week and this publicity is very important. Your whole life is going to change once this series goes live Bayley. You can't afford to be spending all your precious time thinking about Seth Rollins," Rocky said and Bayley stopped pacing and sneered at her husband.
"I will never stop thinking about Seth," she snapped and Rocky stood to his feet and put his hands in his pocket.
"Well, Seth stopped thinking about you a long time ago. All those times you thought he was thinking about you, he was thinking about his beautiful wife. There has never been another woman in Seth's mind, body and soul other than Sasha since they got married last year. Yet, here you are, almost a full year later and married to the most powerful man in Hollywood, still trying to shoe horn your way back into his life. Let me smarten you up Bayley," Rocky said coming up to Bayley and looking directly in her face. "He doesn't want you in his life,"
Bayley's face hardened and she stared hard into her husband's coffee brown eyes as Stephanie McMahon arrived with Beth Hardy.
"What up my beautiful friends," Stephanie said beaming and she hugged Rocky and Bayley as Beth Hardy dragged her miserable body behind her mother. "Seth has agreed to do the Jimmy Choo commercial. He'll be here a little later,"
Bayley's face lit up at the mention of Seth and Beth's face darkened. "Seth agreed to do the commercial?" she said delighted and she started to jump up and down excitedly while Stephanie tried not to laugh.
"Yes, he'll be here for the run through, why don't you and Beth go get made up? I'm sure the reps from Jimmy Choo will be here soon and they'll be ready to go by the time Seth get's here," Stephanie said and Bayley grabbed an unenthusiastic Beth Hardy and headed to make-up walking on air.
Rocky shook his head as his wife's whole demeanour changes at the very mention of Seth's name. He looked over at Stephanie and noticed that she had an anxious look on her face.
"What's wrong?" Rocky asked her removing her coat and giving her a cup of freshly brewed coffee.
Stephanie took the coffee and breathed out deeply, "It's my daughter," Stephanie said concerned, "I'm worried about her Rocky,"
Rocky nodded and he pointed to the couch by the lighting rig at the side of the Black Heart Studio, "Sit down, tell me why you're worried about her," Rocky said and Stephanie sat next to him on the couch putting her cell-phone on silent which shocked the Rock. Stephanie was about to offload some heavy emotional baggage onto one of her oldest friends.
"Earlier this week, Beth told me and her father that she wanted to have sex for the first time," Stephanie said and Rocky smiled.
"So, who's the lucky man?" he asked cheerfully.
Stephanie stared ahead in silence before answering, rubbing her hands up and down the coffee cup thoughtfully, "I don't know, she didn't tell us his name but I think it's Seth Rollins," she said and Rocky spat out his coffee in shock.
"Seth Rollins?!" he repeated with surprise. "Is there a woman on this planet who doesn't want to sleep with Roman's best friend?!"
Stephanie raised her hand affirmatively, "Yeah me; I've never seen the appeal in Seth Rollins but then my standards are very high. For a naïve and rebellious young woman like my daughter, I can definitely see the appeal,"
"Have you asked Beth if Seth's the guy she wants to sleep with? I think you better confirm this before it gets into the wrong earshot," Rocky said.
"I don't need to confirm anything, a mother knows. As much as I abhor Seth Rollins, he's a good guy so I'm not worried about him returning her feelings," Stephanie said. "The age gap is way too big and he's married to one of the most beautiful women in the world. My daughter wouldn't stand a chance even if she had a chance,"
"So, what's bothering you? If Seth isn't interested in her, he'll turn down her advances. What have you got to worry about?" Rocky said furrowing his brow and Stephanie stood up slowly, walked towards the window and looked out over the busy Hollywood street.
"It's Beth I'm worried about. Since last night, she's had this dark cloud over her, she's angry all the time and she's been looking at herself in the mirror at lot more," Stephanie said.
"You think she's up to something," Rocky said and Stephanie turned and looked him in the eye.
"I know she's up to something and it's not something good," Stephanie said and she breathed out nervously, "I think Seth might be in trouble. Not only is my daughter changing, she's a McMahon and we don't handle rejection very well,"
"You think she's going down the same road as Bayley?" Rocky asked and Stephanie nodded. Now the Rock was concerned. "That's a dark road, how do we get her off it?"
Stephanie sat back down next to the Rock, "As much as I love fighting against DX, the only way to make sure that my daughter doesn't get in over her head, is to get her back with the God girls. As much as I hate those annoying little b******, my daughter would be safe in their care and that's all that matters to me where Elizabeth Marie Hardy is concerned. I have big plans for my daughter and they don't include Seth "Freakin" Rollins,"
Rocky nodded, "I hear you Stephanie but that might be the problem," he said and Stephanie furrowed her brow at him.
"What do you mean?" Stephanie asked him.
"You're trying to mould your daughter into your image and she's rebelling against you by making this play for Seth. She knows how much you don't like him and you forbade her from having any further contact with him and the God girls. It's like adding fuel to her little fire. Getting her back in with the God girls might be your only move. Have you contacted them?" Rocky said.
"Becky's already talked to her but I don't know how much good that did. I need Becky to reach her Rocky, my daughter worships the ground Becky Lynch walks on. Right now, the Man is the only man I want in my daughter's life," Stephanie said and Rocky hugged her supportively while Bayley and Beth Hardy came back from make-up.
"Oh my God," Rocky said as Beth Hardy came towards them and he stood up for a closer look. "Beth, you're a knockout," he said very impressed with the transformation from McMahon daughter to McMahon goddess.
Bayley put her hand around Beth Hardy proudly, "Not bad for a 19 year-old, eh?" she said and Rocky exchanged looks with Stephanie knowing that Bayley was up to something and as usual, it was nothing good.
The Sandbox
While DX were still in Los Angeles, Seth and the God girls returned to Greenwich, Connecticut to meet with Sasha Banks who was on her way back from Pensacola, Florida.
The Boss had something very important to tell her husband Seth and she wanted all the God girls to be present when she got there. Finn Balor came back from Los Angeles with Becky, Bianca and Seth and Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair were annoyed that once again, they had broken their dates with the two AJs, to deal with Sasha's marital issues.
"This wasn't exactly how I saw my first month as a God girl going," Charlotte said with her arms folded and clearly annoyed.
"Yeah well get used to it," Alexa said. "If Sasha's not happy, we need to understand why not. Happy wife, happy life, right Seth?" Alexa said to Seth with a smile and the Prayer Warrior smiled right back.
"Right," he said cheerfully as Sasha arrived with Roman and Abiyah.
"Abi!" Faith Star said running up to the little one while Sasha removed her white coat.
"Faith Star, take Abiyah to the nursery and stay up there with him please," Sasha said to the DX kid and Faith Star did so with glee.
When the two children were gone, Sasha walked up to Becky Lynch and stared her down like she was the worst person on the planet. "I'm about to lay all your s*** bare b****," she spat at Becky and the Man furrowed her brow while the other God girls surrounded her like angels.
"Back off Boss," Charlotte warned Sasha.
"What is this about?" Alexa asked the Boss and Bianca listened intently.
"Just say what you're gonna say, this is going to be a disaster either way, so you might as-well get it out of your system before Seth heads back to L A for his commercial shooot with Bayley," Bianca said.
Alexa and Charlotte looked at Bianca, "You know what this is about?" Charlotte asked. "Why didn't you just tell us?"
"Because unlike you Charlotte, Bianca respects my position as Seth's wife and she understands the privileges that come with being the number one woman in his household. She respects me, she supports me and she helps me back up when I fall down. Bianca has my back but there's a certain red-head that's been throwing shade at me, since day one," Sasha said and Becky looked at Seth.
"I tink she's talking about me," she said sarcastically and Seth laughed but Bianca shook her head at Seth in disapproval. This was no laughing matter.
"I know you slept with my husband Becky," Sasha said and Becky got emotional.
"It's not what you tink, I was trying to stop someone else from sleeping with him and it got all messed up. Sasha please, you have to believe me, I did not mean to get into bed with your husband," Becky said.
"I know that's what you've been telling everyone, you even convinced Seth that that's what happened but as I ran it back, I went to my room and I picked up my son's baby monitor and I heard the most curious thing. Do you want me to tell Seth and the God Girls what you said the night before you "accidentally" slept with my husband?" Sasha said and Becky's face froze and she looked at Seth who saw guilt flash over her face.
"Becky, what is she talking about? What did you say?" Seth asked her and Sasha gave Seth the baby monitor.
"Play it," Sasha said and Seth held it up to his ear and turned it on while Bianca rubbed her face walking over to Roman who squeezed her shoulder for support.
"Things are about to get bad," Bianca said to Roman who rubbed her back gently.
"Do you want me to call 'Tez?" Roman asked her and Bianca shook her head.
"No, he's happy right now planning the Becky-Finn wedding in New York. I'm on my own on this one, the girls are really gonna need me after tonight," Bianca said and Roman squeezed her hand for support.
It was going to be a long day.
