Still doing his terrible impression of Morrigan taming fire the two boys didn't notice Morrigan walking back over to them. Now wearing a bloused black dress and carrying a little present wrapped in yesterday's newspaper.
"Oh. Jack." Morrigan said tapping Jack on the shoulder.
"Oi!" Shouted Jack as he turned around. Relief flooded his face as he realized it was just Morrigan.
"Happy Birthday, again." Morrigan said as she handed Jack the newspaper wrapped present.
"Thanks." Jack said as he took the present only the place it onto a table overflowing with presents right next to him.
"And who is this?" Morrigan said gesturing to Tommy.
"I'm Tommy. I'm one of Jack's school buddies, I'm sure you've heard lots about me." Tommy said pretending to look embarrassed as if Morrigan was a fan girl ogling over all the amazing things he had done.
"Oh, yes. Lots. You created the Black Mail, nice to finally meet you." Morrigan said reaching out to shake hands with him.
"One of my bests," replied Tommy shaking Morrigan's hand, "now, show me some FIRE!"
"Okay, okay. Just a little," Morrigan began to wave her hands around and then began to sing to the perplexed look of Tommy. "Morning tides child is merry and bright. That should be enough for a short fire display." Then concentrating on her inner fire Morrigan breathed a short burst of fire from her mouth, catching it in her hand. She then sent the fire up into the air and created a small dragon which she motioned around the group before coming back to her hand and disappearing.
"Wow! That was amazing." breathed Tommy.
"Thanks." Morrigan replied shyly.
"Impressive Morrigan." Hawthorne said as he came up to the group.
"Ya, cool." said Candace who had walked up with Hawthorne.
"You must be Hawthorne," Tommy said slapping Hawthorne on the back, "I've heard of you master dragon rider. But you…" he said turning to Candace, "who are you?"
Candace rolled her eyes, "Candace, I'm part of Morrigan's unit. Also, a mesmerist."
"That explains it, I've probably heard about you too but you're a mesmerist, so I forgot." said Tommy.
"Yup." replied Candace.
Just then Jupiter walked up behind the group and gave Jack a surprise slap on the back, "Happy Birthday Jack! How you likin the party?"
"It's great Uncle Jove. Frank really went all out." replied Jack.
"Since when does he not?" replied Hawthorne.
