"Oh damn, she's good!"

"There's no way she can reach one thousand!"

"She's reaching a thousand!"

"No way!"

"She can stop the teapot revolution!"

They were seeing how many punches Violetta could land on the punching bag within one minute, and so far she'd broken Courtney's record by a landslide. Sonic, being the only person fast enough to count how many punches Violetta's blurred fists were landing, was telling everyone how many she was throwing. As the timer beeped at zero, Violetta punched the punching bag so hard it flew off the stand, landing on the floor five feet away.

"How did I do?" She asked, hands on her hips.

"One thousand and fifty four punches, that's a new record!" Sonic grinned, looking impressed. Vi whooped and did a backflip off a tree, landing perfectly.

"Wow, she's amazing..." I heard Sonic mumble, and Courtney growled at hearing this. Her plan on annihilating us all were unravelling at this sudden arrival, since no one was paying attention to her.

"I'm off to dance now, I don't know what those students would do without my help and I need to choreograph a routine for the competition two weeks from now." She announced.

"Let me help! I'm sure I've got some ideas." Sonic immediately offered, desperate to spend time with Violetta, who winked at me, telling me Phase Two was in action. Not only was she going to steal Sonic's attention from Courtney but she was going to teach him a lesson and make him realise what he'd done. The plan she'd made was very solid and it was working, so I was excited to see what else my second cousin can do. I remembered what she told me before we all met up today:

"Look, you have to lead the others somewhere else and occupy them. If one of them comes to where Sonic and I are then everything may be ruined and they'll suspect that you asked me to come and ruin Courtney's life. We can't do that. Just say that if they come then they won't be allowed in the building and there's no point, so lead them to your house, offer to watch a movie and remember, keep them occupied."

I turned to the others and invited them into my house, making popcorn and asking them what movie they want to watch.

Get it done, Vi.

— Violetta's POV —

I was busy rehearsing the duet with Sonic, and it had gone pretty well. It was meant to be a mix of hip hop and contemporary, he got the hip hop side covered with me but I was the one who explained and showed him what contemporary was. We finished with hands on hips on my end and folded arms on Sonic's end. We broke position, laughing, before sitting down on the bleachers that friends and family usually sit on to watch.

"That was great! I never knew we had such chemistry before." Sonic grinned, blushing.

"Well, if two people are good friends they're bound to have chemistry."

"Are you a fan of music, if you're into dancing?" He asked, giving me a sideways look.

"Oh yeah, I'm a big fan. When I get the right equipment I'm planning on releasing a few singles, albums, maybe." I replied, finding the perfect opening.

"How about you sing me one of your songs?" He suggested, nudging me. I took out my guitar, strumming it a little.

"This one is called If It Wasn't For You. I... uh... actually wrote this song about you." I smiled, forcing a blush. His eyes lit up, getting ready.

"You know I can lean on you

No matter what happens

I'll always be there for you too.

The black to my white

We complete each other

Nothing would feel right

If it wasn't for you

I would be lost on the map if it wasn't for you

Drowning in sadness if it wasn't for you

Alone forever if it wasn't for you

What I'm trying to say is

I'd be nothing if it wasn't for you..." As I carried on he looked so happy. I knew that if I carried on with the plan he'd be devastated, but then again, it's what he did to Amy. Besides, I was trained to be ruthless, so why not now? When I finished, he was grinning so wide it sent waves of warmth down my body.

"That was... brilliant, Vi." He set my guitar aside and threw his arms round me, which I returned. I'd never had many hugs before, and the way he was squeezing me sent butterflies through my stomach.

"It's no problem, big guy. You want to return to the others?" I detached him and jerked my thumb in the direction of Amy's hut.

"Yeah, just one thing." He leaned forward, and just as I thought he was about to kiss me on the lips he pecked my cheek instead, making me deflate in relief. Yes, I was to enchant him but I'd he'd really fallen for me Amy wouldn't forgive me. That's why I have to enact part two of Phase Two immediately. Bring in Shadow.

I'd included Shadow in the plan because he owed me a favour. I saved his life so he said he owed me one, and I'm pulling that card now. So here he was, sitting at a bench with me, waiting for Sonic to come by so we could enact part two of Phase Two.

"Remind me why it's me you have to do this for?" He groaned, frowning.

"Look, you're the only one Sonic would feel jealous of. You're his rival, you match him in everything, do I have to explain this for the fiftieth time in three hours?" I snapped back.

"You're doing this to torture faker and get him to realise what he's done to Rose, right?" He questioned.

"Now you get it." I chuckled.

"He's coming, just play along." He started laughing as I took out my guitar.

"Shadow, I wrote this song for you."

— Sonic's POV —

I was innocently going to get a Meh Burger when I saw Violetta laughing and talking with Shadow. Wait, SHADOW?! I pretended to enjoy the day while I eavesdropped on their conversation.

"Shadow, I wrote this song for you." Violetta started while taking out her guitar.

"I'm excited to hear it." He replied, tucking a lock of hair behind Violetta's ear. How dare he-

"You know I can lean on you

No matter what happens

I'll always be there for you too..."

I recognised those lyrics. It was the song Violetta wrote... for me! She sung that to me! And she's singing it to Shadow claiming she wrote it for him! That emo, wretched, stealing HEDGEHOG!

After the song was over, I stormed up to Violetta, thinking that steam was emitting from my ears.

"You seem angry." She said bluntly.

"Why wouldn't I be? You sang my song to Shadow?! Why the hell wouldn't I be angry?!" I fumed. She maintained a calm expression up until now, and now it was a little angry.

"Oh really? Think about it, Sonic. It's really a perfectly normal thing to do, since you sang a birthday song that you wrote for Amy to Courtney. You performed it for Amy and as soon as Courtney comes you toss all of your doubts aside and assume it's a perfectly fine thing to break another's heart. Don't take it personally, this recently came to my attention and I decided I'd do something about it. Ta ta!" Violetta scolded before she left, her eyes filled with a raging forest fire. She's right. I pushed Amy aside with no thought of how she felt if she found out. Violeta taught me a proper lesson, and I find that hot. Before I descend into fantasies of Violetta I need to do something. Plucking a rose from a bush, I picked off the thorns as I went to Amy's house. Raising my fist, I hesitated a bit as my knuckles gently brushed the birch wood, but I gently knocked on it, the door swinging open to reveal Amy, Violetta sitting on the sofa with a relaxed expression.

"Sonic! What brings you here?" She asked politely, and Violetta shot me a look as to say 'say it or I'll break your back'.

"I wanted to... apologise." I started, finding it hard to get out the word apologise. Violetta motioned for me to carry on. "I messed up by singing your birthday song to Courtney, and I realised that now. I should've been more mindful of how you'd feel. So, as a sorry gift, I came to give you this." I held out the rose, to which Amy gave a broad smile.

"It's beautiful, Sonic! I accept your apology." She gave me a hug, so I returned it, Violetta mouthing 'good job' and winking, causing my knees to go weak. Detaching myself, I smiled warmly.

"Knuckles is expecting me for our video game sesh today. I'll catch you later." I excused, so I dashed off.

— Violetta's POV —

"So, how did Phase Two work?" I asked, spreading my arms. Amy swivelled round, deep in thought.

"I want you to take me to Phase Four." She ordered.

"Slow down there, we're still meant to go through Phase Three and have me help with Knuckles moving into a house instead of Sonic asking me to renovate his house!" I stalled.

"No, if we want this to work we need to go to Phase Four!"

"So what you're forcing me to do is change your entire clothes, teach you to be stronger in fighting and overall change yourself completely?! Do you know how personality damaging that could be?! Phase Four was for if the other phases didn't work, not to skip to it if needed!" I shrieked, standing up.

"Let me rephrase this. Not only do we enact Phase Four, teach me to be like you!"

"No, absolutely not!"

"It's the only way Sonic will really come to his senses. He likes people like you, it's his girl type! I want to know how to be like you or he won't notice me in a million years! Please?" Amy did puppy dog eyes in an attempt to get me to say yes.

"You want me to teach you to be exactly like me?" I repeated in disbelief.

"Yes, especially the dancing and fighting! I want to know how you do it so well!" Amy pleaded.

"Fine." I sighed, and she squealed.

"Thank you, thank you!"

"This isn't going to end well..."
