The next day Morrigan woke up around noon. After she ate the breakfast Martha had left for her, she headed down to the Smoking Parlor. When she walked in the Parlor, she spotted Jack sitting in the corner on a couch.

As Jack spotted Morrigan he called out to her, "Oh! Hi, Morrigan."

Morrigan walked over to Jack feeling a little embarrassed about what had happened the night before, but Jack didn't seem to remember and if he did, he was doing an excellent job at hiding it.

"Hi." Morrigan responded as she sat down beside Jack on the couch.

"Um…," Jack fumbled, "did anything weird happen last night?"

"You mean, besides you and your buddies getting drunk at only eighteen," Morrigan joked, "not much." That was a lie.

Lifting his eye patch Jack looked at Morrigan, a suspicious look beginning to appear on his face, "Are you sure?"

"Um…" This is exactly what she had feared, Morrigan felt a wave of embarrassment as she respond rather stupidly with another lie, she knew would never pass, "Ya. I'm sure."

"You sure don't look like it." Jack said slapping his eye patch back on.

"Fine," Morrigan buckled, she knew that lie was terrible, "you want to know what happened?"

"Yes. I do!" exclaimed Jack.

"You kissed me, alright. You kissed…" Morrigan trailed off for a moment before coming back with a defensive tone, "but you were drunk, and you probably didn't mean it."

Jack's jaw dropped. They sat there for what felt like an eternity but was only a few seconds before Jack spoke and broke the silence. Half to himself he murmured, "I-I did it. I finally did it."

"What do you mean 'I finally did it'?" Morrigan shouted softly jumping from the couch.

"Morrigan," Jack said looking up at Morrigan, "when I first met you, I thought I hated you."

"No kidding." said Morrigan rolling her eyes.

"But then I warmed up to you." Jack said, passion swelling into his eyes.

"Ya. So did I." Morrigan said a small smile finding its way onto her face.

"At first my feelings were just that of friendship, but then they changed to…" Jack trailed off dropping his gaze from Morrigan's.

"Love." Morrigan finished for him her eyes widening.

"Yes. Love." Jack said in a low voice. Finding the courage to lift his head up once again to look Morrigan in the eye.

Then anger flashed across Morrigan's face, "Where you going to tell me? You know, as your non-drunk self!" she exclaimed.

"I-I wanted to make sure you felt the same way before I told you." Jack said looking embarrassed.

"By using your knack to 'look into me' to find the answer?" Morrigan fumed crossing her arms and looking away from Jack. Jack was her friend, but she was intitled to her own personal space, even if her friend was a Witness.

"Yes," Jack respond sounding rather guilty, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't use my ability as a Witness to snoop. Well without snooping anymore…there is only one question left. Do you like me back Morrigan?"

Morrigan froze. Shock filled her, did she like Jack as more than a friend? In the end still looking way she said in a rather flat tone, "I don't know Jack."

"Ok," Jack responded sounding a little disappointed before continuing, "Think about it. I won't snoop. When you do figure it out, I'll be here, waiting."

Morrigan turned to leave but before she left the room, she turned her head to look back at Jack. "Thanks." she said before walking out of the Parlor.
