Barry's eyes followed Riddler as he walked...No...pranced his way over to the lever that could unknowingly end the Flash's life.
"Now, I've got your full attention. Let's play this game! When is the time of a clock like the whistle of a train?"
Barry's mind was blink and he felt a spark of fear shoot up his spine. "Uhh."
Riddler tsked, wiggling his finger tauntingly. "Na na na. Time's up. I don't like when people don't immediately have the answer. So," He pulled the lever and the board under Barry's feet went down slightly, causing Barry to stand on his tiptoes to be able to breathe comfortably.
"Riddle me this:I have two hands, but I can not scratch myself. What am I?"
Barry instantly knew the answer, though if asked later how he knew it he wouldn't have an answer. Adrenaline is a great Motivator. "A clock!"
Riddler looked disgruntled, "Okay, smart guy. Try to solve this one."
"Stop this! Riddler!"
At the deep voice, Barry's body relaxed, somewhat, it was hard to relax in his current predicament. The Justice League stood just behind the shield around the park.
"Riddle me this:I have billions of eyes, yet I live in darkness. I have millions of ears, yet only four lobes. I have no muscle, yet I rule two hemispheres. What am I?"
The bat didn't hesitate, "The Human Brain."
"Come on, Spooky! Let's get this over with already!"
The bat grunted at the Lantern and took out a batarang. At the same time, the Riddler realized that his charade was up. But he had never been one that went down without a fight. He pulled the lever all the way up, causing the platform under Barry to completely fall out.
Barry jerked, desperately trying to take in a breath. But with his arms still tied behind his back, he was helpless. Barry heard his name being yelled and feet pounding in his direction, before everything went dark.
