"You're kidding"

"Aoko, there's no benefit from lying."

"Are you finally accepting my proposal?"

"Of course! Who else would I talk about but you?"

"You were talking about Kaito Kid, weren't you?" A soft sob erupted, " I always knew you were going to leave me." He fell into his arms and wept.

"Of course not Darling, my heart is forever yours. How could you think like that?" Another grief-stricken cry ring out as I fell on top of him.

"Are you sure you don't want to try out for Theater?"

"I was thinking about it. Actually, I get my flair for the dramatics from my mother."I paused," I suppose my father is a bit more mellow." Nudging Kaito up from his sorrow," you wanted to know what we were talking about?"

His back flicked straight, leaned forward, and he propped his head up.

"I was telling Aoko about my free Uber."

"Your Uber?"

"Yeah. During the Kaito Kid heist this morning, I was offered an Uber." A questioning eyebrow rose." Stop that, you look ridiculous. But no," my voice dropped considerably before I continued. " Kaito Kid promised me a ride home from his heists."

"Oh. Why didn't you get a ride with your brother?"

"Scenic route."

"And you're sure he won't try anything?"

"He's cute."

"You didn't answer my question."

"Don't be like that. You're doing the disappointment face, it very unnerving." An even more crestfallen look appeared. "Ugh, you're lucky you're cute. He has a parachute so I can knock him out and use that."

"You know where he keeps his parachutes?"

"Who am I?"

"Kudo Takara. Kudo..."

"Yup!...Sooo?"

"So?"

"How was your day?" A gleeful smile sprung out as I giggled. "Betcha can't top mine!"

"Oh, well, so as you know I eat over at Aoko's"

"No. No, I did not. Damn you I want her cooking."

"Ha, very funny, so she's bringing out breakfast and it's fish! Fish! Who woulda believed it, as breakfast! I don't even consider it something to look at much less like the most important meal of the day!" He was more than grieved he was devastated. Kaito gestured like a dramatic fool at his injustice.

"Don't be a little bitch, Kaito"

"I like salmon!"

"Okay, we're divorced now." He stood up and announced, " Everybody, your favorite person is nowwww single~, because somebody likes fish, and it's not okay."

I turned to Aoko, " When they ask you how you are and you have to say you're fine but you're not really fine." Cue gut-wrenching laughter.

"What?! No this is my moment. I won't hesitate bitch!" Kaito's face was devoid of any emotion.

"Sweetheart. My love. Kaito, will you marry me?"

"Apology accepted."

"Mm."

I slumped against the desk," Is it lunch yet?"

"For the last time, n.o."

"Aoko~"

"I don't have anything for you to snack on."

"Kaito" I turned, still melting into the desk, towards my ''husband''.

"Here." A blue blob and floral scent waved in front of my face.

"A rose is not food" I burrowed my face into the desk and ''sobbed''

"It is for herbivores."

"And here I thought you loved me." Suddenly I was whisked off my desk and into warmth."This is good."

Aoko and Kaito laughed. I snuggled further into his arms. "Y'know what sounds like a fantastic idea right now?"

Aoko played along," What?"

"Death." A laugh and an increasingly worried face erupted," What, I'm joking, a nap."

"Better, if you're going to die it better be in my arms."

"You got it, boss."A comfortable silence drifted until "But seriously thou when's lunch?" Kaito and Aoko groaned, "It was a legitimate question, thou! Kaito don't look awa-"I was smothered," Do-n't sm-ot-her me-! Kaito!"

"Shush, the hunger will be gone soon."

"Really!" My face was finally free.

"You have another hour." Now it was my turn to groan and I smothered myself into Kaito's arms.

"I need the sweet release of death."

"I need you to get off now." A look of bewilderment and hurt stained her face. " Class." She relaxed and slipped into her seat.
