A/N I am computer ignorant so if the computer problems seems simple i am sorry but i needed a reason to get Walter to Colombia.

Paige was sitting behind her desk at Centipede Partners new office , working on a proposal for a job they were due to bid on in 2 days time .Lifting her head she glanced towards Sylvester's desk and saw he was just sitting there clutching a letter tightly in his hand and staring straight ahead with a dead look in his eyes .She pushed her chair back with enough force to knock it into the wall . She almost ran across the office towards Sly's desk. "What on earth is the matter Sly ?" She asked with a choke in her voice . Without saying a word he reached out and gave Paige the letter he was holding , she gently removed from his hand at the same time shouting to Toby to come over to Sly's desk. "What's up ?" asked Toby as he approached Sly's desk . "He appears to be in shock ." replied Paige ."What is in the letter ?" "I have no idea i have only just taken it from him ,maybe it is the cause of the shock ,read it and see what you think Toby ." replied Paige . Toby took the letter from Paige smoothed it out and began to read it out load .

Dear Mr Dodd .

We regret to inform you that during the mass production of

of your water purifier a disturbing problem was found . In view of this we

have no alterative but to cancel the full order until further notice.

"Sly ,Sly, hey buddy come on it's not the end of the world " said Toby . "He does not seem to be able to speak or move." said Paige . "What's going on , what's all the noise ?" Shouted Happy who was coming from the back of the building were her workshop was located . "It's Sly he seems catatonic ." said Paige "Come on Fungus this is your area of expertise ,can't you do something for him ? Sly speak to me or shake your head before i have to hit you with a wrench." Happy spoke with a small laugh in her voice.

"Move over let me see if i can figure what to do ." Said Toby as he walked around Sly's desk and sat on the edge . He checked Sly's pulse then checked his eyes ,during all of this Sly did not move a muscle or make a sound " He as completly shut down obviously he is in deep shock from the letter . "" "What letter ? " asked Happy "He received a letter from the U.S. Navy cancelling the order for the water purifier due to a problem in the manufacturing process ." Explained Paige . "I think we should get him up to Ceders Emergency room for them to check him out" stated Toby .

Paige , Toby and Happy sat on the same chairs they had sat on many times waiting for doctors to tell them how Walter was after the many times he had been there , but this time it was waiting for news on Silvester .After about a hour a doctor appeared . "The Dodd family " All three stood up ."How is he ?" asked Paige . "Hi i am Doctor Sarah Bussil i have examined Mr. Dodd and in my opinion he as had a major mental breakdown . To be honest i do not at this stage know how to break down the wall he has formed around his mind . Could you give me any information that may help me to understand what as happened to him ." "I am Doctor Toby Curtis a Harvard trained phycologist and minor medically trained. He received a letter this morning that seems to have had that effect on him .He is a germaphobe , highly strung ,O.C.D. and many other various complaints ." "Oh a lot to work on and with, could you maybe tell me what the letter was about ,so i can see if it does have any bearings on his condition." asked the doctor . Paige handed her the letter, after reading it the doctor asked "Why do you think this would cause such a reaction?" Paige stood there and suddenly sat down and started to explain the situation to the doctor ."We recently broke away from our former employer and friend over an argument which at the moment is unimportant . We set up our own company in competition , but our capital is not that good ,the revenue from that order to the U.S. Navy was going to be used to make up the capital of the company , without it we will struggle to survive so no doubt Sly feels he will be to blame if the company fails." "Well something like that could be the cause especially with all his other problems ." the doctor replied . "We will start some drug treatment but it could be some time before we see any improvement . I suggest you all go home and check in tomorrow ."

The next day Paige called a meeting at Centipede Partners office . "Look it could be a problem if Sly is indisposed any length time ,the two jobs we have won are both coding jobs which his speciality and the job we are bidding for next is a coding job , none of us are capable of doing these jobs ." "Can you not ask Ralph to help out ?" asked Toby "Not a chance he blames us but me in particular for the breakup of Scorpion and not allowing him to contact Walter and he has refused to do anything to help Centipede Parsnips as he calls us ." " Can't you make him do some work for us ." asked Happy "I could but i know Ralph he would put a bug in any coding he did which would just make the company look even worse "We need to speak to the doctor to see if she can give us any idea how long the treatment may take and then make a decision ." said Happy . "That's a plan but i think i will cancel our appointment for tomorrow it would be a waste of time bidding for the job, when we don't have a coder for the job." replied Paige. The news from the hospital was worse than they were expecting . The doctor explaining it could be up to two months before there could be any improvement in his condition .

The three of them decided to go home and re group next morning at the office. Next day at the office they all met and Paige produced a spread sheet that should show how the business was doing . Paige started speaking . "The rent is paid up for three months which takes up to the end of of our lease , we still have to pay the utilities but as we cannot complete the two jobs we won ,we will have to cancel them so we will not be receiving any income . The capital we have will pay our salaries for a few weeks and the utilities that we owe up to now .The only way out of this is to close Centipede Partners down and take any losses ourselves ." "Is there not another way ." asked Happy . "None that i can see , i think i know how Walter felt that night now ." said Paige sadly . "I can see why 197 ran Scorpion the way he did now , it is not so simple ," Admitted Toby . "Will you be able to sort out all the paperwork Paige i don't think i can , my heart would not be in it ." said Happy as tears slid down her cheeks . " I can do that but i will take it home and work from there .I don't think i can stay here much longer , help me collect all the paperwork ,then we can lock up for the last time ,and then lets visit Sly in the hospital ."

PRESENT DAY

Around 23 .00 hours Cabe decided he would go and find Walter ,after getting into his S.U.V. he drove to the beach were he expected to find the S.U.V. in a space on the carpark , getting out of the S.U.V. he walked towards the beach .After a few moments he spotted Walter sitting on the beach and made is way towards him . "Hey Walter you o.k." Walter still lost in thought did not seem to hear him call out , so Cabe slowly approached him and tapped him lightly on the shoulder . "What !" Walter grumpily asked without even turning his head . "Steady Walt i am just wanting to check on you ,it 's been some time since you left Homeland ." "I have been sitting here thinking about what as happened over the last eight weeks and i think i have come to a conclusion. Once this job is over i am cancelling my contract with Homeland and moving back to Ireland ." "Wait are you thinking straight ." Replied Cabe in an abrupt manner . "I only state facts ,and apart from you and Allie what else is left for me in America . The love of my life as gone, the boy i considered a son as not contacted me in eight weeks ,and the three people i counted as friends just deserted me at the same time . My home and all my possession's are gone why would i bother starting all over again in America so i might as well start over again in Ireland and maybe even reconnect with my parents ." Replied Walter looking as if the whole weight of the world was on his shoulders . "Well for now lets go back to my house and get some sleep, then tomorrow we should go get you some new clothes ,because kid sweats and joggers just do not suit you , are you ready now ?" Said Cabe with a laugh in his voice . Walter stood up and began walking towards the S.U.V.

Next day after a restless night both Walter and Cabe were a little grumpy ,however after a light breakfast of toast and about four cups of coffee each ,they decided to go shopping to get Walter some replacement clothes . After a couple of hours Walter decided he had enough clothes so they returned back to Cabes house . "You know we still have to go back to Homeland to speak to Katherine about that C.I.A. job ." stated Cabe . "I know but could we leave it until tomorrow i feel like i need to rest before talking to Katherine again. " replied Walter. "O.K. i can agree with that , maybe we could get takeout for tonight so we don't have to cook ." said Cabe . "I can deal with that ." replied Walter.

They arrived at Homeland around 10 .00 hours the next day and made their way to Katherine's office were they were met by Lucy Katherine's secretary ."Morning Cabe ,Walter , she is waiting for you in the office with another gentleman who did not give his name . " She spoke on the intercom to Katherine to let her know they were there ,then told them to go in . " Morning Walter , Cabe , let me introduce you to Agent Sam Spade with the C.I.A." After introductions were over Agent Spade spoke. " We are having real problems in our computer relays between the U.S. and our base in Colombia and we are hoping with your computer knowledge you will be able to solve the problem for us ." "Well that is a little vague ," said Walter in the manner he had used before he had met Paige , he realized almost immediately what he had said and heard Paige's voice in his ear telling him so . Why can't i get over her he thought to himself ,even as he spoke again to the agent . "I am so sorry that must have sounded rude ,what i meant to say was , could you maybe explain in a little more detail of exactly what the problems you are having ." "Well the problems began just over a week ago it appeared that messages were being interfered with words being jumbled , numbers were being included instead of letters .Complete messages were not being received at Headquarters , also a lot of messages were arriving up to 24 hours after they were sent ." replied the Agent . "Well if Homeland will give me use of one of their computer's i can try and see if i can pick up anything from this end ." Turning to Katherine he asked if any computers were free . " I am sure we can sort something satisfactory for you Walter ." Katherine picked up her desk phone and spoke for a few minutes to one of the technical staff . "O.K. Walter i will get Cabe to take you down to the Tech department were they will give you access to a computer." Cabe led Walter and Agent Spade down to the Tech department ,were they were met by the Chief Technical Manager.

After working on a computer for three hours ,Walter declared "Well i can confirm the problem is certainly not at the receiving end .It could be some sort of a Trojan Horse programme that as been launched on the machines sending the messages out so it looks like we are going to be travelling to Colombia ." " There will be an aircraft ready at Palmdale Airport at 09.00 hours tomorrow ,together with full details of were the computers in Colombia are together with contact details .
