Cabe arrived back in L.A. about eight hours later the jet having met a strong headwind on it's return journey. As promised a car was waiting for Cabe once he cleared customs and it took him straight to Homeland headquarters. Once there he made his way to Katherines office ,the secretary told him to go straight in . "How are you Cabe ?" asked Katherine with both compassion and sadness in her voice .
"Well i will feel a lot better once i can sort something out ." "The Hospital called agent Ricker died on the operating table , so we are not going to get any more information fro him . I have spoken to Agent Spade and he was shocked to find out it was all a ploy to kidnap Walter . he is in contacts with agents in the area to see if they have any sources who may know of this gang . He is then arranging for agents to meet you when you go back to provide what ever help you need ." "Thank you Katherine it is much appreciated but i would be happier with my own team from here . I do not know if i can trust the local agents in view of the Ricker situation .For this i need to sort out help both physical and mental . Can i contact Rusty and the team for the physical and Centipede for the mental?" Requested Cabe . " Well certainly call Rusty and his crew ,but i am not sure Centipede would want to help after the problems caused by that acrimonious breakup ." Said Katherine . " I will call Paige to see what she thinks and arrange to meet up with her ." "O.K. i will let you get on with it ,while i arrange transport to get you back to Colombia ." Cabe turned to leave the office ,then stopped and turned to Katherine " Thank you katherine ." "Do not worry Cabe we will do everything that is in our power to rescue Walter safe and well ."
After leaving her office ,Cabe found an empty office and sat down and took his phone out and opens it to contacts list .The first call was to Rusty ,who answered after just one ring "Hi Cabe how are you ,you old devil ." " In trouble ," Answered Cabe who then went on to tell him in as much detail what went on in Colombia ,once he had finished . All Rusty asked was "When ." "I need to get in touch with his old team to see if they can be of any help so i am not sure yet . That is if they agree to help out ." "Well good luck i will get the team on standby to be ready to leave at a moments notice . By the way what about weapons i doubt we will be allowed through customs with any ." Queried Rusty . " I will Get Katherine working on the problem .she is in contact with the local C.I.A. agents ,speak to you soon . " Cabe immediately phoned Katherine to see if she could arrange weapons in Colombia ,saying she would contact Rusty to find out what would be required . The next call was one he did not want to make ,he found the contact for Paige and pressed dial. "Hello Cabe is there a problem ?" Asked Paige with worry in her voice . "I need to speak to you face to face urgently ,were can we meet and when ." Gruffly replied Cabe . " I am at home you can come right over .Why the rush is Walter alright ?" Paige answered with a lot of fear in her voice . "I will see you in about an hour ." replied Cabe a little sharply as he was in no mood to prolong the telephone conversation .
Sixty minutes later Cabe pulled up in front of Paige's condo ,as he opened his car door and began to climb out .Paige was already waiting for him with the door held wide open ,tears were running down her cheeks and her face pensive with worry . As Cabe reached the door Paige stepped to one side to allow him to enter . "What is going on Cabe ." "Lets sit down and i need you to remain calm ,so i can tell what as happened as quickly as possible ." Replied Cabe .They both went into the living room ,Paige went to the sofa and sat down pulling her legs up under her and grabbed a cushion to hold in front of her . Cabe sat on the recliner at the side of the sofa . He began explaining to Paige all that happened on the trip to Colombia . The more he explained the sadder Paige became ,eventually she could not hold back her tears any longer so she just let them run down her cheeks .Paige just stared straight ahead her mind unable to take in what she had just been told. "Paige ,Paige ." Cabe raised his voice in an attempt to bring Paige out of her shock . "Sorry Cabe i just cannot believe what you have just told me , but what can i do ?" "Well i thought Centipede Partners could use some of their mental powers to try and work some sort of plan out , i have Rusty Simone and Nick on board to provide the fire power and the muscle ." Replied Cabe . " But Centipede Partners does not exist anymore ." Said Paige sadly . "What do you mean ! You began the company to go up against Walter causing more pain than the night you all walked out on him ,and now within a few weeks you have dissolved the company , surprised but mainly upset that you caused so much pain to Walter and then dissolve the company ." Said a very angry Cabe . "It was not easy ,Sly had a complete mental breakdown . we had to hospitalize him in Ceders hospital ,were he still is . As both jobs we were successful in winning were coding jobs and also the one we were due to bid on the next day . No one but Sly were capable of doing the work , so we had no alternative but to close the doors ." "What caused the breakdown ." Asked Cabe . "News that his water filter was faulty ,so the U.S. Navy , cancelled the order .The money from the sales was going to be used as capital for C.P." "What about Happy and Toby ,how are they doing ?" Cabe queried . "They are both working at Happy's dad's garage trying to get it up and running for when he gets out of jail ." All this being said while tears were still streaming down Paige's cheeks . "Could you get them to meet up here ,maybe together we can work a little Scorpion magic between us ." Asked Cabe ,by this time his anger had abated and he was looking with sad eyes at Paige . " Let me give them a ring ." reaching for her phone and opening her contact list she pressed the button ." Hi Happy any chance you could get to the condo right away ,O.K. thank you Happy ." Switching her phone off she turned to Cabe ." They should be here in about thirty minutes. "While they were waiting Cabe filled Paige in all about what had happened to the garage and that Florence had been killed . Even before he was halfway through telling Paige had began sobbing again ,when she realized just how much she had missed the garage and all the happy memoires she had of her time shared with Walter .
