Rumble in the jungle Chapter 7 making a plan
Twenty minutes later Happy pulled up in front of Paige's condo and parked along side Cabe's S.U.V.. Happy and Toby both walked up to Paige's front door . Opening the door Paige exclaimed . "That was quick ,you fly here ?" "No Happy was driving . " Joked Toby as Happy slapped the back of his head . All three returned to the seating area , Happy saw Cabe and ran straight over to him and hugged him tightly, after shaking Toby's hand they all took a seat and over the next thirty minutes Cabe reviewed what had happened over the past four days for the benefit of Happy and Toby . Once Cabe had finished they all sat in silence for about ten minutes mulling over all the information that Cabe had given them . The silence was broken by Paige who suddenly stood up declaring " I am going to make some coffee ." Toby surprised by her sudden movement realized were he was and spoke to no in particular "Were can we work from as a base ,Centipede Partners as no were to go and you said the garage was completly destroyed ." "Well i think Katherine could provide some office space at Homeland , and some computers for you to work with . Paige i know you do not like Ralph involved to much but do you think he may be able to help with some of the computer work ?" Asked Cabe . "I can ask him .BUT THERE IS NO WAY WILL HE BE ALLOWED TO GET INVOLVED IN COLOMBIA ." Replied Paige with some venom in her voice . "That is completly understood .Replied Cabe . Paige went back into the kitchen to fetch the coffee and poured a cup for everyone . "When is Ralph due back from school ? Do you want me to go and pick him up?" Asked Cabe . "Well he is not due out for another couple of hours , but i could phone the school to get them to release him now if you could fetch him Cabe ."
Cabe returned about thirty minutes later ,Ralph ran straight to his mom and gave her a hug ."What is going on mom Cabe would not tell me anything ?" Paige sat him down and explained to him what had happened and what they needed his help with . " Cabe could you show me on a map the area that Walter was taken from ?" Asked Ralph . "I am pretty sure i could find it but what good would that do? "Queried Cabe "We should be able to hack into a satellite to check if we can see any form of buildings somewhere in the area " . Stated Ralph . " Well i suggest we all make our way over to Homeland ,i will ring Katherine and tell her what we require ,i will also contact Rusty and his team to meet up there as well . But first i am going to phone Allie ,as i have not spoken to her in three days . I will just give her the bare explanation of what is going on and see if she could look after Ralph, once we leave ." Said Cabe . " You are not going to leave me behind !" Exclaimed Ralph . "OH YES WE ARE YOUNG MAN AND NO ARGUMENT ." Said Paige with a stern edge to her voice . "But mom! "Ralph shouted and at the same time wrapping his arms tightly around his chest and glaring at his mom . "It is much to dangerous ,we would constantly having to keep an eye on you ,instead of concentrating on rescuing Walter . " Explained Cabe while kneeling so he could look Ralph in the eye Begrudgingly he finally agreed with Cabe but had to have the last word by saying "Well will you at least let me have a com so i can keep track of you ." "We will see Ralph ,bur right now we require your help with the satellite ." said Paige her worry for Walter now beginning to overwhelm her ,and her temper getting shorter by the minute .
Cabe made all his phone calls away from the others , Coming back to the seating area he explained . "Katherine was going to sort out the office and equipment ,Rusty and company would meet them at Homeland . Allie would be pleased to look after Ralph ,so he needed to pack a bag and his school things ."
It was about an hour later when they all left Paige's apartment . Cabe took Paige and Ralph , Happy and Toby followed in her truck . On arriving at Homeland Cabe and the ex Scorpion members made their way to Katherines office . Katherine was waiting for them and immediately took them down a couple of corridors and showed them the office she had allocated them . When they arrived they were surprised to see three people already there .Cabe made the introductions . "Rusty,Simone ,Nick these are Paige , Happy ,Toby and Ralph Paige's son ." Greetings were exchanged and the plan as far as it was at the moment was explained to the to the three new members of the group . "Well what do you want to do first ?" Asked Rusty in a gruff but friendly voice ." "First we need a map of Colombia so we can see the general area Walter was taken from ." Answered Cabe "I have put one over on the far desk ." Said Katherine pointing to the desk in the far left corner . Cabe , Rusty and Ralph went over to the desk and opened up the map .All the others were just chatting trying to get to know each other a little better. Ralph was the first to ask Cabe the general area Walter had been taken from . After studying the map for a few moments Cabe circled the approximate area on the map . Immediately Ralph began calculating the Latitude and Longitude . "Why do you need that ?" Rusty asked "So i can hack into a satellite and move it over the area to get a better idea of the terrain and see if any buildings can be spotted amongst the trees ." Rusty looked at Cabe with an opened mouth expression . Cabe just gave him a smug look and simply said . "Brightest one in the room ." "It would be a lot easier if i could have tapped into the . in the garage but with it being destroyed i will have to use a different way to hack into a satalite." grumeled Ralph "Well lets get you set up on a computer over here ." Suggested Toby .
Ralph immediately began typing on the computer , in couple of minutes he called Cabe over . "I'm in , now to reposition it over the area we are looking for ," "It's not one of ours is it Ralph ? Not while we are in Homeland ." " No it's a Chinese one , right i have it showing the area you pointed out ." Replied Ralph , he then began to slowly move the camera around the to search ,by this time Rusty had joined Cabe ,both concentrating on the screen , both trying to spot some sort of clue . "There is what appears to be the area were we parked the S.U.V." Remarked Cabe . After a short time Rusty pointed at the screen and asked Ralph if he could get a better view of a certain area , Ralph manipulated the camera zoom in on the area . " Look does that not look like buildings hidden in the trees ?" Noted Rusty . Ralph manipulated the camera a little more and slowly the image on the screen began to look more like what could be buildings . "Do you think that could be the drug dealers headquarters ." Asked Cabe . Ralph re-entered some more code into the camera and immediately showed heat signatures of various human forms and other areas of heat . "Well it is certainly occupied , and there are various other heat sources ," Explained Ralph . "How far from the parking area we parked at ,is it ?" Queered Cabe . " I would calculate it to be about two miles away ." said Ralph "O.K. So that is were we need to head to ." Cabe almost demanded of every one who was there.
A few hours later they were all back at Palmdale airport ,after packing what they thought they may need for the trip .They had also dropped of a disgruntled Ralph at Allie's who would be looking after him while they were away. They all settled back into the plush leather seats as the plane took off on its journey .
