"Do you see that?" He says as a blinding light catches his eyes, so bright that he just lets go.
LeMec regains his consciousness with all the divine knowledge and is so keen on meting his revenge on not only Lucifer but the rest of his family. So he calls back Trixie and knocks her unconscious.
Unbeknownst to her parents, Rory snaps a photo of them from afar, an utter bliss she would not dare shatter because of the incoming heartbreak they'd have to face.
She should have genuinely listened to her mom all those years ago about how good a person her father is. She truly wants to remember him this way.
The clock strikes twelve, and the panic room opens automatically, signalling a new day. Or what they hope it would be. They were about to celebrate when he saw the caller ID.
"It's Trixie. I wonder why she's calling this late," He thinks, whereas Chloe wonders why her daughter would call Lucifer first.
She sees Lucifer's eyes widen and turn crimson, almost on the verge of crushing his phone in anger or irritation, or both.
"What is it?"
"That's not Trixie; that was LeMec."
He sees the panic in her eyes this time. This can't be happening. Not again.
"Where is she?"
"At 10th and Swanson."
"We both know you won't come out of this. I'll go get her. She's my daughter!"
"You know I love that urchin as well, and you're carrying our child. You can't go."
"This child will be safe. You and I know that."
"Do we? How do we know if the future is set in stone?"
"Please, Lucifer. Partners til the end, right?"
"Partners til the end."
They aren't going to inform Rory, but she appears in the penthouse just before Lucifer and Chloe leave and asks where they are going.
"LeMec has Trixie,"
"Who even is LeMec?"
"He's the one who killed Dan," Chloe answers hurriedly, not wanting to waste any more time.
"Well, he definitely messed with the wrong family. So, where to?"
Chloe and Lucifer exchange looks, and the latter replies, "10th and Swanson,"
"10th...oh."
"Just stay here, Rory."
"Hell no. This is T we're talking about."
"Very well,"
"I thought you were my Dad's friend? Why are you doing this?"
"No, I am not your Dad's friend. He just took over my body for a second, that's why… ehh, never mind. What I want is for Lucifer Morningstar to suffer like me."
"Lucifer is going to kick your butt."
"Oh, will he now?"
"No doubt. And in case you escape after he comes for me, Maze will hunt you down. You're in for a world of pain, mister."
"I am already in pain! Constant pain,"
"That's probably your fault, too. But if you let me go right now, then maybe there's hope for you."
"Ha-ha, very funny you little imp. I will kill Lucifer Morningstar right in front of you, and then I'll be free."
"I doubt it."
"How is it that you're still talking? Aren't you afraid of me?"
"Nah. I got kidnapped once, and that guy who nabbed me got what he deserved. Or so I'm told," Trixie sighs, looking disinterested. In truth, she's a little afraid, but Maze taught her to be indifferent when caught in such a predicament. They'll come to get her. She knows it.
Criminals love warehouses; Lucifer supposes because that's where they find themselves. Chloe stalks the first dude they find at the entrance and points a gun at their head, only to be caught off guard when she gets distracted momentarily.
But Lucifer doesn't let the man lay a hand on Chloe as he grabs the man's wrist and breaks it. They don't know how many there are, but the faster they take them down, the sooner they could all go home and forget about this nightmare.
The Devil is still nervous about how this night will unfold, or if he gets past today, but right now, all he cares about is getting the urchin back and then punish LeMec some more (because apparently, he has not had enough).
Lucifer tells Rory to circle around when they finally make it to the one-room where Trixie is held hostage. The Frenchman has his gun pointed to Trixie's head and instructs Chloe to throw her gun and for Lucifer to stand down.
"What is it you want, LeMec?"
"I would like for you to take away the pain you've caused me! I have been in agony ever since you whispered in my ear. If you could just undo it, that will be lovely, thanks."
"I can't."
"Then I guess I just have to blow her brains off!"
"It's your guilt. Only you could take your pain away."
"No! You're lying!" He presses the handgun harder on the urchin's temple, and Trixie winches. But before he could pull the trigger, the gun gets sliced in half by Rory, who made a stealth entrance.
"Looks like you're outnumbered Lame-mec." She says and kicks him on the back and sends him at Lucifer's feet.
Chloe then retrieves her gun and trains it on Dan's murderer.
"Well," Lucifer smirks and adjusts his cufflinks, "I wonder what I would do with you this time?"
"Rory, isn't it?" Trixie says as she catches the younger angel's attention while Lucifer and Chloe are giving their statements.
"Yes. Are you okay?"
"Thank you for saving me."
"It was a team effort."
"Your wings are cool, by the way,"
Rory almost pales at that, having thought earlier that her elder sister didn't notice.
"What — "
"I overheard you guys arguing at the reception. I know who you are."
"You do, don't you. Well, you've always been perceptive, T." Rory gives her sister the slightest touch just as Chloe comes near the ambulance to give her little girl another bone-crushing hug. Maybe she should take that offer from Lucifer to assign hellhounds…
Lucifer meanwhile approaches Rory, who's pacing and about to burn a hole in the ground.
"Why so glum? I'm here, aren't I?"
"But so am I."
"Well, yes. We're one big half celestial, half-human family."
"The fact is, you are going to leave."
The Devil doesn't comment on how Rory needs to loosen up because of this momentous occasion.
Author's Note: I really thought it was Trixie who got kidnapped. That would have great if two angels would come to her rescue. Also, Lucifer could have easily defended himself because LeMec is the only one left standing. He could block that knife instead of leaving his body wide open... and... I'll stop now. XD
