The Mother hovered over the shore, "Cannons!" Shadow yelled. They all fired barely hurting the Mother who begins swiping at them with her tentacles. "Get to the ships!" a random man said. Shadow stopped him "No! NO!". The Mother fired cyan lasers from her tentacles destroying all the ships. The one Cyzer was on began to sink. Shadow and Omega ran together "I was a fool. Lead the men to the far side of the island. Omega, go with them" "What about you?" "I can buy them some time if I give that thing someone to hunt". Omega grabbed his hand "Then I can triple that time". Shadow smirked and nodded before they both ran towards the Mother "Here!" "No! Here!". Omega fired a missile getting the Mother's attention "You have met your equal" "No, over. Fight me!" Shadow yelled. It raises its tentacles to kill them when a ball of fire suddenly hit its head. Shadow looked confused and then saw a group of shapes flying towards them. He was then amazed to see it was Silver with the group who were all now possessed by wisps. Jet and Wave were both riding on boards made out of blue light. Jet was wielding a the Bashōsen fan and Wave held a wrench. Rotor was now wearing a yellow full-body suit. Shard now seemed to be made out of metal looking like a robotic version of himself. Blaze was on fire with Silver on her back strangely not getting burned by the fire. Everyone watched amazed and confused. Omega stepped up Shadow "Every bit the stubborn chao-headed organic you ever were", Shadow nodded.
Silver looked down at the Mother "Rotor, break it down!" "Okay, heavily armoured skull with tentacles that have the power of Lasers! Stay clear. No eyes. Must rely on hearing". He watched as it formed a blue cube and dropped it on one of the ships "Bashōsen feathers most likely work on those". Silver nodded "Okay. Shard, Rotor. Hang in close to the head, make noise, keep it confused! Jet, Wave, use your weapons to break any constructs it makes and draw its attention from the others. Make it mad!". Wave gave a thumbs up "That's my specialty!" "Since when!? Everyone knows I'm more irritating! See?". Jet hangs upside from his board and makes faces. Silver sighed "Just do what I told you! I'll be back as soon as I can!" "We got it covered". Blaze flew Silver down over the ship wreckages while the others excitedly headed toward the Mother. Jet and Wave flew in front of her face "Troll" "Nerb!" "Bride of Ixis!". They both laughed and the Mother shoots at them but they dodge. Rotor begins shooting laser bolts from his wrists while Shard punched the other side of the Mother. Blaze dropped Silver on the burning ship "Go help the others!" he yelled back to her, and she flew away. Shard started to feel tired and he flew up crashing onto the head of the Mother. Rotor lost control of his flight "I'm running out of energy!". He started falling "Shard, do something!". He spun and crashed onto the ground separating him from the Drill "I'm okay". The Drill then hit him on the head "Less okay". The Mother was about to shoot him. Shard tried to think of something and hit his right hand against the head. It suddenly turned into a cannon "Oh, yeah!" he said with a grin before fired down on the creature distracting it. The Mother roared and missed shooting Rotor. Blaze flew past "Yeah! You're the Warrior!". Shard smirked and fired again but the Mother then turned it's head knocking him over.
Silver was trying to get Cyzer free but the Mother stomped on the ship causing it to sink. Silver swam down to try and get to him. He punched against the glass trying to break it but not fast enough. Silver passed out but Shadow suddenly grabbed him and pulled him out of the water. On the ground Silver coughed up water. He looked up and saw Shadow walking towards the water "Dad?". Shadow dived back down and hit the glass cage with the sword. Cyzer quickly possessed Shadow and flew him out of the water and dropped him on the ground near Silver. It left his body and then possessed Silver who smirked "Good to have you back, bud". He was about to fly but Shadow grabbed his arm "Silver!". He paused for a moment trying to get the words "I'm sorry… for-for everything". Silver nodded "Yeah. Me, too" "You don't have to go up there". Silver shrugged "We're Onyx. It's an occupational hazard". Shadow clasped Silver's left hand between his own "I'm proud to call you my son". Silver looked warmly smiled at his father "Thanks, Dad". He flew up into the sky. Blaze spotted him "He's up! Get Shard out of there". Wave and Jet both started fighting over saving Shard. He jumped off the Mother and landed between them, Jet quickly caught him "I can't believe that worked!". They flew away but the Mother opened its mouth wide and sucks Blaze towards it. She desperately tried to fight against it when a giant boulder hit the side of the Mother stopping it.
Blaze now completely drained fell to the ground screaming. She suddenly stopped and saw that she was flying with her body glowing cyan. She looked up and saw Silver grinning at her. He flew down and gently dropped her on her feet. She watched him head to the Mother "Go". Silver started flying up "Let's see if she can fly". He dived downwards grabbing two massive boulders and threw them at the Mother who roared "You think that did it?". Silver looked back and saw the Mother now following them "Well, she can". The crowd all cheer as Silver leads the Mother through the rock columns coming out of the water. Silver sees dark thick clouds above them "Okay, Cyzer, time to disappear!". He swooped upwards with the Mother giving chase. It opened up its huge jaws to snap at Silver, but he suddenly vanished in the clouds. It looks around for him when a ball of cyan coloured energy hit it's back. It turned and roared and was then hit from above. On the shore Shadow and the others watched as the clouds kept flashing cyan. The Mother let out another roar before firing her laser in random directions "Watch out". Silver flew out of the way of a laser, but it grazed his hand damaging his glove "Okay, time's up! Let's see if this works". He made a pass "Come on! Is that the best you can do!?". The Mother chased him downwards. Silver could feel Cyzer struggling to hold the energy in "Come on, buddy!". Silver looked back and saw the Mother with her jaw opened and her tentacles ready to fire lasers "Hold, Cyzer... NOW!". He turned back around, Cyzer released all the energy he could, and Silver used it to grab the tentacles and turn them around. They fired the lasers directly through the mouth of the Mother. Heavily injured the Mother fell to the ground. She crashed into the rocks and her body exploded with huge burst of multi coloured energy. Silver flew around and tried to get away from the explosion. A tentacle swung at him; he was about to move out of the way but he felt something in his chest "No. No!". A burst of energy was released and Cyzer shot out of his body. The tentacle hit Silver throwing him away back into the cloud of fire. Cyzer tried to go after him strangely transforming into his Black skinned form.
Shadow wonders aimlessly through the cloud of ash "Silver! SILVER! SON!". He sees Cyzer lying in a pile made out of his own tail. Shadow gasped and ran towards him "Silver". He looked around Cyzer, but Silver wasn't there. Cyzer moans in exhaustion, Shadow's hands shake, and he falls to his knees. He lowered his head too shocked to even cry "Oh, son". He closes his eyes "I did this". Omega and the others walk up behind him, Blaze breaks through the crowd but stops when she sees Shadow. The other wisps hover above the crowd also watching. All the villagers lower their heads mournfully. Cyzer slowly opened his eyes and looked up at Shadow who met his gaze "Oh, son, I'm so sorry". Cyzer tilted his head and then his tail moved revealing Silver wrapped in the tail protected. Shadow's eyes widened and he got to his feet "Silver". He picked Silver up and put an ear to his chest. He gave a relived sigh "He's alive. You brought him back alive". The crowd begins to cheer, Shard and the others are relived when their wisps hover over next to them. Shadow kneels and puts his hand on Cyzer's head "Thank you for saving my son". Omega walked over and titled his head staring at Silver "About 90% of him".
Silver laid asleep in bed when Cyzer came up close to his face. He nudges Silver's cheek, and he wakes up. He slowly smiles "Hey, Cyzer". Cyzer nuzzled against him, Silver petted his head "I'm happy to see you, too, buddy". Silver then shot upwards "I'm in my house. Uh. You're in my house". Cyzer began slithering about the house knocking things over "Does dad know you're here?". Silver suddenly realises something about his left leg. He slowly removed the blanket and saw that the bottom part of the leg was now robotic with his shoes over it. The leg had no fur and was covered in cyan circuits. Silver took a moment to take it in before putting both his feet to the ground. Cyzer turned cyan and hovered over to him looking supportive. Silver took a deep breath before standing up. He tries to take a step, but he falls forward. Cyzer pushes against his chest helping him stand and then he let Silver lean against him "Thanks, bud". He walks to the door and opens it to see Shard fly by possessed by a Quake "Come on, guys. Get ready. Here we go!". He was followed by two adults who were training with wisps. Silver stared opened mouthed as he saw more wisps playfully flying around the village "What? I knew it. I'm dead". Shadow came over laughing "No, but you gave it your best shot. So, what do you think?". People started noticing Silver was awake and ran over to him. Shadow patted his back "Turns out all we needed was a little more of this" "You just gestured to all of me". Omega came over "Most of you. The robot leg was my doing. I hope it is satisfactory". Silver glanced down at the leg "I might make a few tweaks" "I won't take it personally". Blaze suddenly appeared out of the crowd and punched Silver arm "Ow!" "That's for scaring me". Silver rubbed his arm "What, is it always going to be this way? Cause-". Blaze leans forward and kisses him on the lips. Silver pauses "I could get used to it". Omega steps forward and holds out Silver's gloves and bracelets making him smirk.
Cyzer possesses Silver, they both suddenly feel a higher rush of energy and the circuits in his new leg begin to glow. Silver smirks and looks over to Blaze who is now on fire "You ready?", she nods. They both look out over the now wisp covered village "This is Onyx. It snows nine months of the year and hails the other three". They both take off "Any food that grows here is tough and tasteless". They swoop over the village yelling excitedly "The people that grow here are even more so. The only upsides are the pets". They are joined now by Rotor "While other places have Chao or Flickys". Then by Wave, Jet and Shard all possessed. They all fly straight up into the sky "We have… Wisps" Silver soared ahead of the others.
