Hello everyone! :) Thank you so much for reviewing, Anonymous, lilyflower101 and Ilse! :) You guys are AWESOME!
In this chap, the brothers will meet- and the rest of the fanfiction is basically just a lot of brotherly fluff, cp, spankings, and some angst and h/c. Lol.
Hope you like it! :)
The full moon was shining down brightly on a little boy inside a big dormitory who was sitting on his bed, trembling, a letter in his hand.
Everyone around him was asleep- it was quiet, and dark, but the little boy seemed to be far from tired- he looked wide awake, his eyes darting quickly from word to word as he read the letter.
My dearest Tom, the letter said, I am sitting in the library while I am writing this- looking at your desk where you spent hours and hours studying- and if I close my eyes, I can almost see you sitting there, biting your lip, like you always do when you are concentrating hard, holding your quill perfectly straight- and trying to be my good boy and getting your work done in time. The problem is, when I open my eyes, you are gone again- and it hurts all over again.
I miss you, Tommybear. I miss you all the time, looking at the sky and seeing a silly shaped cloud makes me miss you, working at the stables makes me miss you, having green beans for dinner makes me miss you- and about a million other things.
The hardest part is walking by your room knowing that no one is in there waiting for a bedtime story or to be tucked in or to look at the clouds…
Tom put down the letter, taking a deep breath. This was in some ways worse than expected- and his heart was hammering against his chest, but he forced himself to finish reading the letter, as difficult as it was.
The Manor is so quiet without you- even the house elves admitted that the other day. Salazar tries his best to cheer me up- but he misses you, too. I believe Dash misses you as well- he is always looking around when I come to see him, like he is waiting for you to walk in behind me.
I have made mistakes, many of them- and I know I am not a perfect father, but I do know that I love you.
I love you so much, Tommy, and I will wait, I will give you all the time in the world to figure this out, and you know why? Because you are my boy- you have been from the moment we met.
I love you.
Tom was breathing heavily now, and the tears streaming down his face made it almost impossible to finish the letter, and he felt like he was about to hyperventilate.
How could he have been so blind, so ignorant, so stupid?
He knew why Gryffindor had brought him here now- because he had been too angry to see and to understand what was obvious at the Manor.
Gryffindor wanted to be his father, hell, he already was his father- making him study, disciplining him, teaching him, playing with him, taking care of him- and until today he had always thought Gryffindor just wanted to punish and humiliate him, but…Gryffindor loved him. He had punished him to become a better person, just like he had when he had taught him how to eat properly, which had really come in handy at Mrs. Rose's house.
Gryffindor had written this letter before he had even asked him about the stone- meaning that he had not manipulated him like he had accused him of, he had already loved him before…
He suddenly got up, too agitated to be able to sleep now.
I need to talk to him, I need to tell him that I love him, too!
Dressed in nothing but his pajamas, Tom stormed out the dormitory, and when he ran down the dark and quiet hallway, he was not even realizing that he had no idea how to get Gryffindor to come here now, in the middle of the night.
The janitor was still up, and he called after Tom rushing down the hallway, "why are you out of bed, boy?"
Tom stopped and turned around, "I need to talk to someone, it's urgent!", he blurted out, "I need to tell…"
"You need to go to bed, boy!", the janitor interrupted him, clearly annoyed, "go, or I will get the headmistress!"
"Get her then!", Tom hissed back, "I need my Daddy to come, right now!"
"Your…Daddy?", the janitor laughed spitefully, "you know where you are, huh?"
"You don't understand!", Tom did not bother to keep his voice down, "I need to tell him something!"
"What is going on here?"
The headmistress came closer, followed by another teacher and a nurse, "Thomas", she said his name like it was something nasty, "why are you not in bed?"
"I…I need my dad, I need to tell him, please, you need to help me contact him! We could send an owl, or…"
"Send an owl?", the headmistress repeated, "are you…feeling quite alright, Thomas?"
Tom had completely forgotten that he was talking to Muggles, and that fact made him feel even more desperate now, "I am fine, you don't understand, I need to leave, I need my dad…"
"You don't have a father", the nurse interrupted him smugly, and then she turned to the headmistress, "the boy is either playing the fool or in some kind of delirium."
"I think he wanted to run away and is playing the fool now to get away with it!", the janitor remarked, "this one is trouble, from the day he got here!"
"I am not playing the fool, that's bullshit, all I want is…"
"All I want is you to stop being such a nuisance!", the headmistress hissed, her face turned into an ugly grimace, "take this boy and lock him up in the basement- a few hours alone in the dark will hopefully help him come to his senses!"
"Yes, Ma'am!", the janitor sounded pleased while he was grabbing Tom hard, much harder than needed, "let's go, boy- you can scream all you want in the basement for your Daddy, no one will hear you there!"
"No! No, let me go! LET ME GO!", he was struggling like crazy, but the janitor held him tight, and dragged him down the stairs, "Daddy! Daddy, help me! Please, Daddy! Daddy, I am sorry, I love you, Daddy, please!"
The janitor snorted, and pushed him inside a small room that had been used as an instruction room for wood working once, "you keep crying for Daddy- ain't no Daddy coming", he smirked, "and if you are still screaming tomorrow, I'll make you stay here all day."
He closed the door with a bang, and then Tom heard the key turning in the rusty lock- and then, he was alone.
It was cold in the basement, very cold- and there was no light, just a tiny window, and there was no bed, or chair, not even a blanket.
He was banging against the door with his fists, crying and screaming at the same time, "let me out of here! LET ME OUT! I need to talk to my dad, please…please…"
Eventually, he crumbled down by the door, covering his face in his hands, weeping bitterly.
I messed it all up- of course he's not coming, not after how I treated him…
"Daddy…", he was whimpering now, and he did not even realize he was wetting himself because everything hurt so much…and it was so cold…so cold…
And suddenly, it wasn't cold anymore- and there was light, and there was…
"Shhhh…Daddy's here, baby bear…Daddy's here…", and he got picked up by strong arms, "I am here, Tommy, Daddy is here…"
He sobbed, too exhausted and tired and cold and sad to even comprehend what was happening, "Daddy…want my Daddy…"
"I know…I heard you, baby bear. Daddy is here now, taking you home. Do you want to go home with Daddy, Tommy?"
Tom was crying, "I…I am sorry! I am so sorry! I did not mean…I don't…I want…"
"Shhhh…you can explain all of that later. Let's go home first- someone needs a bath", he was smiling at him, but Tom was too drained to understand, everything seemed foggy, and far away, and he just wanted to sleep…
They apparated back to Gryffindor Manor.
Gryffindor wasted no time and carried the whimpering boy into his bathroom, "Tommy? You are home now…can you look at me, baby bear?"
Tom whimpered, but he did look at him, feeling completely and utterly exhausted.
"Good boy", Gryffindor praised him, "can you hold still for a moment? I need to take those clothes off you."
He whimpered in response, suddenly realizing that his pants were wet- and it smelled like…
"No, no!", he was crying again, trying to step back when Gryffindor reached for his pants, feeling ashamed and humiliated, "no, please, I am sorry…I…I…"
"There is nothing to be sorry about, Tommy", Gryffindor said softly, "it was all a bit much today, hmm? Poor baby bear…Daddy is right here, Tommy", and he held the struggling boy gently and pulled down the urine soaked pants, "come on, bath time."
"No! No!", Tom was crying, not even knowing exactly what he was saying no to, but Gryffindor understood that his boy was mentally and physically exhausted, and did not know what he was saying at this point, "shhh…it's all good, Tommy…", and he carefully put the struggling boy into the bathtub, "see? It's nice and warm…getting you all clean…"
Tom sobbed, blinking in confusion, but he had stopped crying, the warm water felt amazing- but his brain was still too foggy to understand what exactly was happening.
Gryffindor spoke softly to him while he washed him, and then he dried him off and put him into some clean and warm pajamas, "it's time for bed now, Tommy", he told him calmly while he carried him over to his bedroom, "we will talk tomorrow…right now, you will be Daddy's good boy and go to sleep."
He tucked him in, smiling warmly at the sleepy boy who could hardly keep his eyes open, "sweet dreams, baby bear."
Tom blinked, and slowly reached for his hand, "Daddy stay?"
"Daddy will stay until you are asleep", Gryffindor promised and took his hand, "sleep tight, Tommy…Daddy loves you."
"Love…Daddy…too…Daddy…took…me…home…"
"Yes, you are home", Gryffindor assured him quietly, "sleeping time for little boys now- no more talking, Tommybear."
Tom mumbled something, but he did not talk anymore- instead, he snuggled closer under his covers, and before he could think about what had happened, he was asleep.
And when he woke up the next morning, Gryffindor was already there, smiling at him, "good morning, baby bear", he kissed him softly on his hair, which was still messy from sleep, "did you sleep well?"
"Yeah…", he crawled closer, "am I…home now?"
"Yes, Tommy, you are home", Gryffindor assured him, hugging him, "do you want to tell me what happened last night?"
Tom looked down, the memories came flooding back, "I…I read your letter", he finally said quietly, "the one…where you said you loved me, and then…I wanted to talk to you, but they…would not let me and I was screaming, and I was so sad, and then they locked me in the basement", he swallowed hard, "and…it was so cold…", he refused to mention that he had peed himself, too embarrassed to even think about that.
"Does that mean you know now why I took you there?"
Tom blinked back the tears, "yes…it was what you said yesterday when you…at the cottage. You said that you disciplined me because you love me."
"Precisely", Gryffindor pulled him on his lap, "I want you to learn from your mistakes, Tommy, I want you to be my good boy- and if you do something wrong, I am here you teach you not to do it again."
"And…when you said you were finding a foster family for me…you…you meant…"
"I meant us", Gryffindor admitted, "I was never going to let you go to someone else- because you are my boy, Tommy."
Tom smiled, and nodded, and they sat in silence for a moment until he realized something, "how did you know I was calling for you last night?"
"I put a protection spell on you when I first took you to the orphanage", Gryffindor answered, "that's how I knew you were stressed and unhappy- so I came right away to get my little boy", he gave him another kiss.
"You…won't send me back, right?"
"No, Tommy- never. You are my little boy, and I want you to stay with me."
"Yes, Daddy", he whispered and then a slow smile spread across his face, "I can call you that now."
"And I can call you my son now", Gryffindor replied softly, "my baby bear, Daddy's wild little boy", he cuddled him and Tom felt something warm inside him, it grew bigger, and soon the happiness was spreading through his whole body, "I love you, Daddy."
"I love you, too, Tommy."
"Relius…", Sirius yawned, and then sighed in content when his older brother slowly pulled him closer, "still tired, baby boy?"
"Hmmm", he mumbled, blinking sleepily, "wanna stay in bed…"
Aurelius laughed softly and started to rake through his hair with one hand, "we have to talk though, Sirius. There's something I need to explain to you."
Sirius yawned again and carefully opened his eyes, "about the plan?"
"No, baby boy", he paused, "about…Thomas."
Sirius stilled, suddenly remembering that he had heard that name before- when Gryffindor had been there.
I have enough problems with Thomas already- don't you think I deserve it that at least one of you is obedient and responsible?
"He's…your brother, isn't he?"
"Our brother", Aurelius corrected, "father adopted him not that long ago- he is living in Gryffindor Manor now. He is fourteen."
Sirius frowned, "I don't want to share you", he blurted out the first thing that came to his mind, "I don't want another brother!"
Aurelius sighed and pulled him on his lap, "you know I love you, Sirius- and that nothing will change that. There is…there is something else you need to know about Tom- promise me you will listen to me before you freak out."
Sirius blinked, "why would I freak out?"
"His real name- before my father adopted him- was Tom. Tom…Riddle. Voldemort."
Sirius paled, "no."
"Yes, Sirius", Aurelius' voice was calm, "he has been through a lot…"
"I don't care!", he struggled to free himself from Aurelius' grip, but his brother held him tight, "I don't give a shit what he's been through, he killed my best friend, I was in Azkaban for twelve years, and…"
"I know, baby boy…but that was your old life. You are not Sirius Black anymore; you are Sirius Gryffindor- Slytherin now- my brother."
"So, I am supposed to forgive him now for killing James and Lily?", Sirius sneered, "cause that's not gonna happen, when I see him, I will beat the crap out of him, I will…"
"You won't do any of these things- and you don't have to forgive him, but maybe knowing what he has been through those last weeks will help you see things from a different perspective", Aurelius responded, still holding him in a tight grip.
"Fine, I am listening", Sirius spat out, and swallowed when Aurelius raised an eyebrow, "do you want to try that again, little brother?", his voice had gotten cold.
"I…am sorry", Sirius forced himself to say, "it's just…you expect me to treat Voldemort like my brother now, he does not deserve that, he deserves to rot in Azkaban!"
"I am expecting you to listen to me", Aurelius answered sharply, "just as I will Tom expect to listen to me- he won't get away with being rude or disrespectful either."
"Sorry, Aurelius", Sirius whispered, "I'll listen, I promise!"
"Good boy", Aurelius kissed him on top of his head, and then he started talking- he left nothing out, he described the tortures Tom had suffered from at the detention center, the punishments, the humiliations, basically everything Gryffindor had done to him- including the time he had spent at the orphanage.
Sirius listened quietly, and the more he listened, the more compassion he felt for this strange, wild boy- he sounded nothing like Voldemort, he sounded just like…him.
After Aurelius had finished, there was a long silence.
"So…you have everything now- the cloak, the wand, and the stone", Sirius mumbled, avoiding to talk about Tom, "what's the stone good for?"
"The stone can control life and death", Aurelius answered carefully, "the stone has the power to…revive the death."
Sirius froze, "that means…can you bring…can James and Lily…", he did not dare to say it out loud.
"It is a possibility, yes", Aurelius answered calmly, "but that is something you need to discuss with our father later."
"Later?"
"Well, it is not going to take Dumbledore long to figure out that there is something wrong with his wand", Aurelius replied, "we cannot leave right away, it would be too suspicious- which means, I need you to get up now, get dressed and attend class. We are going to leave tomorrow morning, and until then, you will act as normal as you can. Start packing after dinner tonight, and have everything ready by tomorrow after breakfast. I will make something up for McGonagall."
Sirius nodded, "okay…are we…going to come back, though?"
"That depends on how everything will go down with Dumbledore", Aurelius responded, "he is going to get very angry once he finds out what happened- and we can't be here then."
"I'll miss Colin", Sirius mumbled, "and Callum, and Ginny…"
"We might be able to come back", Aurelius said, "so do not tell your friends anything else. Dumbledore might interrogate them."
Sirius nodded again, and then he slowly got up, "gonna get dressed now."
"Good boy", Aurelius praised him, "you need to hurry- class starts in thirty minutes. I'll make you something to eat really quick."
"Thank you", he disappeared into the bathroom, took a quick shower, hastily got dressed and then ate the breakfast Aurelius had prepared for him.
Twenty minutes later, the brothers left the quarters and hurried to class.
The weather had gotten cold, and foggy, so there was not much to do, and Sirius spent his breaks inside with Colin who was eager to hear what had happened.
His friend was sad to see him go, he was the only one who knew, but promised to stay silent.
The rest of the day was uneventful, both brothers kept a low profile, and Sirius managed to pack his belongings after dinner, and after breakfast the next day, he was ready to go.
Aurelius had told McGonagall that their father had gotten ill when they had seen him the other day, and they needed to take care of him now since their mother was away on a business trip.
Charming as he was, McGonagall had believed every word, and while the other students went to class, Aurelius and Sirius left Hogwarts and took the train back to King's Cross.
The train ride was completely different this time, not only because Aurelius let him sit on his lap the whole time, he also bought him candy, played games with him, and even allowed him to take Croakster out.
After three hours, Sirius fell asleep on Aurelius' lap, and he slept all the way to King's Cross.
Aurelius did not bother waking him, he enjoyed holding his brother close, and he enjoyed the adorable little grunts and sighs Sirius made in his sleep.
He was almost sad when they finally got to King's Cross and he had to wake him up, "we're here, baby boy…time to wake up…"
Sirius mumbled something, "nooo…so cozy…"
Aurelius smiled, "come on, we don't want to be late. Be a good boy now."
Sirius got up, yawning, and grabbed his luggage, "how do we get to Gryffindor Manor?", he asked.
"The same way like we got here- we will apparate", Aurelius replied, taking his suitcase and the cage with his owl, "let's go, baby boy."
The departed the train and apparated, and moments later, they were back in Gryffindor Manor.
Sirius bit his lips. Nothing had changed here- and for a moment he was afraid that everything would be just the same when he had been here last.
"Shhh…no overthinking, Sirius", Aurelius said quietly, "it will be different this time, you know that."
The house elves came running and took their luggage, and then a door opened and Sirius recognized Salazar, smiling at him, and Gryffindor, but he did not recognize the boy who was holding Gryffindor's hand, almost hiding behind him.
They came closer, and Gryffindor was smiling now, too, "welcome home, boys", his voice was warm, "did everything go as planned?"
"Yes, Dad", Aurelius answered calmly, "everything went well- we have the elder wand, and no one got suspicious."
"Well done, my boy", Gryffindor ruffled his hair affectionally, and then moved to kiss Sirius on his head, "well done, little star", it sounded kind, "now, I would like you to meet someone- your brother, Tom", he gently pushed Tom forward, "say hello to your brothers, Tommy."
Tom bit his lips, he seemed nervous, and scared- and Sirius suddenly felt sorry for the boy, and he took a step forward, "hi Tom- I am Sirius. It is nice to meet you", he grinned at him, "I heard you have a horse?"
To his surprise, the boy grinned right back, "I wish- I am taking care of one though. His name is Dash", he paused, "it's…nice to meet you, too."
They looked at each other for another minute, and then Aurelius stepped forward, "good to meet you, Tom", he said calmly, holding out his hand, "my name is Aurelius- I am your older brother."
He had been watching the whole scene between his brothers and while he knew that Sirius had seen the tension in Tom's demeanor, he had seen something else- an obstinate, defiant expression in his eyes. He knew that winning the boys' respect would be hard, and he knew he had to make it very clear from the beginning who was in charge here.
As he had expected, Tom did neither smile nor grin when he shook his hand, "good to meet you, too", it sounded almost arrogant, and Aurelius had to smile. He recognized a challenge when he saw one, and he knew without a doubt that this boy was challenging him.
Bring it on then, naughty boy.
He stepped even closer, and then he leaned down to Tom, who was barely any taller than Sirius, "we'll have to work on that attitude of yours, little bear", he said quietly, quietly enough for only Tom to hear, "for right now, I will let it slide- but if I were you, I would not want to keep pushing", he got back up and smiled at the younger boy who was staring right back at him, looking furious.
Tom was furious- he did not want or need any brothers, and he especially did not need an older brother who was as smug, and self-confident and tall as this one!
He did not dare to openly disrespect him right now though, not in front of Gryffindor, but later he would tell this smug asshole that he did not care for him or anything he said.
"You must be hungry", Salazar eventually remarked, "let's have some lunch and then you can unpack. The house elves brought your luggage to your rooms already."
"What about Croakster?", Sirius asked, "I need to find him a home", he held up the cage and Tom eyed the frog with interest, "can he do tricks?", he blurted out before he could stop himself.
Sirius beamed and took Croakster out of his cage, "yes, I taught him some really cool stuff- you wanna see?"
"Sure!", Tom replied, carefully touching the small frog, and when he realized that Aurelius' face had darkened, his smile got wider.
Looks like I found your weak spot, big brother.
"You can play with Croakster after lunch", Aurelius said, his voice firm, "put him back in his cage now and go wash your hands, both of you after you touched that frog."
"Yes, Aurelius", Sirius immediately responded and gently put Croakster back in his cage.
Yes, Aurelius, let me lick your shoes for you.
Tom rolled his eyes, "I barely touched him", he eventually responded, "and I just washed my hands, right, Daddy?", he looked at Gryffindor for reassurance.
Gryffindor and Aurelius exchanged a look, "you did, Tom- and now you will wash them again, just like Aurelius has told you", Gryffindor replied, still looking at Aurelius, "go take your little brother to the bathroom and then meet us in the dining room for lunch."
"Yes, Daddy", Tom's voice was as sweet as could be now and then he turned to Sirius, signaling him to follow him to the bathroom.
As soon as they were gone, Aurelius sighed, "this is…going to be hard."
"Yes, it is", Gryffindor responded calmly, "I told you that he does not respond very well to authority- it has been taking me weeks and weeks to get him to the point he is at now, and he is still not halfway where I want him to be. He will test you, Aurelius- way more than Sirius ever will."
"What should I do?"
"You will do what we have discussed- you will be strict and fair with him- and most importantly, consistent. Don't tell him he's getting punished and then don't punish him- he needs to know that you mean what you say. If you confuse him, he will never feel safe with you."
Aurelius nodded, "understood. Should I punish him for giving me attitude earlier?"
Gryffindor shook his head, "it is too late now- you should have reacted immediately when he was disrespecting you. He is very smart, and he instantly realized that he got away with it the first time, so he decided to do it again. If he disrespects you a third time, you will need to punish him right away."
"I don't want to spank him yet."
Gryffindor nodded, "I agree- it would be too early. With Tom, corner time will probably work best. He does not like to stay still and be bored, so anything that restricts his freedom is a good punishment."
"So…corner time, time- outs, grounding him?"
"Exactly."
Aurelius nodded again, "I can do that."
Godric was smiling at him now, "don't worry, as soon as he realizes you mean business, it will get easier- he is also very brave and daring and sarcastic and funny and cuddly- and he needs an older brother desperately. You will love him soon enough."
Aurelius smiled back, watching Sirius and Tom come back from the bathroom, and Tom was gesturing wildly with his hands and Sirius was laughing about whatever Tom was saying, "don't worry, Dad- I already do."
yeah...next chap has some cp in it, tom's gonna push aurelius' boundaries :D and more brotherly fluff.
if you liked it, or not, please leave some feedback :)
