Hi there everyone! Hope your liking this new idea for a story. Yes it is based off a movie (Blue Lagoon), this will probably be the last chapter of the story that solely reassembles the movie. Now only bits and pieces will match in with it. I just wanted a solid base to start on. So enjoy! Also for those asking my Wattpad is 'Jabsieca'.

The teachers, Kim, Hailey, Adam and Antonio all stood talking to the police after it had been 2 hours of looking around the resort for Jay and Erin.

"She never made it back to the hotel?" Miss Parks asked the group.

"No. I thought maybe she was…"

Kim started talking but the police cut her off, "Was she drinking?"

"What's that have to do with it?" She snapped at the office, causing a disappointed look from the teachers.

"Was she with Jay?" They asked.

"What? No. Well atleast I don't think so, I don't know." She shrugged and gave a sad look to Adam who shrugged, he also had no idea.

"He was on the boat?" The police asked, jotting down information.

"Yeah he was but it's highly unlikely that they were together or hooking up. Even so if they were together Jay wouldn't put her in any danger and they certainly wouldn't be running off together." Adam spoke up.

"What makes you say that?" The police asked.

"For one Erin's father is a sergeant in the Chicago Police Department so she's been taught and bought up not doing these things…"

Kim wanted to continue but the policeman cut her off again, "That doesn't mean anything, kids tend to rebel."

She rolled her eyes, "Miss can you please tell them that Erin wouldn't do this."

"Look can anything be done to find them?" Mr Stevens asked, getting frustrated with the pointless conversation they were having.

"More than likely, they'll find you. This type of thing isn't uncommon. It's the youthful spirit of adventure." He explained.

"No, this is my best friend we're talking about. I know her. She has no youthful spirit of adventure." Kim said as she began tearing up, they weren't listening to her. She felt Adam's hand squeeze her shoulder, he was also very confused.

They were so close, been paddling for hours and they were finally in reaching difference of the island. As they got close those they were smashed into the rocks on the shoreline, "Jay!"

Jay grabbed onto Erin as they crashed into the rocks, he then grabbed the paddle and helped guide the boat onto the shore, trying to prevent it from tipping over.

Finally they made it onto the sand, they quickly jumped out then pulled the boat onto the sand, both falling down once they stopped, pure exhaustion but they were finally on solid ground.

After a few minutes of catching their breath Jay sat up and looked at Erin, "You okay?"

"Yeah. You?"

"Yeah. Think so." He nodded as he stood up, stretching out his hand for her to pull herself up too, she took it to his surprise.

She stood up and grabbed her phone, sighing when once again she had no bars, "No coverage. We'll have to find a phone."

"Great," Jay sighed then went back over to the boat, "Well, wait up."

"Come on." She said frustratedly, watching him search around in the boat, "Really?" He pulled out a flare gun and a couple flares, "Who's that for?"

"I don't know. Shoot the bad guys?"

She chuckled dryly, "Yeah don't think a flare gun will protect us somehow."

"I know dummy, it's just incase we get to a high point, maybe alert someone we are here."

"Hopefully we find someone before it comes to that."

They'd been walking for what felt like hours, through rainforest, even though they were in a shitty situation and all they wanted to do was find help it was a beautiful scenery.

"No, you finish it." Jay said as Erin passed him her water bottle, "I could use a coffee. Like a mocha ice blended with an extra shot. Maybe even two extra shots."

Erin frowned, "That's all your thinking about right now?"

He ignored her comment, "Oh, man. How good would that be?"

"Aah!" Erin shouted, causing Jay to look at her and laugh.

"What was that?"

"I hate bugs." She said flinging her hands around her face.

"Well, you've come to the right place, then." He joked, which she wasn't pleased with, "Sorry I'm just use to all this kind of stuff, gotta remember not everyone likes this type of thing."

She was over making small talk with him all she wanted was to shower and get back to the actual reason they were here. Hoping that they wouldn't be in too much trouble, "Let's just find a hotel. We finish working on the school today. I'll bet everyone's probably all worried about us."

"You, maybe. I can promise you nobody's worried about me." Jay shrugged.

"I doubt that, Adam and Tony would be stressing. And what would your mum and dad say? I'm sure they would be worried if they have been contacted by now."

She watched as he went quiet, "What?"

"Mums not around and my father isn't exactly the most caring person in the world."

"Where's your mum?"

She was prodding, he didn't like it but he didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable, "She died."

"Oh Jay I'm so sorry."

"Let's just drop it, hopefully there is a hotel around this mountain." She nodded silently as they continued walking.

"Yeah, this is Pat Halstead. I'm sorry, what?"

He said shocked as he listened to the voice on the other end of the phone, his other son looking at the colour drain out of his face.

He hung up and quickly started grabbing his things, "Your brother and another girl is missing, I'm heading to the school. Keep your phone on."

Pat made his way to the school and ran into what he assumed were the parents of the missing girl, "Excuse me. Mrs. Voight? Jay Halstead's father."

She turned around with red eyes, she'd been crying, "Camille. This is my husband Hank."

Pat and Hank quickly exchanged a look and nodded at each other before turning to the principle, "What were they doing on the boat, and who was watching them?"

Hank was furious and ready to send his own team over to find them, "Now, Mr. Voight…"

"Don't condescend to me. Don't you dare condescend to me. I trusted you with our daughter." Hank was beyond angry and if anyone knew Hank Voight it was to not piss him off and let anything happen to his family.

"They can't find her. It's okay, we'll find her. When is the next flight?" He asked.

"There's a redeye tonight that makes connections in Trinidad." The principal explained.

"There's not an earlier flight?" Pat snappped.

The principal shook his head, "That's the earliest. I can help you with arrangements…"

Hank cut him off, "You've done enough. Thank you. Let's go." He quickly grabbed Camilles hand and walked out the door. Pat following behind then.

Erin followed Jay through the forest, she couldn't help but stare at his muscles through the shirt he had sweated through, it outlined everyone and for a seventeen year old he sure did have a perfect body.

She stepped on yet again another hard stone which got her out of her daydream, her flip flops sure weren't made for hiking, "My feet are killing me. I fricking hate hiking."

"You wanna wear my shoes?" Jay turned around to ask her, she smiled but shook her head.

"It's okay. Thanks, though. I don't think your shoes would fit me anyway."

He chuckled, "Yeah probably not but I thought I'd offer. I'm use to this sort of thing so my feet are pretty tough."

"You do this for enjoyment?"

"Yeah most weekends and holidays. My grandpa owns a cabin in Wisconsin so I love the outdoors."

"Wish I could say the same, outdoors not so much for me. This is probably the most outdoorsey I have ever been." Erin stopped walking and looked at the bush filled with berries, "Hey look."

Jay turned around suddenly, "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Stop."

"What? They're berries." She raised her arms up.

"White and yellow, kill a fellow. Purple and blue, good for you." Jay said grabbing the berries out of her hands and quickly chucking them away.

"You're a little bit weird. You know that, right?"

He shrugged as he continued walking, "Been called worse."

"So whatever happened to you and Kelly anyway? No one talks about it but you were pretty close yeah?"

"What your boyfriend?"

"He's not my boyfriend, Kim just thought he was the guy for me."

Jay could hear the annoyance in her voice which caused him to become intrigued, "Well who's the guy for you then?"

"Not sure yet."

"Right…"

"Anyway you didn't answer my question, what ever happened to you two?"

"We grew up together, play sports together but when he became quarterback even though I was still in the football team he started hanging around with people as did I but every time something went wrong I always got the blame for it. Always got into trouble, I'm not the trouble maker everyone thinks I am."

Erin listened hard, "Then why do you encourage it?" He turned around giving her a confused look, "I mean it's not like you try to avoid trouble."

"I gave up caring about school and all that, I don't want to go to college or anything. So I'm just doing enough so I graduate."

"What do you want to do after school?"

"Join the army."

Erin's eyes widened, "Really? Woah. Didn't expect that." Jay stayed quiet until they reached a lagoon and waterfall, Erin gasped, "Oh, my..."

"Wow." Jay said shocked.

"It's beautiful." They both stood for a little while and admired it, "Come on. We gotta keep going. Let's just find a hotel."

"What? We may never get back here again. Come on. Take a picture." Jay said as he pointed to the waterfall.

"We're already in enough trouble. You know they grade this trip. I cannot mess with my GPA." Erin explained as she watched Jays pleading eyes.

"Hello? Do you know how unique this is?" Erin stayed quiet and shrugged, "Okay. What's your number-one school?"

"NYU. Why?"

"You know how many people applying to NYU have a 4.0? A lot. You know how many people have been swimming in this? Think of the essay you could write." Jay said hoping to get her to stay and have a little fun.

"Come on. We gotta find a hotel." She said, she wasn't going to let him persuade her, she was stronger then that.

"So lame. Fine."

They continued walking again through more thick rainforest, they now were both starting to question whether they were ever going to find help, people, a hotel. They were losing hope.

They reached what felt like the other side of the island, it was windy and all they could see was ocean, "Where are we?"

Jay sighed and started looking around, "We've been walking for hours."

"And we haven't seen a single road, person." Erin said sadly, when Jay looked at her it was like she had tears in her eyes but she quickly turned away.

"We better get back to the boat. Come on, it's gonna be a long walk." Jay said as he rubbed her back.

"What if we have to spend the night on this island?"

"I don't think we're going to find a five-star hotel around here." He tried joking again but all he could see was worry on her face.

"Do you know how to make a fire?"

"I do. Very well actually."

"Atleast that's something."

They reached a cave, "A cave?" Jay said as a question, wondering how she would feel about camping in a cave.

"I am not sleeping in a cave." Apparently she didn't feel great about it.

"It's the safest place to be. Dry if it rains, only one way in. Protection from the elements." He explained as he started looking in, "Hey, can I use your phone?"

She nodded and passed it to him, "Sure. There's no signal. I'm not a cave person."

"None of us are cave persons. We haven't been cave people for a long..." He was quickly cut off when he turned the flashlight on and a big swarm of bats came flying out, "Go, go, go!" He shouted.

"Aah!" Erin screamed as Jay grabbed her waist and pulled her down with him.

"So that's a no on the cave." Jay said suddenly as he took his weight off Erin, "You okay?"

"Fine. Thankyou." She blushed.

They were finally back at the beach, easily six hours of walking, they were both exhausted.

"Where's the boat?" Erin said angrily as they both quickly ran down to the shore.

Jay ran down and picked up the life jacket that was all that was left from the boat, he kicked the sand and walked back up to Erin.

"Come on we have to find somewhere safe to rest."

They were walking yet again and Erin was finding it hard to continue on, "I'm really tired. Can we take a break soon?"

He nodded, "Sure."

"Thanks."

They found a few trees and sat down, slowly the sun set. They were defiantly camping the night. Jay knew he had to stay strong for the both of them but even he was started to lose all hope now.

Erin watched as Jay stared off into the sunset, "You see something?"

"No."

"Use the are gun. You need at least two flares. You fire two flares, one to get their attention and the other so they can locate you…"

"I know how to use a flare gun," Jay snapped, "Who's "they"? Anyway?""

"The people that are gonna come get us, I guess. Our families and the police or whoever. My dad will find us."

"Hopefully because I feel like my dad wouldn't give a care in the world."

"Jay I'm sure that's not true."

He sat down beside her, "You'd be surprised."He turned around and spread the life jacket out to use it as a pillow, "You want a pillow?"

Erin laughed and that was when Jay noticed her dimples, how hadn't he noticed them before?

"Thanks." She gasped, "Wait a sec."

"What?"

"Aha." She happily shouted holding up a nut bar.

"Damn, you should be on that Price Is Right show." He joked.

"I knew it was in here. I put it in there in case I got hungry when we were building yesterday." She snapped it in half and passed some to Jay.

"Thanks." He great fully took it and tried to savour every piece of it.

"And I think you meant Let's Make a Deal."

"Hm?" Jay questioned raising an eyebrow, "Oh. Right. That show."

She smiled and snapped some more off to share with him, "Here's some more."

"Thanks. Seriously, who knew keeping everything in little baggies would pay out in the end."

Erin rolled her eyes and they sat in silence for a few minutes, "Why do you call me "Miss goody to shoes"?"

"Aren't you?"

"No."

"You seem like you are. Perfect girl, perfect world."

"Maybe you should stop judging a book by its cover, I haven't always been like this." Their conversation stopped short when they heard a tree snap, Erin jumped a little grabbing onto Jays arm, she quickly released it when they locked eye contact, "What do you think is out there? In the woods?"

"We're gonna be fine." Jay said it like a promise which caused Erin to relax the tenseness in her shoulders, she felt safe with him.

"I know."

Jay fiddled with the fire, hoping to keep it going till the morning, it wasn't freezing but he hoped that it would keep anything unwanted out.

He saw Erin started to shiver, he took his long sleeve over shirt off, "Here. Take my shirt."

"Thank you."

"Sure. Now get some rest."

She nodded and laid down next to him, "Night."

"Night."

"They'll come for us. I know it."
