I love you Chapter 13
Eddie smiles, his heart skips a beat, hearing those words brought back so many memories. Loren seems comfortable, he walks away, and closes the door behind him.
The following Morning, Loren gets Alex ready for breakfast.
"Did you sleep well?"
He gives Loren the biggest smile. "Yes, thank you for staying with me."
Mel turns towards Loren. "That's why you never came back to the room."
"He was scared; I couldn't leave him alone."
"Of course, I understand." She smirks.
Eddie walks into the room wearing his robe and a towel around his neck. "Good morning Mel, welcome." He took a shower.
Mel smiles. "Well hello there."
He turns towards Loren. "Thanks for staying with Alex, I tried waking you but you were out."
"He had a bad dream, I couldn't leave him, I didn't hear you."
Eddie smiles. "I could tell." He turns towards her to make sure she's looking at him. "It's ok, I heard you nice and clear."
Loren furrows her eyes wondering what he means, Mel interrupts. "I hear we'll see you in concert tonight?"
"Yes, Alex wants to come, Loren agreed to bring him, you're more than welcome to join them."
Mel's too excited. "I can't wait; I'm going to shower than let's get breakfast."
Eddie answers before Loren has a chance. "It's on me, hurry; I'll go ahead and order."
Alex walks back into his room, Loren adds. "I'll call you when breakfast arrives." She lets Eddie Know the coffee is ready."
"Looks like your concert was a big hit?" Loren adds.
He looks at her while he takes a sip of his coffee. "Yes it was, the most amazing moment was finding you in Alex's room, that made me smile."
"I didn't want to leave him alone; he was pretty scared."
"That's fine Loren, I appreciate that."
She knows he's trying to tell her something, he's being weird. "I'll go and make sure Mel's ready for breakfast."
He can't wait to tell her. "You told me you loved me last night."
Loren furrows her eyes. "What are you talking about?"
"Exactly what I said, I tried waking you, you clearly said, Eddie, I love you."
"I would never say that, I'm engaged, remember?"
"Yes that's what you keep saying, deep down you love me." His smile is huge.
She rolls her eyes. "Is this all we'll talk about while you tour?"
He shrugs his shoulders. "I'll stop when you admit it."
"You're impossible Eddie." She walks back to her room. Mel's done showering. "What's with you?"
"I swear I want to strangle him."
Mel laughs. "Is he getting on your nerves again?"
"He said I told him I loved him last night, I was asleep, how could I?"
"You have a tendency of talking when we try waking you, I believe you did, OMG Lo, did you see how hot he looks in that robe?"
"Of course I noticed, he's gorgeous."
"You get to see that every morning; I think it's going be hard."
"I'm not going to be able to handle this, 3 months!"
"Don't forget you're doing this for Alex, I'm sorry my sweet Lo, you're stuck."
Eddie knocks on the door. "Breakfast is ready ladies."
Loren turns towards Mel. "Don't you leave my side, and we're shopping for a wedding dress after breakfast, I'll show him."
Mel shakes her head. "Whatever you say."
After breakfast, Loren and Mel leave; Eddie's concert starts at 8 that night, he stays with Alex.
They take a cab to a huge bridal shop at Manhattan. When they arrive and enter the shop, there are dresses everywhere.
Mel laughs. "We have our hands full; what kind did you say you wanted?
"I didn't Mel, and stop laughing, I really don't care at this point."
"It's your wedding day, whether you like it or not, you have to look beautiful."
They look through several designs and styles with the help of one of the bridal specialist available at the shop.
Loren tries one dress after another, she doesn't like any of them. "We've been here several hours, it's almost 1, would you pick one, they all look very beautiful on you."
Loren's heart isn't in it. She can't stop thinking of Eddie and what he said that morning.
The bridal specialist hands Loren a dress. "This mermaid strapless looks amazing on you."
She shows Loren the accessories to wear with the dress. Loren tries it on one more time, she takes a few steps with the dress and tries sitting, she does some dance moves with the help of Mel. "I think this is the one."
"It fits you perfectly, there is no need to do any alterations to the dress, you have the perfect body Miss Tate."
"Thank you, I'll take the whole thing."
"I'll package it for you; I can have it delivered?"
"I'm staying at the Hilton Honors; can you deliver there?"
"Yes, it'll be package the dress and the accessories."
Loren pays for the dress, they leave, they enjoy a light lunch, and arrive at the hotel around 3:30, Eddie's getting ready to leave.
"When you arrive at the Garden, ask for Jake, he'll take you to your seats, and later, the back stage area."
"See you there." Loren adds.
Alex runs to Loren. "I missed you, where did you go?"
Mel's mischievous and responds. "We went shopping for a wedding dress."
Loren glares at her. "Mel!"
Alex looks at Loren. "Why are you buying a wedding dress?"
Eddie looks at Loren, he's quiet, he leaves without saying a word.
Loren looks at Alex. "Let's go read you a book."
Mel bites her lower lip, she feels bad, she walks out into the patio balcony.
It's 7 when the Limo picks them up and drives them to Eddie's concert. They arrive, and enter through the side of the building where security calls Jake; he lets them in.
He takes them to their seats. "These are the best seats on the house." Jake says.
"Thanks Jake." He looks at Loren. "Is that you?"
"Yes Jake, great to see you again, this is my friend Melissa."
"You're tutoring Alex? Hi Mel."
"Yes, I am." She responds, Jake smiles. "It's good to see you again, excuse me, if you need anything, let Kelly know, she'll be around."
Eddie gets ready in his dressing room, Jake walks in. "You failed to mention that the tutor you hired is Loren."
"I guess, I did."
"Are you crazy Eduardo? Why torture yourself?"
"By the time I got home, it was too late, my aunt signed the contract and Alex wanted her to be his teacher."
"What's going to happen? You guys were going to get married, now what?"
"She's engaged to someone else."
Jake rolls his eyes. "You've got to be kidding me."
Eddie sighs. "She never got the note that night."
Jake feels bad. "I'm sorry man; I thought your aunt would give her the note."
"I had to leave that night, had I known, I would have chosen her over my career."
"I'm sorry Eduardo, let's get this show started, she's here, are you debuting your new song tonight?"
"Yes, she inspired it."
"She inspires all of your songs." Jake adds.
Yeah, I know, let's get this rolling Jake."
Within 20 minutes Eddie's on stage doing what he does best, performing. Alex watches in awe. Mel's stoked and Loren watches him, he's amazing, she loves his performance, she realizes she will never love anyone the way she loves him. He's the only one in her heart, and that's where he'll stay.
2 hours later, Eddie stops to talk to his fans.
"Thank y'all for coming, I'm about to start a third album, I already have a song ready for it, I'll be giving you a treat tonight, you're the very first ones to hear this song. He turns to where he knows Loren is sitting with Alex
"This song was inspired by someone very special."
"We love you Eddie! " Someone yells from the crowd." He smiles. "I love y'all too!"
"The name of the song is called Electric. I hope you love it as much as I loved writing it."

Mel nudges Loren. "I have a feeling that song is for you."
Loren downcast her look. "I know."
"You're tearing up, how long before you realize its Eddie you belong with?"
"I know; I've known it all along."
"I'm so sorry." Mel says.
"I have Lorie to thank for ruining my life, she separated us."
"Don't let Alex see you crying, he's going to ask questions you can't answer."
Mel tries to comfort her friend. "You know I'm here, I will always be here for you."
"I'm going to need you; I don't know how I will get through this whole thing without you."
Mel knows she has to step up, if Loren isn't going to do it, she knows a way to make sure Loren and Eddie are together, she looks at Loren.
"Just answer me one question and be honest, do you still love him?"
Loren looks at Alex who's smiling watching his dad perform, she looks at Mel once more.
