Aladdin POV, continuing from his last chapter.
The inside of the Royce car was cleaner than Aladdin will ever be. The chairs shined like a polished head a creamy color. It smelled like what the word expensive would smell like. Light colors dimmed the interior and reflected on the edges of the car.
Aladdin and Abu got comfortable real quick. The AC made them both melt in their seats from our fresh and delicious it felt.
"What do they call you, boy?" the man asked.
"Aladdin," He was wondering what this man could possibly want from him.
"Interesting name." The mysterious man said, "I am Jafar, one of the top music producers for Agrabah records." He smiled coyly with his dark brown eyes "I'm sure you've heard of me."
"Uh," Aladdin scratched his hair "Not really."
"Oh but I'm sure you've heard many of the songs I've produced play around the world." Jafar smiled wide "But enough about me, boy. I want to hear about your story from today. Your quite the acrobat, I can tell."
Aladdin's palms started to sweat. He felt the presence of an angel and devil weigh his consciousness. Tell the truth or a lie? "Actually those men weren't some crazy fan of mine," He chuckled "I saw them take a women's necklace so I snatched it back. They were chasing me for it." Aladdin pulled out the beautiful silver necklace with a blue diamond encrusted in the middle.
Jafar's eyes widened. "My, my we found ourselves a hero!" Iago was wrapped around Jafar's hand and growled at the thought of any hero.
"The only hero we need is one to get us that damned diamond!" Iago spoke in Jafar's mind "And I sense he might be the one that's able to get it for us!"
"Yeah," Aladdins chuckled awkwardly. Sometimes a lie is worth the peace it brings. "I was just on my way in hopes to find the lady to return it to her."
"Well, I wouldn't want to stop you from returning the peace," Jafar said cooly "But before you go, I must know, do you want to be a star?"
Aladdin's brows rose and Abu chirped. "What do you mean?"
"A star, boy," Jafars powerful presence was snaking around Aladdin "I have the power to make you wealthy. Rich, famous, and wealthy." Jafar looked out the window "Most people walking down the streets of LA want to be someone. They want the love and fame but only so few souls actually achieve it. Do you want it?"
Of course, Aladdin wanted it. But he didn't need it. Choosing to live on the streets made him so wealthy that a man with the status of Jafar could never understand. "Yes, I do," he said.
"Can you sing? Or play music?" Jafar already knew from Iago that the boy had some kind of talent but he still knew to ask.
"I can sing really well. I play the guitar as well." Aladdin told him then held his breathe. Is this man serious? His palms were sweaty. He sensed his life was changing but he didn't want to get his hopes up.
"I'd have to hear it sometime, but before that," Jafar smiled lightly "I'm having a small gathering at my estate tonight and I'm a bit short staff. Care to help me, boy?"
Jafar made it seem like it's Aladdin who needs to prove he was trustworthy to Jafar when in reality, Jafar was trying to gain the boy's trust. Iago warned him that this Aladdin character spirit is so free that he could disappear without hesitation.
"Sure!" Aladdin smiled " What do I have to do?"
~*~ Aladdin in Hollywood ~*~
"Wow," Aladdin checked himself out in a golden mirror "One minute I'm scraping for food, the next I'm in one of the biggest mansions in LA, serving finger food to Hollywood's elite. Not bad, right Abu?"
Abu was also wearing a suit and tie. He gives Aladdin one of his signature smiles.
Aladdin felt proud wearing a velvet blue suit. It was a different feeling, working. Getting money by providing his service. He wishes he could get used to it but the thought of serving food for money for the rest of his life doesn't seem appealing. He loved the rush of not knowing where dinner was coming from. He loved living in the heart of LA. No rules, no commitments. Just constant adventure.
Azule, the head boss for managing the help and kitchen passed by and glared at Abu. She had a fit about having a monkey near the food and nearly lost her mind trying to have the chimp locked away. Luckily Jafar was called in time to have a negotiation. While serving food, Abu is to be kept away until dinner has passed.
Azule's wordless glare made Aladdin roll his eyes. "C'mon. Abu." He picked up his chimp onto his shoulder. This wasn't the first time people tried to separate Abu from Aladdin. People just don't understand the love between an owner and a pet.
Abu stayed in a small quarter with nothing that is breakable and thankfully, stealable. Abu was a monkey, he couldn't speak like a human but his brain is evolved enough to hear and process his surroundings. Abu personally was happy to stay in a small room full of savory delightful food, AC, and a cozy red couch to rest on. True luxury for him.
"Bye-bye!" Abu chirps as Aladdin closed the door.
Caprese salad on a stick was the food on his silver platter. The gooey mozzarella was grayish from being coated in a sweet balsamic vinegar dressing. The tomato on the stick couldn't be redder if it tried. Only the best food for the best of Hollywood.
Azule didn't have to tell him that the people here were super famous and powerful. Aladdin could tell by the wealth embroiled in every fabric. Designer logos in every corner, shoes with gems and gold, and fabric thick and rich. The women had their hair and make-up crisp to perfect. Their look wasn't a casual good look that Aladdin sees every day, no no, the hair was styled as if these women came from a Vogue photoshoot. There was not a simple hairstyle in sight. Even the men had designs in their hair with an exotic color.
The ballroom itself was worth the cost of three-story home.
The walls were made of solid gold. Creme lines of stone brought balance to the room. Huge paintings with naked women wearing clear veils over their bodies stood center on the wall.
Most of the women declined his food "At my age if I ate cheese I blow up like a balloon!" a paper thing woman exclaimed.
"Cheese upsets my skin," Her friend agreed.
The men in suits with cold whiskey in their hands didn't mind his tray at all and ate what the women did not.
Aladdin was fascinated by the atmosphere. He was sensitive to certain energies and this room was drenched in power, anger, and greed. He felt judgment passed onto him easily. Not that he minded. He eavesdropped in their conversations. The women talked of people while the men talked of wealth and power transfers.
Suddenly, the energy of the room stilled. He followed everyone's view to see that a turquoise goddess has entered the party.
"Wow," Aladdin whispered.
This woman had a beautiful teal dress with golden chains wrapped around her waist. Complimented by golden and turquoise jewelry around her neck and arms. It wasn't just the beauty that sang to Aladdin, but it was the golden aura around her. Now, Aladdin was sensitive to energies, but he rarely saw someone with an actual aura, especially a strong aura like this woman. The aura wrapped around her like the sun, distorting the world around her. He literally saw waves coming off her the way the sun waves reflect off cars on a mid-summer day.
The goddess glanced around the room. When her eyes fell on Aladdin. he suddenly knew that a deeper kind of magic exists in the world.
He felt those waves roll off her into his aura. It was as if the scene around him suddenly melted away, revealing that nothing ever really mattered except the being in front of him that glowed. She held his eyes. Sending pulsing energy straight to his heart.
Jafar's hand landed on her shoulder, stealing her gaze.
The older woman who rejected his offerings earlier was now in front of him. "Well, I'll just have one," She slurred. Her eyes were a bit more droopy as she reached for his last finger food. "Oop, that's the last one!" She finished a swing of her champagne before placing it on his tray and bouncing away.
Aladdin was grateful she finished his tray, now he could grab another tray - this time something women wouldn't mind eating.
His eyes watched the goddess as a crowd surrounds her.
Aladdin could tell by her beauty and influence, she was very famous. But he didn't care about that. He wanted to know her. The human behind the famous name. He also wanted to know why she glowed and why was he drawn so drastically to her.
