The Promise Hollywood Heights

It's meant to be Chapter 19

The sunlight peeked into the room they slept in, the Sun rays awaken Eddie first, he smiles when he sees Loren sound asleep snuggled next to him, feeling her soft skin against his felt right. All he wants to do is look at his beautiful bride, he can't believe they're married.

It's not a dream, she's actually there? He pinches himself; he wants to make sure he isn't dreaming. Nothing can wipe the beautiful night they spend, it was perfect. Being with Loren felt right, he leans in to kiss her. "Good morning, Beautiful."

Loren smiles. "Morning my love, what time is it?"
"Doesn't matter, you're not leaving my side."

"We're staying here all day?" She teases.
"I think it's the better option." He smirks.

"I'm hungry, I hardly ate last night, the wedding was overwhelming." Loren adds.
"I know, I've been pinching myself, we're not dreaming, this is real Loren, we're married."
"I know, I'm so happy; I thought our chances of being together weren't going to be possible." Loren adds.

"I'm grateful to Cam; I don't think I could have given you up."

"I know, I wanted to talk to him, I didn't want to hurt him."

"You were actually going to marry him?" Eddie wonders.

"He has health issues; his sister was worried about him."

"You're amazing Loren, I'm sorry for what my Aunt Lorie."

"I'm sorry too; but, it wasn't your fault." Loren sighs.

"She wasn't supposed to be at the house anymore; she came back and caused us much pain."

Loren caresses his face. "Don't worry about her anymore, she's gone, we're together, forever."

"It's real this time." He pulls her close to him, they kiss, he pulls her back into bed.

A few hours later, Loren and Eddie lay by the beach. He drove into town to get brunch. They're sitting on a blanket over the white soft sand.

"These sandwiches are amazing." Loren says.

"There's a good selection in the basket, they're small, eat all you want."

"I'm always hungry." Loren laughs.

"I remember; you have a hearty appetite."

Loren laughs. "You remember everything."

"I remember our times together; those were the best days."

She remembers the huge bouquet. "Wait, that huge bouquet was from you?"

Eddie leans in to kiss her. "Yes, the moment I knew I was the groom, I arranged to have them delivered."

"You're amazing Eddie." She can't get enough; she leans in to kiss him.

She touches his face. "I remember our times behind the cottage, our first kiss, those memories kept me going."
He holds her hand and kisses it.

"I remembered too, you Loren, are my happiness."

She downcast her look. "I never stopped loving you."

He leans in close enough to peck her nose. "I know, ditto my love."

Loren smiles and blushes. "I'm so happy."

They share another kiss. It's catch-up time for these two, they've been apart too long.

Back at Eddie's…..

Alex isn't happy. "Why did daddy and Loren leave?"

"They want to spend time together, they just got married, daddy told you last night."

"Why couldn't I go?" Alex demands.

Linda smiles. "Because when people get married, they always go alone; to have fun, when you grow up and get married you're going to do the same thing."

"No I won't, I'll take Daddy and Loren with me."

Linda laughs. "Really? I'll remind you when that day comes."

"I want school, Loren isn't here."

"Technically it's August, you're on break young man."

"I feel lonely; I want someone to read to me."

"If you finish your dinner, I'll read to you."

Alex lets out a long loud sigh. "It's not fair; I want to have fun with Loren and Daddy."

"When they get back, Loren is your mommy now, aren't you happy?"

"I am happy, I miss them."

"Ok young man, let's finish eating, then we'll go and read."

Meanwhile…

Nora and Mel are working in the garden. "Loren's very happy!"

"Yes she is, she married her love."

Mel sits quietly for a minute. "Is something wrong?" Nora asks.

Mel looks at Nora, she wants to keep quiet about talking to Cam, she has to tell Nora what she did.

"I have to tell you something."

The look on Mel's face worries Nora. "What is it? Did something happen?"

"No not really? What I did gave Loren her happiness."

"Melissa Sanders, spill it, what did you do?"

She laughs. "Don't worry, I went and spoke to Cam."

"You did? About Loren and Eddie?"

"Yes, he had to know, Loren wasn't going to be happy, she belonged with Eddie."

Nora looks at Mel. "Thank you Melissa, I thought of doing that, I wasn't sure how to approach him."

"Believe me, it wasn't easy, I was scared at first, I had to do something, I couldn't let Loren marry him, she loves Eddie, this is where she belongs, Cam was very understanding, I'm glad he walked away."

"Will you tell Loren?"

"I don't know, maybe, I'm sure not sure."

"I don't think she'll be upset; she owes you her happiness."

"I know, they're meant to be, I'm happy for them."

Nora hugs Mel. "Thank you, what you did was the best gift you could have given Loren."

Mel feels better, now that Nora knows, she's sure Loren will be happy about her decision too.

A few days later…

"You're making me blush."

"All I want to do is look at you?"

She looks away. "I'm yours forever Eddie, I love you."

"I love you too."

She holds his face. "We're in this forever, are you ready?"

"You aren't getting rid of me!" He picks her up. "I'll be touring for weeks; I can't wait for everyone to meet my beautiful wife."

She bites her lower lip. "I am ready to meet your fans."

Loren wraps her arms around his neck, she initiates the kiss. She can't get enough of him; deep down she feels she's in a dream.

He sits next to her and holds her hand. "I need to know, were you going to marry Cam?"

"I was nervous, when I walking down the aisle I felt like running in the opposite direction, I didn't love him and I didn't want to hurt him."

"He told me something about a heart condition, but, he couldn't allow you to marry him if you loved me."

"He went to see you."

"Yes, he wanted to talk to me, I didn't know what to expect, he was really nice about the whole thing."

Loren sighs. "I'm grateful to him; he's a good friend."

"How long before you realized I was waiting for you, instead of Cam?"

Loren giggles. "I was so nervous I wasn't even paying attention, I kept thinking what to say because I couldn't marry him, I was trying to think of something nice to say until my mom got my attention."

"Your expression was priceless! I hope the photographer caught it, then it hit me, what if you didn't love me enough to marry me?"

Loren bites her lower lip. "Let me convince you."

He brings her closer to him. "We could arrange it; you realize we haven't left this bungalow right?"

"I wish we didn't have to leave it at all." He leans in to kiss her.

At Eddie's….

Linda's putting Alex to bed. He insists on a book every night. "Loren reads better than you Aunt Linda."

"Oh really? Why is that?"

"She makes the stories funny."

"Does she tickle you?" She tickles his tummy.

"No, she's reads the story and makes me laugh." (giggles were heard from Alex)

"Ok young man, get some sleep, Daddy and Loren will be returning soon and you have to rest well, you have a mommy now and she's going to need your help."

"Why?" Alex wonders.

"It's your job to show her where everything is in this big house."

"I can help her?"

"Yes, but, you have to get to bed ok?"

She tucks him in and closes the door behind her, she leans on the door, she knows Loren's going to be the perfect mommy, even though Eddie would never tell her, she's moving back to her own Condo and help out her daughter, she's going to be a grandma. Mindy's going to need her.

She goes downstairs to prepare some tea before she heads to bed. Maybe a movie would for this late evening, Nora is going to spend the next two days with Alex, she smiles when she realizes he's her step-grandson, she'll have to get use to that. Linda smiles; she knows Loren and Nora will play a huge part in his life.

She prepares her tea, she's walks back to the living room, the doorbell rings; Linda looks at her watch, it's late, who it could be at this hour.

Maybe it's Mindy and her husband, or Nora. She opens the door, her eyes widen.

"What are you doing here?"

Who could that possibly be?
