The woman walked inside, she scanned the room, and looks at Linda.
"Why are you shocked to see me? I live in the area." Lorie snaps
"You were out of the country." Linda snaps back!
"I've returned dear sister." She walks further into the house. "This is a beautiful home."
"You have the nerve the show up, do you remember what you did to Eddie and Loren?"
"It really doesn't matter, I heard he married her, he's an idiot!"
"Why Lorie? Why don't you like Loren? She's an amazing young lady."
Lorie rolls her eyes. "Evidently, you've forgotten everything?"
"Forgotten what? You hurt your own nephew, why?"
Lorie glares at Linda. "You forgot who took care of you and Katy after our parents died?"
"Of course not; you'd never let us forget, what does that have to do with all of this?"
"You're blind, and stupid Linda, I was 21, I was left to care for you and Katie, I had no life after that!"
"Aunt Marilyn wanted to care for us, but, you insisted, how is it our fault?"
"A year later I met Max, I fell in love with him, I thought he felt the same, by the time I realized it, he only had eyes for Katy, she was 18, it was too late for me, he'd never notice me, I cried myself to sleep every night, wondering what was wrong with me, a year later he marries her, I felt betrayed."
"That wasn't their fault, he loved Katy, he didn't know how you felt."
"She took the man meant for me, then she had the son that was supposed my son!"
Linda furrows her eye. "That's why you wanted to separate Eddie and Loren?"
"He was just like Max, he only had eyes for Loren, the same old story again, Katy had something to offer, Loren had nothing, a broken home, Eddie was stupid just like Max."
Linda's in shock, she feels sick, her sister is crazy!
"You know what, you're crazier than I thought, you better leave, if Eddie sees you, he's won't be happy."
"I tried to help, obviously he didn't learn, he's just like Max, blinded by beauty."
Linda walks open the door. "Please leave, and don't come back!"
"What happened to the mansion?"
"It was sold, that was Eddie's decision as sole owner of the property, and none of your business."
"That was supposed to be my home, I assume Eddie owns this home?"
"I told you to leave Lorie, you're not welcomed here, Eddie will be back from his honeymoon and he'll tell you the same thing."
"I'm leaving, don't worry, I wanted to congratulate Loren, she won, she was as smart as Katy."
Linda sighs. "I don't understand what the problem is, Eddie has always loved Loren, now she's his wife, live with that and." Lorie interrupts her.
"This is how you show your gratitude?"
Linda's upset, there's tension in the room; she can't believe what Lorie is saying.
"I've always been grateful for everything you did, we never stopped you from finding your own happiness Lorie, you set your eyes on Max, he was in love with Katy, she was his life, and together they built an amazing career, they were genuinely happy, they had their son Eddie, whom they loved very much."
Lorie lets out a sarcastic laugh. "He loves Loren? I doubt it, he married that model."
"What matters now is Loren."
"What about his son Alex?"
"His life consists of Loren and his son Alex, they were meant to be, no matter how hard you tried to break them apart."
Linda points to the door. "He loves Loren, we love Loren, but you."
Lorie walks towards the door. "He deserves better."
"Leave them alone!" Linda's voice is harsh.
Lorie leaves without saying another word, she closes the door. She leans against it, closing her eyes; finally, she knows why her sister is so bitter.
The week flew by for Loren and Eddie, they return from their honeymoon. The limo drops them off in front of their home. The driver unloads their luggage; Eddie stops Loren from walking inside. He does the sweetest thing; he carries her inside. "Eddie!"
Loren blushes, they kiss. The door suddenly opens.
"Daddy and Loren you're home!" Alex is very excited.
Eddie and Loren turn to a smiling Alex. "Hey big guy, we're back."
He walks in, and puts Loren down, she can't wait to kiss Alex.
Loren kneels down to his eye level. "I need your hugs."
"Loren, Aunt Linda says you're my mommy."
Loren hugs him. "Yes sweetie, she's right, I'm your mommy."
"I always told daddy to marry you and he did."
Loren looks at Eddie; Linda walks in. "Hey lovebirds, you're home."
Eddie hugs her. "Yes, thanks for staying with Alex."
"Anytime, I'm packed and ready to go."
"You don't have to leave." Loren tells her.
She smiles. "I know, Mindy is having her baby soon, she's going to need my help, and you and Eddie are starting your life together with Alex."
Loren hugs her. "Thank you Linda."
"I've sent my things to my Condo, I'll leave around noon." She turns to Eddie. "Lorie showed up."
"What did she want?" He furrows his eyes.
"It's a long story Eddie, I fill you in later."
Loren walks towards them. "She's back in the area?"
"Don't worry Babe, she's not allowed here, I'll make sure of that."
The thought of Lorie back in town, scares Loren; she knows that woman doesn't like her. She walks away; Eddie hugs her from behind. "Hey, I'm here, we're together, she won't bother you."
She turns to face him. "She separated us Eddie, she was successful."
"You're my wife now, I'll call Jake to have security set up in our home, if she shows up, they will know what to do."
Loren hugs him. "I never want to be away from you."
He smiles. "You won't Babe."
Linda leaves, and meets with Nora for lunch, she tells her about her conversation with Lorie.
"Oh my God Linda, she's sick!"
"I know, that's why she's so bitter."
"Katy use to wonder why she was so hateful after she and Max married."
"Max was a friend, he never led her on, I know because the moment Max met Katy, we all knew it was love at first sight."
Nora smiles. "Like Eddie and Loren."
"Exactly why she dislikes Loren so much, she relived Max and Katy's love story all over again, Eddie isn't taking any chances, he's setting security in their home."
"He'll be leaving on tour with Loren and Alex soon; I think that'll keep her away." Nora's relieved.
"He'll be busy in Texas for weeks"
"With Loren and Alex by his side, time will fly." Linda adds.
"He loves my girl so much, she's finally happy." Nora says.
"It's long overdue; they should've been together a long time ago."
Eddie's ready to tour, he's headed to his Jet with Loren and Alex, the crew loads all of their belongings, they board, off to Dallas, Texas.
When they land, thousands of fans wait to greet Eddie, he waves, they scream his name, "We love you Eddie!" Loren encourages him to go and sign some autographs, and take pictures with his fans. She waits by the limo with Alex.
"Why do they scream for daddy?" Alex wonders.
"They love your Dad and his music."
"Are girls going to scream for me too?" Alex wonders.
Loren laughs, and looks at him. "Are you going to be into music too?"
"I want to do movies, and sing too." He adds with a huge smile.
Eddie signs autographs, the TV gossip reporters begin their questions.
"How is marriage the second time around?"
"Is the honeymoon over?"
"Does Alex like Loren?"
He smiles, and waves once more, he doesn't bother to answer their questions, he walks back to Loren and Alex.
Loren notices he's upset. "Everything ok?"
"They ask the dumbest questions."
The driver opens the door; they're driven to the hotel. Upon their arrival they are taken to the penthouse suite.
Alex is excited. "Look at all of the windows daddy."
"You can see everything." Eddie tells him.
Eddie stops Loren. "Babe." He kisses her. "This is for you."
He hands her a small box. "You've got to stop doing this, you're spoiling me."
"You have no idea how happy I am with you by my side, as my wife; it's our 4thmonth wedding anniversary gift."
Loren blushes. "Thanks, I don't need gifts. " She opens to find a beautiful charm bracelet. "It's beautiful Eddie."
She leans in to kiss him. "I love you."
Loren hangs from his neck. "We're together forever."
She leans in to kiss him. Alex walks towards them. "Are you guys going to kiss all the time?"
Eddie smiles. "Yes, we're in love, we will kiss all of the time."
"Come on Alex, let's get your things in your room. Did you bring all of your books?"
"I brought all of my favorite books." He adds.
"Let's put them in your room, by your bed."
Alex drags his book bag and follows Loren.
"Let's place them in that book case next to your bed, put your toys inside the basket."
Alex begins to put everything away; Loren puts his clothes away. "Great job Alex, it looks nice and neat."
"Are you going to give me lessons?"
"Yes, that's not going to stop, you'll have school when we travel with daddy."
"Can we go to the pool later?"
"Yes, we're going to have fun while we're here, we'll never have any dull moments."
"I'm done putting my books and toys away, what's next?"
Loren smiles, she gets up from putting his clothes away and she feels dizzy, she tries to hold the bed frame, and tries to sit.
"Alex." He turns towards her. "I'm here." He adds.
"I don't feel too well."
Before Alex can reach her, she tries to get up and falls to the floor.
"What's wrong Loren?"
He runs out of the room. "Daddy!"
Eddie's walking in with lunch. "What's wrong?"
"Loren on the floor."
Eddie drops the bags, and runs to Alex's room. "Loren, get me my phone!"
