Loren's Pregnant Chapter 21
Eddie finds Loren lying on the floor; he gently places her on Alex's bed. "Loren babe, you ok?" He takes out his phone to make a call, she wakes up. "What happened?"
"You fainted, are you ok?"
She tries to sit; and holds her head. "I don't know, I felt dizzy and everything went black."
He looks at Alex. "Go get a glass of water."
He turns his attention to Loren. "I'm calling the Dr. there's one on call here."
"No, it's ok, I'm probably hungry."
He smiles. "I have lunch; can you get up?"
He helps Loren walk to the table. Alex walks towards Loren, with a glass of water in his hand. "Here Loren."
"Thank you sweetie" She takes a sip.
Eddie makes sure she's sitting and takes the contents of the food out. They enjoy their food; he doesn't take his eyes off of Loren. "I want you to see a Dr."
"I'm fine." She says.
"You scared me." She leans in and pecks his nose. "You're the sweetest."
"I'm calling Jake to make sure you get an appointment with a Dr. in Dallas."
"If I feel like dizzy again, I will."
He smiles. "Thanks Babe."
Eddie starts to perform that weekend, his shows are sold out, he'll be in the area for two more weeks. By the time they fly to Houston, Mel joins Loren for a few weeks.
Eddie's at rehearsals, Alex is taking a nap. "How does it feel to travel with your Eddie your hubby?"
"It's amazing, listen I need to see a Dr."
Mel looks at her best friend. "Why? What's wrong?"
"When we got to Dallas I fainted, I've been fine, but, I've been feeling queasy during the day and I haven't gotten my period."
"Are you serious?"
"Yes, I'm serious." Loren sighs.
"You seemed worried, is it because you might be pregnant?"
"We've been married close to 5 months, we haven't discussed a baby, I don't know how Eddie will feel."
"Are you kidding me? He's going to freak, he loves you girl, and I'm sure having a baby will complete his life."
"I know; we haven't talked about."
"Aren't you taking or using anything?"
Loren sighs. "Not really, everything happened so fast."
"You were going to marry Cam; didn't you plan on using something?"
"I didn't even think about it."
"How about a getting a home pregnancy test?"
"I'd rather be safe and see a Dr."
"Let's Google for an ob-gyn in the area, and we'll take it from there."
Mel finds several in the area. "Here's a Dr. Sands, let's make an appointment."
The appointment is scheduled for the following day.
When they arrive Loren registers and sits with Mel until she's called. Alex is with them.
"Stay here with Mel, I need to see a Dr."
"Why are we at the Dr.?"
"I don't feel too well." Loren tells him.
The nurse calls. "Loren Duran."
She gets up and follows her. "Mrs. Duran, what brings you here today?"
"I think I might be pregnant." Loren says.
"Change into this gown, I'll need a urine specimen." She hands her a cup.
Loren looks at the cup and looks at the nurse. "In here?"
"Yes, there's the restroom, the Dr. will be here soon."
Loren walks into the restroom, after she changes into a gown, the Dr. walks into the room, after a few questions, she asks the nurse to draw some blood.
"I need to examine you." The nurse shows Dr. Sands the results.
The Dr. does an examination which confirms Loren's is pregnant. "You're six weeks along Mrs. Duran."
Loren's eyes tear. "Really?"
The Dr. smiles. "Yes, you're due around October; beautiful autumn weather."
"I know you're on tour with your husband, I will fax this info to your Dr. in LA, here's my card with my information."
"You may get dressed, you'll need to see your Doctor in a month."
"Thanks Dr. Sands."
Loren gets dressed and leaves the office. Mel looks at her and gives her a hopeful smile. She whispers. "Everything ok?"
Loren looks at her. "Yes, we'll talk at the hotel."
Alex grabs his book. "Are you ok?"
"Yes Alex, I am."
"When I go to the Dr. It's because I'm sick."
Loren holds his hand. "I know, I needed a check-up today."
"Can we go and eat?"
Mel laughs. "That makes two of us."
Alex smiles. "Let's go!"
"I'm suddenly craving BBQ chicken." Loren says.
Mel's eyes widen. "Omg Loren, are you?"
Loren puts her finger on her lips, signaling Mel to keep it down. "Shhh, not here."
They enjoy their lunch; they arrive a few hours later. Alex takes a nap and Loren sits out in the balcony with a glass of lemonade.
"Now can we talk?" Mel asks.
"Yes, I don't want Alex to find before Eddie."
"OMG Lo, you're having a baby."
"Yes, he or she will arrive next October."
"I can't wait to see Eddie's reaction."
"I'm hope he'll be happy."
"He's going to be a very happy." Mel assures her.
"I hope so; we haven't talked about having a baby yet."
"He's going to be thrilled, you know how much he loves you, always has, will he be home soon?"
"He texted me, he's almost done with rehearsals, he should be on his way soon."
Mel can't stop smiling. "I'm so excited for you two."
Meanwhile at the coliseum….
"Eduardo, you have two shows this weekend, first one starts at 4 and the last one at 8, same times for Sunday."
"Can we talk Jake?"
"Yeah sure, what's up?"
"I don't want to tour for a while, I want to be home with Loren and Alex."
"We could do Europe later."
"What do you mean Europe?"
"I was starting to make arrangements for it, but we can wait."
"Yes, please wait, I don't know why, but, I don't want to tour."
"I got it; I got a call for a sitcom."
"I don't think so, my music is more than enough for now, I have Loren back in my life, and I don't want anything get in the way."
Jake smiles. "I love the inspiration that's given you, I'm all for it, we can work on your 4th album."
"That will be more than enough for now."
"The next city is San Antonio, then we head home."
Eddie places the strap on his shoulder. "I'll see you Saturday."
Meanwhile…
Loren made sure Alex took his bath. "Do you want Cookies?"
"With chocolate milk please."
Mel smiles. "I love how polite you are."
He smiles. "Thanks Mel."
Loren smiles. "He's a great boy." She gets his milk.
She hands Alex the glass of milk. "Thank you."
"You're welcome." He takes a sip of his milk and looks at Loren. "Can I ask you something?"
"Sure sweetie, what is it?"
"I want to tell you I love you, I always wanted you to marry my daddy."
Mel's eyes fill with tears; Loren is touched by his words. "You're very sweet Alex, I love you too."
"Can I call you mommy?"
Loren gasps. "Omg Alex, of course you can."
She hugs him and starts to cry. "Don't cry."
"You made me very happy Alex."
He hugs her back. "Don't cry mommy."
Eddie walks in and catches Loren hugging and crying with Alex, and Mel is wiping her tears.
"What's going on? Why is everyone crying?"
Loren looks at Eddie. "Alex called me mommy."
Eddie hugs them. "He told me he wanted too."
She sighs heavily. "I love you both."
"We love you too, what's new?"
Alex jumps ahead. "Mommy went to the Dr. today, she said she didn't feel well."
Eddie looks at Loren. "Why? What's wrong?" She bites her lower lip and smiles.
