Eddie cautiously sits Loren on his lap. "Are you still dizzy?"
"A little, and nauseas."
Eddie's expression is too cute. "What did the Dr. say?"
Loren smiles, she sighs and looks at Mel who pretends to stay busy with cookies and milk.
"She said I'll feel better soon."
There's concern in Eddie's voice. "Why are you feeling this way? Did she tell you?"
She bites her lower lip and plays with her hair, she looks into Eddie's beautiful brown eyes. "We're having a baby."
Eddie eyes widen, he's shocked. "A baby?"
Loren blushes. "I know we haven't talked about it." Before she can say anything else, Eddie picks her up. "Are you serious? A baby?"
"Yes, the Dr. confirmed it."
His lips are instantly on hers, he holds Loren and pulls her closer to him. Alex smiles. "Daddy, why are you so happy?"
He holds Loren's hand and look at him. "Alex, you're going to be a big brother."
Alex looks at Loren. "Really mommy?"
Loren brings him into a hug. "Yes, you're going to have a very big job young man, you're going to be a big brother."
He looks towards Mel. "Did you hear Mel? I'm going to be a big brother."
Mel hugs them. "Mr. Duran, you're going to be a daddy again."
"Best news today, I just told Jake I'm not touring for a while, looks like I did it just in time, I want to be here when our baby arrives."
"We're due in October."
Eddie caresses her face. "Love you babe."
He leans in to kiss her; she wraps her arms around his neck allowing their kiss to deepen.
Mel holds Alex's hand and they walk away, she can tell the two lovebirds need privacy.
A few hours later, Loren calls her mom, and Aunt Linda to share the news of the future Duran baby.
A month later, Loren flies in to see Dr. Sands, it'll be her last time; she'll be heading home soon, she'll see her regular Dr. in L.A. Eddie's with her when they hear the heartbeat of their baby for the first time, Loren starts to cry and squeezes his hand, he's thrilled. That's his baby growing inside the woman he loves; he can't wait to meet his son or daughter.
"When you see the Dr. in L.A you'll have you're first ultrasound." She looks at Eddie. "Don't miss that Mr. Duran."
"Call me Eddie, there's no way I'd miss it."
The weeks flew by, Eddie completed his 4 months of touring Texas. They return to L.A, Loren's has a baby bump, she checks her progress in the full length mirror of their Master bedroom; Eddie loves watching her caress her growing belly. He wraps his arms around his beautiful bride from behind.
"You're look more beautiful each day."
"I'm going to get huge you know." She teases.
"I don't care, that's our baby, I can't wait to meet her or him."
"We could find out in a month, Alex keeps asking if we're having a brother or sister."
Eddie leans in. "We'll find out, I'm sure he's hoping for a brother."
Loren giggles, Eddie kisses her neck. "Surprisingly, he's wants a sister."
"Really? He wants a baby sister?"
"He feels important with the role of a big brother, I'm so proud of him."
"After a few more kids, he'll lose interest." Eddie adds with a chuckle.
Loren's surprised. "A few more kids?"
Eddie pulls Loren onto his lap. "Yes, I figure 2 more kids will suffice."
"Can we have this one first? Then we'll see if we want more?" Loren tells him.
"I hated being an only child, I'm sure you did too, I want a house full of kids."
Loren leans on Eddie, the thought of having little Duran's running around the house makes her feel happy, this is the life she always imagined with Eddie, and their kids.
A week later, they see the obstetrician that will deliver Loren's baby, Dr. Mitchell sends Loren for her first ultrasound. She's excited, and talks about it all morning, never a dull moment with Loren, Eddie cherishes every moment with her.
The Technician begins the ultrasound; she pours the jelly like substance on her tummy.
His eyes widen when the tech points out the baby and the beating heart, she measures it, Loren's crying, she watches her growing baby alive on the screen.
"I'll provide some pictures and a CD for you to take home. The Dr. will probably want another ultrasound closer to your 20th week, if you want to know the gender of the baby, you'll know by then."
Loren wipes tears, Eddie pecks on the lips and whispers. "I love you, love our baby."
She looks into his brown eyes; that makes her heart skip a beat. "I love you more."
A few weeks later, Loren takes Alex for a dental check-up, Eddie's working on some songs when Linda stops by.
"Make sure you put those in your safe."
He looks through them. "I will, have you heard from Aunt Lorie?"
"No, I told her to stay away from us, she's not well."
He gives his Aunt a puzzled look. "What do you mean not well?"
"I know Loren isn't here, but, the day she stopped by I found out why she hated Loren so much."
Eddie places the papers on his desk and turns his attention on his Aunt. "What did she say?"
"She met Max before he met your mom, apparently she fell in love with him, when he married Katy and not her, her world went downhill."
"What?"
"Yes, she said you were supposed to be her son, you deserved the best and that's why Loren wasn't good enough for you."
"Are you kidding me?"
"Eddie my sister is sick; she thought she was protecting you by keeping Loren away from you."
"She's not allowed anywhere near this house."
"I know, I told her to leave, I know Max never lead her on, he was sweet to her, but his heart belonged to Katy, she had this idea that your mom took him away from her."
Eddie sighs. "No wonder she's so bitter, and mean to mom."
"She still holds grudges, please be careful, she needs psychiatric help."
"Don't worry, Loren never leaves the house alone, security drove her to the dentist with Alex."
"Do you think Lorie will try something?"
"I don't know, if I see her she's not getting anywhere near this house, if I need to get a restraining order, I will."
"Maybe you should, just in case; she had a scary look."
"We'll keep our eyes open, Security will continue to come around, she's not coming anywhere near this house."
Linda hugs her nephew. "I'm glad sweetie; you can't take any chances with Loren's pregnancy."
"I know, I can't wait, I'm so excited Aunt Linda."
Linda smiles. "I'm not trying to sound indifferent, but your eyes light up with this pregnancy."
"Don't get me wrong, I was excited when Chloe was going to have Alex, my heart wasn't in it with her, honestly I didn't love her, but I have Alex, he's my world."
"I know, and Loren loves him very much."
Eddie smiles. "I have my son to thank for bringing Loren back into my life, I don't think our paths would've crossed if it wasn't for him."
"What's meant to be will happen, you and Loren were meant to be, Lorie tried very hard to separate the two of you, it didn't work, she's back in your life and having your baby."
Eddie smiles, his life is perfect, he's complete.
Meanwhile Loren and Alex are leaving the dentist office. "Could we go to the park for just a little while mommy?"
"We're supposed to have lunch with Daddy, I'll text him, and tell him we're stopping there for an hour, you did very well with the dentist, I think you play for a little while at the park."
The driver opens the door to the escalade and drives to the park.
Alex runs towards the swings. Loren watches him, he switches from the swings to the slide, and anything he can get his hands on.
Loren's happy, she caresses her belly. This isn't a dram, it's real. In a few weeks they'll go for another ultrasound, the baby is moving and kicking, she can't wait to meet their baby.
Alex runs towards Loren. "Will you sit in the swing with me?"
"No Alex, remember mommy is having a baby, I can't sit in them right now."
"When are we going to see the baby growing inside of you?"
"It's called an ultrasound, you will be able to see the baby and we'll be able to see if it's a boy or girl."
Alex eyes light up in excitement. "I want a baby sister."
"What if it's another boy like you?"
"It's going to be a girl; I want a sister."
Loren's curious, why a girl. "Why do you a girl?"
"I want her to be like you mommy, I love you, I want a little sister to love and take care off."
Loren feels her heart melting with the sound of his words. "Aww sweetie, you're an amazing son, you're going to be a great big brother too."
"I know; I will teach her everything I know."
"Oh you will?"
"Yes, her name will be Isabella."
"Oh really, you have a name too?"
They keep talking and laughing; Loren looks at her watch and holds Alex's hand, they walk back to the Escalade.
Not too far from where Loren was sitting watching Alex, a woman wearing dark sun glasses has been watching them. She kept a close eye on the two and followed them until they got into the Escalade and drove away.
She removes her glasses. Takes a sip of the cup she's holding in her hand, she crushes it and tosses it, she's furious, there has to be an easier way.
It ends here today, who is that lady?
