its crazy time at work, and the overtime is trying to kill me.
I don't own any character from My Hero Academia, they belong to Kōhei Horikoshi. But Grim and Dev are mine.
The next morning Class 1-A get an announcement over the speakers in the classroom, "Class 1-A do your normal program and come and find me at Ground Beta".
"What was that all about?" Kaminari and Kirishima look at each other confused. "Not sure, but it sounds like we got no normal school and all training today. I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not"
"Well, considering who our teacher is, what do you think? Shoto weighs in on the conversation. "Oh crap I'm dead" Kaminari started to sweat out of nervousness.
Close at the door, a similar conversation is taking place, "I wonder what we are gonna do today. Is it another training exercise or maybe some preparation for the festival?" Uraraka turns to Ilda and Asui while asking. "Well isn't training a preparation in itself for the festival?" Asui is as insightful as ever.
"Come on let's get started with our training and find out" Ilda ushered the class out and onward to the locker rooms.
When they got out they could see they have gotten a chaperon, Aiko the tiger was snoozing out on the training ground waiting for them. Aiko got up and stretched before trotting over to Koda, she growled something to him.
"What did she say, man?" Kirishima got up behind the duo. "Ehm… She was delivering a message from Ms. Grim."
"And?"
"You got 15 min to finish the program, latecomers will become chew toys" the tiger gave a grin, showing all her sharp teeth to the class. That got them started on their warmup rounds, and she trotted behind them making them keep up the pace. Next, it was the 5x20 pushups part, Aiko kept a keen watch on the slow ones, but by the time they got to the bunny jumps they have caught up to the rest of the class. It's only the pull-ups left.
Bakugo, Midoriya and Shoto were already done with theirs, by the time Mineta and Jiro got started on theirs. Aiko was watching them closely, looking forward to some playing time. Jiro finished her last one and jog after the rest of the class that was headed for Ground Beta. Mineta was missing the last receptions when Aiko grab him from the clothe neck and run after the others, catching up to them in no time. "I'm too young to die" Mineta cried while dangling from Aiko's mouth.
The group finally got to the Ground Beta's gate and found 3 people waiting on them. Aizawa and Ms. Grim, and she had a tall guy having his arm around her shoulder. From what they could see, he was dressed kinda similar to Grim. Boarder shorts, sneakers and hoodie all in black with the hint of silver chains decorating their hoodies. The hood was up over his head so they couldn't see his features so well.
"You kids finally made it, now gather around to catch your breath while I explain what we are gonna do today." Grim turned to the class as they approached. "And I see someone got themselves a new toy" Aiko was dangling Mineta proud from her mouth.
"So you will probably recognize today's practice, but it's an important one and I wanna see what you have learned from last time." Grim's explanation was barely heard by the class, most of them were distracted by the new addition to the teachers.
"Girls, stop ogling my partner here!" Grim was slightly irritated.
"That's your partner!?"
"Yes, this is my partner Dev"
Dev had removed his hoodie, and you could see that his clothes weren't the only thing black. His hair was black; his eyes were so dark they could be black too. His face looked like it hardened early, and he had a scar over his right eye, showing that he has seen battles. "Say hi Dev"
"Brats, I'm Devil. Don't fucking piss me off." He went back to talking with Aizawa. "Who are you calling brats, fucking old man?"
Bakugo was down on the ground and subdued before anyone could blink. "I'll watch what I fucking say if I was you brat." As suddenly as it happened Dev was back talking to Aizawa.
"Fucking teleporters" Bakugo tried catching his breath when a hand came into his sight. Midoriya was looking straight at the teachers, but his hand was in his sight. He was getting ready to push it away when his hand moved on its own grabbing the outstretched hand. 'What the …' He looked over to Grim, and just saw that smirk. 'Fuck'
"You will be in the same pair as last time, but this time the pair you were against will join you. We are gonna play 'Steal that Bomb'. So Shortstack, Newton, Prez and Blondie, come up with a plan to take back that bomb because you are the first group up. The rest find your group and get up with a plan, Aizawa will see you in the surveillance room."
"You are not joining us to watch Ms. Grim?" Ashido asked before going with Aizawa and the others. "No, I and Dev are playing villains" the evil smirk was back "And Mineta is set for his 5 min chew time" She runs off to the others with the news, "Guys, guys guess who the villains are!"
"Don't tell me, it's them, isn't it? Kaminari already sounded defeated. "We are never getting that bomb back"
"If you already think that you have lost, then there is no point in being here or becoming a hero" Aizawa in his wisdom as he passes them on his way.
Inside the surveillance room, they find Recovery Girl, "So Grim thinks they will damage the students that much huh?"
"It was on her mind, yes, but it has also been some time since I watched Grim and Devil fight. Remember Ground Alpha?" Recovery Girl chuckled; Aizawa just shakes his head and focused on the screens.
"What happened to Ground Alpha? I can't remember seeing that on-campus ribbit." General curiosity made Asui ask, but the rest also wanted to know. "Maybe they tell you what happened one day."
"They?" Aizawa motioned to the monitors, where the 'villains' were preparing to defend their bomb. "Oooohhh"
Grim and Dev was already ready for the practice, while the group was debating hard on a plan to attack. "Let's blast our way inside and grab that damn bomb"
"We can't do that Kacchan, we don't know their defenses or if they are using their quirks"
"You got something on your mind Midoriya?" Ilda was trying to come up with a plan himself, but as Midoriya said, they didn't know enough.
"We need to learn more about the place where they are hiding and how we can use that to our advantage" They agreed that Midoriya, Ilda and Uraraka was gonna sneak inside and find out the security and the layout of the place, while Bakugo was keeping a lookout outside of the building.
"So Ilda, if we get into more trouble than we can handle, grab Uraraka and get out of here" Midoriya was getting into hero mode.
"And you, Midoriya?"
"I'll be fine; I distract them so you two can get out safely."
The trio crept slowly around in the villain's lair, turning every corner carefully and alert. What they didn't know was that Dev was sneaking right behind them. He knocked out Ilda without a sound; and dragged his body back to the main room. He ties the kid up in case he woke up. He looks out the window seeing Grim in full battle with Bakugo. Not worried about his partner, he goes after the remaining two.
Outside Grim is halfway toying with Bakugo and the fight. She jumps from his explosions, only to return a kick or a punch. Bakugo is getting more frustrated from not hitting his target, but so far his temper hasn't gone away with him. "Is that all you got wannabe hero" she taunts him and gets in another jab to his right arm, hard enough that he can't feel his arm anymore. "Dammit!"
He fires a bunch of explosions after Grim, as she runs around him in circles. After the biggest expulsions just one hand can manage, he feels a chop to his neck and everything goes black.
When he comes to it again, he is next to still KO'ed Ilda and Uraraka in the main room, tied up. "Well, looks who woke up" Dev crouches down to his captives. "Grim went after your little boyfriend, don't worry he will be here very soon" Dev had an evil smirk on his own.
"I don't have a fucking boyfriend!"
"Keep lying to yourself and you will lose all that you hold dear. I almost did" Dev gets up as Grim and a knocked out Midoriya enters the room. "What the hell are you talking about?"
"We tell you later today and bring Shortstack with you. You two have special training with us later"
A loud alarm goes off signaling that the heroes were all captured.
The remaining groups didn't do much better than the first one. Many were captured, one managed to set off all the traps that were set up. Not saying a name, Aoyama, making the entire group caught in a net.
After the last group was looked over by Recovery Girl, it was time to summarize how it went.
"So no serious injuries and every building are still whole. I call that a small win." Aizawa started "However when you are partner up with someone you never leave them. When there are two of you, it would be harder to sneak up on you. But that can also backfire when you are too many on. Like Midoriya, Uraraka and Ilda walking on a line. Getting the back person is not much of a problem since your attention is on the front."
"You kids have a lot to learn about being a hero. You have to be alert for every sound and movement around you. That's why Dev and I caught you so easily; you were too focused on what was around the next corner that you didn't use your ears or your senses. But it is good to have a backup plan like Midoriya made with Ilda"
"All this will come with experience and training, but never too early to make your kids learn it." Aizawa finished up the practice and sent the kids off to the locker rooms.
"I think we should partner up Blondie and Shortstack in the future" Both Aizawa and Grim looked over to Dev by the comment. "They know each other, their weaknesses and strength"
"I agree with you Dev. I wanna see how far they will go if they partner up as we did."
"Let's hope they don't do all that stupid stuff you guys did when you were here," Aizawa commented as he and Recovery Girl walked out.
Dev grabbed Grim's arm and pushed her up against the wall "What stupid stuff?" he grins and kissed her hard, nibbling on her lip making her moan. "Mmmm, yeah what stupid stuff?" Grim just smiled back at her partner. And she teleported them home so they could have their wicked fun in private.
In the back of the school, a pair was hiding from the rest of their fellow students. "You are sure that your arm is okay Kacchan?" Midoriya stroked the once damaged arm. "Yeah I'm sure, just fucking kiss me Nerd" Midoriya gave him a soft kiss on the lips, but Bakugo wouldn't have anything soft. So he pushed Midoriya up against the school wall so he could kiss his Deku harder and deeper. 'My Deku'
