"What the hell, JJ? Why'd you drag me out of bed? You're supposed to be happy for me, you know, not sulking like a fucking 5 year old." Elle snarled, ripping her hand away from JJ who was dragging her out of the dorm buildings. "What's going on with you?" She stopped, standing her ground as JJ whipped around to stare at her.
"We have to get groceries, Elle. I'm going to need help with that. Now, come on, I drove here." The blonde reached for Elle's hand, but the brunette jumped back, simply just staring at her. "What are YOU doing?" Her roommate simply just shook her head, looking back towards the building they had just stepped out of.
"I don't get it. Are you jealous?"
JJ scoffed, folding her arms across her chest. "Yeah, I'm jealous. Jealous of your little dyke relationship." The blonde rolled her eyes, not comprehending the evil bite of her words on Elle's heart. "Come on, please. Can we just go? We need chicken, cereal, and fries, and…" her words slowly faded as she noticed the strong glare coming from the opposing girl.
Elle bit her lip to prevent the tears spilling from her eyes. "JJ. You have to stop saying that word. So what we are gay? So what Emily is gay? I thought you accepted gay people. Are you disgusted? Because I'll move out, is that what you want? Is that what you fucking want?" Elle moved forward, shoving JJ back with the force of her palms.
The blonde stared at her in shock, biting down on her tongue as she came up with what to say. She knew she had messed up using such a word, it was becoming a bad habit of hers. Of course she wasn't homophobic, she had plenty of gay friends. She loved gay people. She just wasn't gay herself. "I'm sorry, El." She concluded, staring at her dear friend.
Elle couldn't bring herself to respond as she shook her head, turning around and storming back into the building, leaving JJ alone. As if on a timer, rain began to pour from the sky in the early morning light. JJ stood in the rain, alone once again.
JJ wasn't used to this. She was used to laying in bed with her… perfect boyfriend and across the hall would be her perfect best friend, and she would call her perfect parents, and everything was fine. And now, it has all changed. Her parents separated and didn't call her anymore, Will was.. Will, and she just ruined her relationship with Elle. She had potential to be friends with Emily too, but she destroyed that.
She turned back to look up at the sky, watching as the clouds formed closer together as rain poured more heavily from them. She fucking hated the rain. It was depressing, dull, and ruined the beauty of the world around them. Or perhaps, that was her perception of it.
Up above, Emily sat in the window watching as the rain fell on the world around her. She hadn't noticed JJ standing in the middle of the sidewalk, and was too focused on the way the wind swayed through the trees, drenching everything in a layer of cooling water. Emily adored the rain. She could thank growing up in rainy countries for that, but it was more than that. Rain represented a change, a start over, a new chance. A chance to change the way you treat the world.
Emily lifted the cup of coffee up to her lips, taking a long gulp of it. The best feeling in the world was sitting in her window sill with her feet propped up against the wall, a mug of a coffee, and rain covering the world outside.
As soon as Emily had set her cup of coffee, the door flew open. She didn't look immediately, expecting it to be Spencer who was going to tell her all about the story she read. However, the person who entered soon ran over to her, engulfed in a hug. Looking up in surprise, she noted the curly haired girl wrapping around her tightly, climbing into her lap. She smiled slightly, returning the hug. The two sat in silence for a moment. "Hey, what're you doing so quickly? I thought you had to go shopping.' Elle took a moment to respond, unsure of what to say. How do you say your best friend, the girl your girlfriend already hates, insulted your relationship out of jealousy and whatever else Elle couldn't figure out.
Instead of responding, Elle reached her head up from the crook of Emily's shoulder, and sank their lips together.
Instantly, Emily fell into her touch and reciprocated the kiss, molding their tongues together. Emily brought her hand down from Elle's cheek, and allowed it to crawl down to play with the collar of the other girl's shirt. While Emily had played with Elle the night before, she still was unsure of how to handle this. They had known each other not even 2 days, yet they were already dating and about to hook up?
Any thoughts were erased from Emily's mind as she felt a hand cupping her breast. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad. They had potential to be the real deal, maybe Emily would even introduce her to the Ambassador, her mother. She deepened the kiss, pulling Elle even closer, if possible. She reached up to tangle her hands in the other girl's head, when suddenly, Elle pulled away and stood up. Emily looked at the other in surprise, her face a bit flushed and her lips slightly swollen. She was perplexed as to why they were not continuing.
Elle stuck out her hand to her girlfriend, who took it instantly, and pulled her over to Emily's bed, throwing the two of them on it. Without speaking a word, the two of them collided into one another, hands grabbing and tongues moving in all of the places the two of them never deemed possible. They spent hours upon hours detailing every inch of each other's bodies, fighting any insecurities popping up.
"I love you."

"Hey, Spence." JJ called from across the hall, her hair soaking from the rain, dripping slowly down her body. A few people around her cast curious glances, but no one stopped to question whether or not the girl was OK. The brunette boy spun around from his spot near Derek for his eyes to land on JJ.
"Wow, are you OK? You're pretty wet." He chuckled, before JJ turned bright red. Although he didn't mean anything by the statement, it still made her blush due to any ulterior meaning most people might regard the statement as.
"I'm… fine, yeah. I'm fine. I just… I was outside for…" JJ stuttered, burying her face in her hands. "Do you mind getting groceries with me? I'm kind of in dire need.." She confirmed, looking back up at the younger boy, who was still taller than her. JJ wasn't very short, she was pretty average at 5"7. Spencer, however, almost towered over her at 6"1. It was funny considering their age difference.
The brunette boy turned to glance at Derek, who nodded. "No problem, I'll catch you later, pretty boy." The jock turned on his ankle and made his way down to the hall, heading to whatever class he had next. The brunette turned back to JJ with a smile and nodded.
"Let's go, Jayje. We can head back to my room for a moment if you want a towel and maybe a fresh change of clothes? If you don't want to borrow Emily's, you can borrow mine." He nodded, looping an arm around the blonde's shoulders. JJ let herself sink into him, burying herself in the scent of the younger boy. It was calming, relaxing, much different to his unique roommate. Emily's scent was fiery, bold, strong. The two of them made their way out of the class hall and ran across campus to their dorms, trying to prevent getting wet as much as possible.
They soon arrived at his dorm, and Spencer pushed the door open with ease, sliding into the room. JJ followed behind him, scurrying like a little animal who was following her guardian. Spencer shut the door behind them, and took his shoes off, setting them on the shoe rack near the door. JJ followed suit, and the two of them walked into the main room of the dorm.
"Shit! What the hell, Spence?" Emily shouted, sitting up in the bed with the blanket covering up her naked top. Her face was flushed and her hair was all over the place, showing signs of what she was previously doing before the two came in. Elle was nowhere to be seen for a moment, so Spencer questioned if Emily had just been… he didn't want to think about it. Shaking his head, he started laughing.
"What the hell, Em? I thought we agreed that if there was a sock on the door I wouldn't come in. Well, guess what, no socks!" He looked over at the blonde, and noticed an anger he had never seen captivated so strongly in another human. Her eyebrows were pinched together, her lip curled up in disgust, her breathing picking up. He was confused as to why she was quite so angry. Did she maybe have feelings for Elle, and was jealous? "Anyway, we just um…" He laughed, barely able to contain himself. "I just need to get some clothes and a towel for Jayje."
Coincidentally as Spencer made his way over to the bathroom inside their room, Elle stepped out of the doorway, completely naked. JJ turned to the brunette in shock, her eyes almost popping out of her skull. Of course she had seen Elle naked before, they were two girls living in a college dorm- they did the stupidest of dares, pranks, and were just plain comfortable with another. However, JJ was seeing her in a new light. She was seeing the flushed version of her, a few scratch marks crawling down her spine and even a couple dark marks going down her neck. An anger bubbled in her stomach, but she couldn't bring herself to look away from the two girls. In a way, they were beautiful in this raw, but uncomfortable lighting.
Elle immediately jumped back into the bathroom, slamming the door shut. "Oh shit, I'm so sorry!" She giggled, locking the door as she searched for a towel to wrap around her body. After a moment, she found one and exited the bathroom, looking at the three others. Emily was staring at her with a sly smirk, her fist curling around the blanket she was holding tightly to her body. She found the whole situation humorous, but also she was a bit embarrassed.
She was mostly embarrassed because she could almost see the smoke pouring out of JJ's ears. She was fuming. She pushed past Elle into the bathroom, grabbed a towel, and began drying her hair. "Thank you guys. How about next time, you like, I don't know, don't do that? Elle, I'm disappointed in you." Her brunette roommate stared at her, her eyes squinting ever so slightly. She didn't respond, she was afraid she might hurt the girl if she even dared to move.
"What did you need, JJ?" Emily cut in, reaching over to grab her girlfriend's hand, while simultaneously gripping onto the blanket preventing everyone from getting a great show of her boobs. JJ whipped around to look at the raven haired girl, clenching her fists.
"This has nothing to do with you, Prentiss." The girl opposing JJ rolled her eyes, before deciding her course of action. Quickly, she pulled herself up from the bed and stood in front of the blonde, pushing her face as close to JJ as she could without connecting their touch.
She reached up and released the blanket, allowing it to pool around her feet. Elle watched in awe as her girlfriend stood so confident, while Spencer was staring blankly at the interaction occurring between the two of them. JJ, however, as much as she tried not to, averted her gaze to the mounds in front of her. They sat limply, begging to be touched, grabbed… JJ instantly glanced away, her face slowly growing bright red. "This has everything to do with me. Now, whatever you were here for, get it and go." She turned around to the floor and picked up her clothing items, snapping her bra back on her body. JJ stood in silence, unable to move as she stared at Emily. "I'm serious, JJ, go. Fuck." Emily rolled her eyes, sitting on her bed as she yanked her skinny jeans on.
The blonde froze as she looked at Spencer, who cocked his head curiously at her. "Never mind, I don't need your help. Thanks anyway, Spence." She ran out of the room, grabbing her shoes and flying out the door. As soon as the door slammed shut, the three of them broke out into laughter. Elle grabbed her own clothing, pulling it back on her body in the bathroom and came back, laying next to Emily on the bed. Spencer smiled softly at the two.
"Jennifer might kill you guys next time. I swear she looked like she was going to have a heart attack from seeing you both naked. I don't understand, women aren't that fascinating, no offense. Do straight women also find such fascination with the same sex?" Spencer rambled, sitting at his desk in front of his computer. "But Elle," he turned back to face the curly haired girl. Elle turned over to look at him with a smile. "Don't abandon her."

Emily sat in her Physics II class, rolling a pen between her middle and ring finger, barely listening to the rambling teacher. Emily was highly intelligent, but unable to focus, especially when the teachers would not. Stop. talking. She sighed softly, looking back on her empty page of notes, comparing them to those of her classmates.
She didn't belong in this class. She wanted nothing to do with Physics, and god forbid, she did not want anything to do with the boy tapping his pen on the desk in front of her. She shut her notebook and slipped her pen into her backpack, standing up from her desk in the back of the room. Slowly, she made her way out of the class, ignoring the lingering stares at the back of her head from her classmates.
She wasn't one to normally skip, she preferred staying out of trouble. Her younger self wouldn't hold that same statement, but she had matured over the years and had only gotten in trouble at the university once: she wore a provocative tee that said, "FUCK COPS." and just so coinciendtally that day, a cop was sitting in on her class.
However, today she couldn't handle it anymore. She knew she wouldn't get in trouble, professors don't give a shit whether or not you went to class because either way, they get your money. Fortunately for her, it wasn't her money being wasted, it was her mother's. She thought about this with a sly smile as she slipped down the hallways, her boots squeaking against the hard floors.
Slipping her hand into her pocket, she pulled out her cellphone and began to scroll through it as she walked. She clicked on Instagram, and immediately went to her own profile as she began to examine her own posts. Her most recent pictures were ones of her and Spencer before the party two days ago- they looked good, real good. Emily had on a pair of khaki pants, a light blue crop top, and a dark blue flannel. Her hair was pinned back and she wore a big smile as she crouched below Spencer, hugging his leg. The boy looked good as well, with a pair of white cargo pants and a rainbow sweater. He had his hair spiked up, and was holding the camera facing the mirror.
If you didn't know them, you would think they were an attractive couple.
It's what JJ used to think, at least. She used to watch them in the hallway, Emily would dance around the younger boy, holding his hand. They were cute together.
JJ clicked on Emily's profile as well, examining the same picture Emily currently was. She was angry, hateful that Emily would do such a thing as she did, how dare she undress in front of her? It was disgusting, frankly. Nonetheless, she couldn't stop thinking about her. She had to be jealous. She wasn't nearly as pretty as Emily was, of course Elle liked her. Perhaps she was jealous that Elle liked Emily. Perhaps JJ liked Elle.
Suddenly, she was overwhelmed by the need to sneeze, and went to click out of the profile when she did, not realizing immediately she had liked the post she was viewing. She cleared her throat, blinking before looking back at her phone and it slowly dawned upon her as the red heart popped up below Emily's image. "Oh god. NO. NO. NO. NO." She jumped onto her phone, unliking it. "Oh God. Please don't show up in her notifications. I don't even follow her." She buried her face in the nearest pillow and swallowed the urge to scream.
On the other side, Emily smirked once she saw the notification of JJ liking her photo pop up at the top of her screen. She assumed it was an accident, and she felt pure joy just thinking about such a thing. She couldn't believe JJ would be so stupid. She fought the smile on her face before shoving her phone back in her pocket and continuing to her next class, unable to rip her mind away from the annoying blonde.
