Chapter Sixteen – The Ascension

Sukko came too in a nice warm bed, in a room he immediately recognised. He had no idea how long he'd been there. He was now very used to waking up here, and was still surprised that they still cared enough to bring him back here. The Chaos Sorcery knocking out the Sorcerer was such a regular occurrence, that the Restoration now thought nothing of it. They just brought Sukko to their Sick Bay, and let him sleep it off.

'Welcome to my life.' He sighed, figuring that he'd actually spent more of it unconscious then conscious. But despite the shocking Magic he'd just done on Dr. Starline, they had brought him here. He reckoned that he brother very much had something to do with it, despite everything. As the darkness cleared, he overheard, what seemed like a child's voice squealing, though it sounded unusually deep.

"I wanna go potty!" He cried, "I wanna go potty!" He sniffed, crying again. Sukko opened his eyes, rubbed them and sat up in bed. He stared at the sight that greeted him. Sat on the floor, ahead of him, was Dr. Starline. He was no longer wearing his usual attire, it had been replaced by a simple t-shirt and shorts, with plain socks and slippers, and no glasses. He was sucking his thumb and crying. He was surrounded by toys. Sukko smirked, it was a very amusing sight for someone of Dr. Starline's origins, and the Blue Hedgehog couldn't help himself but snigger. He caught the attention of nearby nurse.

"Em. You might want to deal with him, before he does something you'll regret!" He giggled. The nurse stopped, looking confused, and with another squeal for the potty, she grabbed the Platypus and promptly disappeared with him. Sukko's complete wipe and rewrite of Dr. Starline mind could have easily killed him. It was entirely dependant on Dr. Starline mind accepting the new programming. If he rejected it, he would have died. That was why Sukko had gone with a mind of something far simply then what Dr. Starline began with, to increase the chances of acceptance. By the fact that the Platypus, had been playing at the foot of his bed, before needed the potty, showed it to have been successful. Sukko was left still giggling when a voice by the door, immediately changed his tone. It growled.

"Well, I hope your satisfied with yourself." He spat. Sonic stood at the entrance of the Sick Bay with every single leading member of the Restoration surrounding him. Word had gotten out extremely quickly that the Sorcerer was awake. Sukko growled, pointing at his brother.

"Don't." He spat back at him. "I did what I needed to." He defended. There was murmurings around the room. Sonic was shocked.

"What!" He gasped. "Turn Dr. Starline into a two year boy." He squealed. "A child." He added. Sukko smirked, with a slight giggle. It was very inappropriate, but he couldn't help himself.

"Actually, I was aiming for a two year girl." He sniggered. "But, close enough." He smirked, sarcastically. The ball of blue light he throw at Dr. Starline was a sphere of pure Telepathy. But Sonic was fuming.

"This isn't funny, Sukko." He grilled. Sukko looked back at his brother and immediately changed his tone again. He wholeheartedly agreed.

"No, it isn't." He spat. "But what would you have had me do." He sighed. Getting up of the bed, onto his feet, causing everyone to back away slightly. "Dr. Starline is not Dr. Eggman. He doesn't give up three-quarters of the way through a project, to never see it through. Dr. Starline, would have stopped at nothing, and I mean nothing, until he got his hands on me. If I'd had let him go, it would have been a matter of time before he'd dug up the information from the Eggnet about the Magic Slayers. Found out how incredibly prone Chaos Sorcery is to corruption." He paused, walking his way up to his brother. He continued. "He was very capable of rebuilding Eggman's capsule machine. Then what truly sly and sinister tactics would he have done to get me into that machine, as he can see straight through you. And then, fully corrupted, when yours truly starts killing everyone, would you have really done what was needed...?" He sneered, on purposely leaving the sentence to hang. He wafted his hand to the side and a illusionary bright blue dagger appeared in it. It then points the handle end at Sonic and the point straight at his chest. He fixes Sonic with an unmoving stare. There was stalemate, as the two brothers looked at each other. Then Sonic gulped, looking down. Killing a bad guy is one thing, a brother is quite another, no matter how evil he'd become. Sonic would have sacrificed anything to try and save him, even though Sukko knew that by that point, he would have been beyond the point of no return, his brother still wouldn't have given up, but the world would fallen as a result. Sukko smirked.

"I didn't think so." He sighed, and with another swish of the hand, the dagger disappearing in an instant. "You willingness to never give up, is what makes you, you, the Hero of Mobius, but it would been your downfall against me. So I saved you from all that pain." He heaved. Sonic was sniffing, visibly upset, but knew that Sukko was exactly right. To take out the bad guy before he truly turned the worst evil, was at this time, the right thing to do. They missed that opportunity with Eggman a long time ago, as most of the Restoration, including the twins, were just children at the time. They simply didn't know. Sonic sighed.

"Are you sure he won't come back." He asked, indicating as Dr. Starline was brought back to his blanket on the floor. He sat there, sucking his thumb, happily playing with his toys. Sukko heaved.

"Actually it was Tails who gave me the idea." He grinned. The Fox stared in horror, as the Blue Hedgehog turned to him. Sukko continued. "When you partially reprogrammed those Replicas. You can reprogram robots. I realised I could reprogram people. I knew that Sonikku would never forgiven me if I killed him, so I found an alternative. His mind has been completely wiped and new false memories implanted. His mind will remain in that state now for the rest of his life. I almost cost me mine, to do it." He admitted. "I've never push myself that far before and I'd do it again if it meant doing the right thing." He spat. He looked around the room. The sense of fear in there was driving him crazy. They were all scared of him. He'd had enough. "Look, hate me if you like, fear me, I don't care anymore. I am right about this one!" He spat. He didn't want their sympathy, or even their acceptance, he just wanted to do right thing. He'd only ever wanted to do the right thing. He stood next to his brother, rubbing his eyes. Sonic was about the say something but Sukko cut across him. Despite everything that had happened, it seemed at Sukko's old Intelligence system was still in full working order, as it triggered his Telepathy in a big way. Suddenly, his eyes glowed bright blue.

"Tangle!" He spat, and instantly disappeared. He ran out of the Sick Bay, down a corridor to a private room on the left. He burst through the door, closely followed by Sonic and the others. Tangle was lying on the bed, with Jewel one side of her and a senior medical Doctor the other, a Bear. She was screaming and crying in agony.

"Sukko!" Tangle squealed upon seeing the Sorcerer, but the Doctor looked extremely worried.

"She's in labour, but her baby has not turned. It's breech, and will be born tail first. But Tangle's baby needs turning, to be born head first. Otherwise, the infant will suffocate, the umbilical cord getting cut off. She needs specialist care, and that can only be found at the maternity unit at Central City's County General Hospital." He explained. But he then panicked as he that turned to Sonic. "Even with Super-Speed, you'd never get her there in time, she needs to deliver now, and the baby would die on route, possible her as well." He stammered. Sukko growled.

"Can you do it here?" He asked. The Doctor looked scared. "Yes, but I can't see what I'm doing, even with the ultrasound. We don't have the correct facilities here. One wrong move could kill the infant." He panted. Sukko gritted her teeth. That baby had cost him dearly, and he wasn't going to loose it now. The Life-For-Life cast, though powerful, only created life, it did not guarantee it's survival. Then he had an idea. He could see in ways, no other on Mobius could, and immediately moved to the opposite side of the Tangle's bed to the Doctor, Jewel moving out of the way.

Nobody objected, Sukko had a plan and they all knew how much he cared for Tangle. He would never hurt her. Even after everything that had happened. His eyes glowed and the blue vapour of luminescent hue traveled now his arms and into hands. He placed his hands on Tangle's enormous bump, who squealed in pain, and looked inside. Sukko gulped. Its a mass of tail and umbilical cord in there. He wasn't that surprised the infant had such a hugely long tail, considering who the mother was. He could barely see anything past it. He looked back to the Doctor, still glowing blue, who had backed away in fear. Sukko could feel it, but now was not the time.

"Doctor." He pleaded. "Help me, guide me, I don't know what I'm looking at. Please, your the expert." He begged. The Doctor looked back at him. A baby's life was in danger, potentially the mother's too, time to swallow his fear. He'd heard of Sukko's incredible power, and knew that, here and now, this was Tangle's only chance. Shaking, he placed his hands over Sukko's on Tangle's bump, and very quickly the blue luminescent hue travels up the Doctor's arms and soon his eyes too were glowing. The Doctor was absolutely astonished.

It wasn't the case of he could 'see', it was more a case of what he could 'feel', as Sukko's Magic, in the form of powerful and yet incredibly delicate Telekinesis, allowed the Doctor a full three-hundred-and-sixty view of inside Tangle's pregnancy. He grabbed Sukko's wrists and moved his hands. He examined every inch of the bump. Sukko let him, in fact, he gave the Doctor complete control, something he noticed. The Doctor quickly separated out the umbilical cord and tail, which to Sukko, looked identical, and began manipulating the baby, very delicately with the Telekinesis, and began to turn it.

Sukko marvelled in the high-level of skill involved, and even though Tangle screamed, she did her best as she knew they were saving her baby. Over the course of the next ten minutes, the Doctor as quickly as he could turned the baby round, until it was head down, and with a clunk, the head slipped into the birth canal, and the bump finally dropping. Now ready for birth, labour progressed rapidly and within fifteen minutes, Tangle was full dilated and ready to push.

The Doctor had let go of Sukko, and had moved to in between Tangle's legs to deliver the baby, ordering him to use his Magic to help her with the contractions. Sukko looked up and noticed that they were still surrounded people and with a simple wave of the hand, surrounded Tangle in thick blue smoke, giving the Lemur back her dignity.

With Sukko still with his hands on her bump, and the Doctor ready to deliver the baby, Tangle pushed, but it wasn't that painful anymore. Sukko, was using his Magic the reduce the pain, and boy, was it working. But it was still hard work. With all her effort, she pushed and soon the head was clear. The Doctor having to remove the umbilical cord from around the baby's neck. Not that surprising really. Then with one final enormous push, the baby was out (minus a huge chuck of the tail), and within seconds was crying, to masses of cheering the other side of the wall of blue smoke. A boy.

Despite Tangle's relatively poor heath due to being held by Dr. Starline, the baby was perfectly heathy, just a little bruised having been forcibly turned. Tangle herself would fully recover given time. The Doctor then cut the umbilical cord, clamped it, and wrapped the baby in a blanket. He then laid it between Tangle legs delivered the rest of the very long tail, before giving the baby to Tangle, who was delighted beyond believe.

The Doctor then delivered the placenta, and then cleaned her up. There was some blood, but nothing beyond the norm. After the baby was turned, it was a textbook delivery, no further complications. It just happened very fast. Again, this can happen, and was normal. Sukko had released Tangle as soon as the baby was born and had stood back to give the Doctor space to work. He watched the him and again marvelled at his skill.

Once the Doctor was done, and Tangle was covered up, Sukko removed the wall of blue smoke to immediately be surrounded by people. He again stood back, and let them congratulate Tangle. He slowly slide along the wall, towards the door. This was Tangle moment, not his, and wanted very much out of the way. He didn't leave, but wanted to be in the background. The Doctor caught him, after he finished cleaning himself up.

"Wait!" He hollowed, running over and grabbing Sukko by the hand. He then grabbed his other hand and turned them over. Now it was his turn to marvel. He looked down at them, amazed. They looked normal, but the Doctor knew otherwise.

"That's some power you have there." He praised. Sukko went slightly red. "Have you considered a career in medicine?" He asked. "You could save a lot of lives with these." He said, indicating his hands, and thus his Magic. "You saved two lives today." He added, incredible proud.

Sukko gulped. He'd never been praised so highly as a Sorcerer before and it was a odd feeling. He knew he had the power to achieve feats like this, he'd just never had the confidence, or the opportunity. People's fear of the Magic had always gotten in the way. As for a career in medicine, it was something he had considered. But with Eggman and being a Sorcerer and thus having to hide all the time, hadn't dominated his life so much, Sukko had actually wanted to be a Doctor. Sukko sighed, smiling

"Your very good yourself." He said back at the Doctor, who just shrugged it off.

"Not really. It's just a reflection of my very good training I had in Central City. The best medical school on Mobius." He said, proudly. "Despite that, I've always been a bit of a rebel. So when the call went out for a Doctor for the Restoration, I immediately jumped at it." He giggled and then marvelled again at Sukko. It wasn't the Magic itself that got to the Doctor, it was Sukko's superb level of control over it was what astonished him. Powerful yet extremely delicate, delicate enough to save lives. Sukko found himself going red again, and could sense in the Doctor that he would have liked to see more Magic.

Sukko was more then happy to oblige, not actually that tired, but what? He looked back at Tangle, who was happily talking to her friends. The baby bundle purring, fast asleep in one arm. As he watched, he felt that there was something missing, and soon he realised what. He looked around, nothing. He took a deep breath. He was about to do something he never done before, and genuinely no idea if it would work. He held his hands in front of him, about ten inches apart, the palms facing inwards. Then he let the Magical blue luminescent vapour travel down is arms, and surrounded by hue, he concentrated the Magic between his hands, from deep in his gut. Pushing hard, soon a extremely bright ball of blue light appeared between his hands and suddenly Sukko was forced to grit his teeth as the drain hit him. Fighting it with every ounce of his being, he pushed more Magic between his hands until the ball of blue light began to take a form.

Silence had suddenly appeared in the room as Sukko did this, but not in fear, but in pure fascination. Everybody watched as the ball of light, began to grow arms and legs, a body, head and muzzle, and cute round ears. It had little black eyes, soft bright blue fur and a squishy tummy. It was in a seated position and about twelve inched tall. Sukko pushed past the immense drain to finish his creation, only to have someone catch him and and the teddy bear once he was done. It was Sonic.

The teddy bear wasn't perfect. The arms and legs slightly out of proportion and the eyes weren't level, but consider Sukko had just created it from thin air, it was impressive. Sonic had been staring at the teddy bear, stunned, but because he was holding up his brother who was on the verge of collapse again, couldn't give it to it's intended recipient. He gave it to the Doctor, who Sukko told who it was for. When Tangle realised the teddy bear was for her, her reaction was pure gold. She to had been watching Sukko in fascination just like everyone else. She out her free hand to towards the Doctor.

"Whoa! That's for me." She giggled. Then grabbing for the teddy bear. "Gimme, gimme, gimme!" She squealed, and immediately cuddled it to death, in absolute joy. Several people laughed, and Sukko was relieved. Tangle's baby had a teddy bear toy. Now the trio were complete. Sukko was resting on Sonic's shoulder, who just about had the strength to hold him up. (He really wasn't built for this. Sonic was delicate, and light weight and perfectly for speed. He had no Super-Strength at all.) Sonic still stunned at his brother, at both his power and skill, as well as his generosity. He sighed, speaking down the Psychic Link.

{Hey?} He asked. {I didn't know you could Conjure.} He exclaimed. Sukko smirked in response. He was very tired, the drain drifting him in and out of consciousness.

{Neither did I!} He admitted to this brother's astonishment, and then he suddenly remembered something, and reached up and bopped Sonic on the nose. He frowned.

{Hey!} He squealed, confused. Sukko giggled.

{Tag!} He grinned and before Sonic could answer back, Sukko was out cold, asleep in his shoulder. Sonic cuddled his brother, closing his eyes, a very deep smile on his face.

About a week later, Sukko had awoken in the Sick Bay again, and having been released, was standing at his favourite spot in the Restoration, the balcony. He stood there so often that it had simply come to be known as 'Sukko's Balcony'. He was Invisible. He was not in the mood for any attention today. He was deep in thought. Thinking about Tangle and her baby, and more specificity the Doctor who treated her. He looked down at his hands. "You could save a lot of lives with these." He had said. Sukko churned over it over in his head. To use his Magic to Heal. He'd done it before, a couple of times. He'd regularly healed himself and his brother over the years but never anyone else. To become the Doctor he'd wanted to be as well as the Sorcerer. In other words, do both. Nothing thrilled him more. But would Mobius let him. He suspected not, plus they had superb Doctors of their own, perhaps maybe elsewhere might. Then he thought back to what the Wisps had said.

But thinking of Wisps, he suddenly heard of the buzzing of a Wispon being pointed at someone whom they objected to. He instantly recognised it the sound and turned around. The weapon looked like no Wispon he'd seen before, and to his surprise, it was being pointed at him. Therefore he wasn't surprised the Wisps were objecting. It looked like a Variable Wispon. It was umbrella-shaped. The bottom of it is hooked to allow users to grip it properly. Along the light grey neck of the weapon are two rounded white, black, and light blue studs. Very noticeably near the end of the Wispon is a large rounded light blue, black, and white piece which had an open segment. The mouth piece is quite long and grey in colour, with a light blue end.

The user of the weapon was stood in the shadows, across a corridor from the balcony, and almost completely blocked from view, except he could see a cat-like ornate mask scope, which is cream, dark grey and light grey in colour. Three holes are seen at the right side of the mask and a blue eye on the left side. Whoever this person was caught Sukko's attention. The fact that they were pointing a gun at him, meant that they could see through his Invisibility. Sukko was seriously impressed. No many could do that, and he had deep respect for all of them, namely Shadow and his brother.

Now very curious, Sukko was keen to find out who his assailant was. He narrowed his eyes, and they glowed bright blue, as he dived into their mind. Immediately, Sukko learned his was a Wolf, and to his surprise, that he was actually a she. She groaned and winced, under the strain, growling under her voice so quietly, that Sukko barely heard it.

"Get out of my head!" She spat. But Sukko smirked.

'But you attacked me first, by pointing that gun at me.' He growled back inside her head.

Suddenly Jewel was passing by, and as she flew past, recognised the defensive groans of something Sukko wasn't supposed be doing. She looked around, but couldn't see him. This was not unusual. She took a deep breath.

"Sukko." She hollowed. "I thought we agreed. Telepathy in the Restoration was to only be used in an emergency." She spat. Sukko sighed, and immediately let his victim go. He had indeed agreed to that, some time ago, and truthfully, there were better ways of dealing the situation, then reaching for the most controversial of his Chaos Sorcery casts. Sukko's Telepathy was not well liked. Hence it's partial ban. Sukko only agreed if it put more people at ease with him, which it did. His other casts, like his Psionic Energy Manipulations, Disintegration, Force-field Generation, Illusions, Invisibility, Telekinesis, Conjuring, Healing, and Flight were much more accepted so long as he stayed out of people's heads. Sukko considered that was fair enough.

Jewel looked around at who Sukko had been manipulating. She'd had vanished, lowering her weapon. But Sukko could sense she was still hiding in the shadows, like him behind his Invisibility. A face off between two stealth experts. Jewel was still hovering between them, looking to the shadows, herself. She heaved.

"Please forgive our resident Telepath." She hissed. "Sometimes he won't keep his brain to himself!" She growled. Sukko gritted his teeth. That was going a little to far and he immediately revealed himself to the unimpressed Beetle, who'd turned around. He was just about to defend himself, when he was suddenly surrounded by Wisps who seemed to have exploded from the point in the shadows where Jewel had just been looking. They quickly cuddled him in earnest, and Sukko thought they may have mistaken him for the wrong Blue Hedgehog. But he quickly learned when they spoke to him, that that wasn't the case. He looked around. Where did they all come from? Usually Wispons only contain one Wisp, not six.

The owner of the weapon walked out into the light, absolutely stunned staring at Sukko. The female Wolf had brown skin and biscotti fur. She had thick black eyelashes and cloudy white fur around her eyes that resemble a mask. Her eyes are cadet blue, although they are often closed to the point of squinting. She wore light grey eyeshadow and had a long, bushy tail which ends in several tufts of fur sticking out in various directions. She had long pointed ears and quite long hair that she keeps tied at the back in a ponytail with a black hair tie, save for a long, thick hair bang that covers her right eye. Her pointed cheeks are a little fluffy. Her fangs protrude from her mouth which is often in a natural frown. Whisper wore a cream coloured tube top, light grey leggings, and a dark grey cloak, in which she keeps six Wisp canisters. The cloak had black and dark grey pockets seen on the shoulders

Noticing her, Jewel whirled round and squealed.

"Whisper!" He said, delighted. Sukko raised an eyebrow.

"You know each other?" He asked the Beetle. Jewel nodded franticly.

"Sure. She is Tangle's friend." She giggled to Sukko's surprise. How could a quiet stealth expert be friends with someone as bouncy as Tangle? He smirked. Then again, what about him and his brother? They still didn't understand why they were personality wise so different despite being born identical. As if to prove a point, the Blue Blur himself showed, running on adrenaline levels so high, he physically could't stand still, super hyperactive, yet again.

"Sukko!" He panted. "Do you remember the thing, with the thing, on the thing, doing the thing?" He asked, very excitedly. Jewel immediately giggled, and Sukko facepalms, running his hand through his quills. Then as cool as a cucumber, as if to prove their differences, he replied completely numb-plus. He was very sarcastic.

"Define 'thing'?" He smirked, making Jewel giggle even more. Sukko was then bombarded with a hugely lengthy explanation straight down the Psychic Link, which ended with Sukko Magically producing a map and sending his brother to some forsaken place that was only a hundred miles away. Suddenly, Sonic vanished, in a cloud of dust, to Sukko's utter frustration.

"The other left!" He called, with even more sarcasm, and to yet more giggling. Blue Blur immediately came back and ran the other way.

"Hey!" He grinned. "I knew that. Thank you." He added, and vanished again, this time going the right way. Jewel rolled his eyes.

"How would he cope without you?" She asked affectionately. This caused Sukko to stare. He sighed.

"With Sonikku's sense of direction sometimes, not very well." He added but it struck a cord with him. It had been something he'd been thinking about a lot lately.

Whisper was still staring. Unbeknown to everyone, Whisper had not been seen, because she not long come out of hospital. Eighteen months ago, she been in a battle with Eggman alone, and the Human had gotten the better of her and had knocked her out unconscious injured. She then found herself in some backwater hospital with a very good Doctor who successfully nursed her back to health, but didn't know who to contact during her coma. With the arrival of Sukko at the Restoration, he'd changed everything, and Whisper was simply forgotten.

She was at the Restoration because she'd heard the rumour that Tangle just had a baby. Considering she knew of Tangle misfortune of being born baron, there was no way that was true. But after what she'd just seen, she didn't know what to think. She raised her Wispon at Sukko, even though it wouldn't do anything as the Wisps were still flying around him, spat very defensively. She didn't believe in Magic.

"What sorcery is this?" She growled, still unconvinced. Jewel stared at her. She gulped.

"Oh, you never met..." She said, pointing to Sukko. She sighed, looking at the Sorcerer. "This is going to take some explaining." She added, and she ushered them both towards the Sick Bay, talking the whole way. Whisper stared at Sukko, who said nothing, as they walked. He let the Beetle explain. It was a lot of information to take in for the Wolf and soon they had made it to the Sick Bay where Tangle was still being treated and getting baby advice. When Whisper and Tangle's eye met, all was forgiven and the Wolf instantly fell in love with the baby. Tangle appeared to be struggling with a nappy change, but Whisper immediately took over, getting the job done in minutes. She had experience, but having had no children, she help raised a friend's, years ago. Jewel too also pitched in and helped. Sukko silently backed away and slide towards to door, but not before he was caught. Tangle looked up

"Sukko. Please. Don't go." She begged. Sukko then sidled up the end of Tangle's bed and leaned against it. He smiled.

"You ladies have got this covered." He said, looking proudly at them all. "You don't need me anymore." He added, still his calm and quiet self. Jewel looked up, shocked.

"Your leaving?" She asked, horrified. The others stared. Sukko took a deep breath. This was what had been bugging him for so long. The Wisps from Whisper's Wispon surrounded him again. He looked at them. Soon it would be his time. He looked back at the girls. He nodded. Tangle immediately began to cry. Sukko rolled his eyes and sat on the end of her bed.

"Not permanently, you silly billy." He giggled, sarcastically. This was not death. "I'm leaving because I'm done here. There are many more people out there who need my help." He said, pointing to the roof, as if to the stars. "This is my chance to do something more." He added. Tangle nodded but still cried. Sukko smiled and held out a hand, and with a flick of the wrist, bright blue luminescent hue exploded out of it, his eyes glowing, producing a beautiful solid royal blue rose. He smirked. He felt the drain, but he had developed a definite knack for this Conjuring business. Then with a second swish of the other hand, Sukko's appearance changed to old favourite disguise he used to use. The one the girls originally met him as. Arthur. The now dark green Hedgehog with his upturned quills and single black stripe down the centre of his head, smiled, especially to a surprised Whisper, who was still getting her head around the idea that Sukko was a real Sorcerer. He gave the rose the Tangle, who took it.

"You'll be fine." He smiled. That was true. Tangle was level headed enough to make this work. She nodded. Jewel flied up to him for an enormous hug. His two favourites girls in the world, he was going to miss them.

Suddenly the Bear senior Doctor appeared at the door.

"I think you'd better go outside." He said, looking at the Wisps. They all stared. Sukko knew why, as he got up and turned back into his old self. He could feel them, and as Whisper's Wisps grabbed the Blue Hedgehog to steer him outside, the Wolf ran after them, leaving Jewel and Tangle behind. Friends forever. What an impact Sukko had made on their lives, changing it hopefully for the better. They had changed his life by trusting him when he believed no one else would. He had come a long way since he first met them, now a stronger, better, more confident Hedgehog, then the super-shy guy they first met. Would he see them again? With Chaos Sorcery, especially recently, anything was possible, if your were willing to try. The Conjuring certainly proved that.

Sukko found himself being lead through empty corridors and rooms until he was at the Restoration's Loading Bay and outside. The sight that greeted him astonished him. The sky above their heads was filled with Wisps. Thousands of them. Every colour, every shape. All those who had stayed to help with the war effort. But with the war won, it was time to go. They were happily milling around, but appeared to be lingering around for something. A Sonic Boom announced the arrival of someone who immediately disappeared underneath a huge pile of them, being hugged. It took some time to get the Wisps off Sonic. He too was amazed at the sheer quantity of them. They last time he saw this many was when he originally rescued them. Tails walked up to Sonic, frowning.

"I wonder what they're waiting for?" He asked. Sonic didn't know, but someone else did, stood directly behind him.

"Me!" He said. The Blue Blur turned around to find his brother had answered them. Sonic gulped.

"What do you mean?" He stammered, looking skyward to all the aliens. Sukko smiled.

"Word on the grape vine, is that the Wisps are leaving. Their are going home, and now that Eggman and Dr. Starline are gone. I have been thinking about taking them up on their offer." He heaved. He was referencing back to the statement that Wisps had made when he first revealed himself to the world.

[It is written in the stars, that a Blue Saviour, will not only save his world, but others as well. To help all, and be helped by all. Ascending to the Heavens.]

The colour completely drained from Sonic, but he didn't cry. He had been feeling it too. He sighed.

"Your going with them." He sniffed. He watched as a dozen Wisps took Sukko by the hands and lead him to the middle of the crowd of aliens. Tails, however, did cry, several people did. Whisper had been talking to her own Wisps and had found out that they had actually decided to stay. Just the six of them. But they all knew that there wouldn't be another opportunity to leave and go home again after today. They were crying their own goodbyes to their fellow comrades. Maybe it was time everybody to move on. Unable to take it any longer, Tails ran past Sonic and straight into Sukko's arms, for the world's biggest hug. Sukko was honoured. For a Hedgehog not used to this much emotion over him, he was taken very aback. Knuckles had turned up, having come down from Angel Island curious about the mass assembly of Wisps. He walked up to Sukko, and tapped Tails on the shoulder. Now it was time. He could feel it in the air, and the Master Emerald had foreseen this.

"Let him go, Tails." He smiled. "He's meant for greater things." He announced. Both the twins sniggered. Sukko smiled.

"Not greater." He giggled, and with a look at Sonic, who winked and grinned.

"Different!" They said together, finally showing that they really were on the same page after all.

Then the twins embraced. Sonic heard his brother's voice down the Psychic Link.

{Be brave. You going to find this tougher then you realise. But stay strong, no matter what.} He praised. Sonic was a little confused. This is not permanent. Surely, they would see each other again. What was the problem? Sukko, on the other hand, knew what was going to happen and saw that Sonic was going to find it immensely difficult even though he'd wouldn't admit it.

Sonic let his brother go, for him to be taken by the hands and arms again by a dozen Wisps. They rose high in the air, and then suddenly, the Wisps, one of every colour, began entering Sukko, transferring their power into him. It wasn't painful, but it did cause Sukko to double over, to worried people on the ground, unable to restrain the Magic inside of him. He was going to explode with the power and energy. He tried to fight it, but then suddenly began to realise that that was point. In order to go with the Wisps, he needed to be on a different plane of existence. Finally, accepting his fate, he let go. He transformed.

An enormous yet beautiful explosion rang out from Sukko's location point to out across the sky. An expansion of royal blue but then ending in stunning rainbow colour. Again, not painful, Sukko felt is body permanently change, the Chaos Sorcery completely taking over, and yet no corruption. He had complete control as his entire body turned into pure Chaos Energy. There had been panic beneath him, but everything calmed once word got out he was alright. He didn't hear his brother scream in pain, but Sukko knew he was. The Psychic Link had been severed. Forever. They would never hear each other's words, thoughts or feelings again. Alone in their minds, just like everyone else.

The transformation complete, Sukko looked down at his brother. He had both Tails and Knuckles either side of him, still very pale. He was very frightened. His friends knew what had happened, he'd obviously told them, and now was really struggling with the splitting of the Psychic Link. Sukko was not worried. With friends like those, Sukko knew he be find. He hovered down towards the ground until he was face to face with Sonic.

Sukko's body was was now entirely made of the bright blue luminescent vaporous hue, and was now partially see-through. He shone with both warmth and strength. He had so much Magic now at his fingertips, it was ridiculous, but that wasn't the point. It was how he used it. That was where it mattered. That was what made a Hero. Sonic had taught him that. He'd made mistakes, done some questionable things. But due to the nature of his powers and that fact he wasn't Sonic, he was quite proud of what he'd achieved. He was leaving this world in complete peace. Apart from the usual petty crime. But nothing would endanger Mobius again the same extent as Eggman and Dr. Starline did.

Looking into Sonic's eyes, finally the Blue Blur sheds tears for him. Sukko wasn't upset. He'd be fine, given enough time. The Wisps above their heads had begun making preparations to leave, creating a giant ball of white light, of which would be used to teleport everyone home. The ball grew larger and larger until a Wisp tapped Sukko on the shoulder. It was time. With a deep breath, he looked back at his brother.

"Good luck, Sonikku." He smiled. It was now leaving his brother behind. Something he'd always feared. But peace reigned and Sonic being more then powerful to cope, and with loyal friends like his, Sukko finally let him go. With his mother's words in his head. 'Look to the stars, Sukko, and let go!' He turned into a ball of pure royal blue light and rose up towards the large ball of white light. He smiled, believing now that his mother always knew his true destiny, and sent him on the right path to enlightenment, to the Ascension.

As the huge ball of white light shone, all of the Wisps and Sukko disappeared inside of it, and as the people below cover their eyes with the brightness, it suddenly vanished, clearing the skies, finally taking everyone home.
