Pokemon Blackthorns legacy Ch.2
The first thing I noticed about flying on Latios was that he was extremely fast though I believe my dad's Dragonite Venus would have given Latios a good race, we reached new bark town from Blackthorn city in a little less then two hours!
As I dismounted I rubbed Latios on the head and said "Thanks Bud I appreciate the ride!"
"Tios!" The dragon replied nuzzling my face.
I returned Latios to his Pokeball and began walking towards where I was told Professor Elms lab was though it was made a lot easier by the police cars surrounding it…
I walked in the front door of the lab and overheard Professor Elm telling Officer jenny that a Totodile had been stolen by a teen with crimson red hair..
"Thats Silver.." I thought to myself.
I walked up to the quarreling adults and interrupted "Excuse me but perhaps I can lend a hand?"
Officer Jenny turned to me and said "And who are you? Perhaps you're the one who did it?!" She accused.
Professor Elm quickly got between Jenny and I before she could do anything..
"No he is NOT the thief! I just told you the thief has red hair for Arceus sake! This boy here is Champion Lance's son now do you think he would take it kindly if you arrest his child because you mistook his identity?!" Elm said.
The ditzy officer sweatdropped and turned to me apologizing profusely…
"Dont worry about it officer Jenny, its just a starter being stolen is a big deal hopefully there wont be more than two trainers who come in before Professor Elm receives more." I said.
"You wont need one Damien?" Elm asked.
"Of course not, I'm a blackthorn professor I hatch my own starter per Clan ritual!" I scoffed.
"He, he I suppose thats true I had forgotten about that fact of your clan!" Elm chuckled.
I sweatdropped and thought to myself "For one of the leading minds of Pokemon he sure can be scatterbrained!"
"Well Damien allow me to give you a Pokedex as well as extra Pokeballs then you can be on your way." Elm said.
The professor handed me a sapphire blue Pokedex as well as fifteen Pokeballs then said "If you would be able to call your father and possibly get him to send another starter I would greatly appreciate it Damien."
"I may have enough influence to get the starter myself Professor, just with the Blackthorn name let alone being Lance's son." I offered.
"I couldn't ask you to do that Damien it may get you into trouble with your father." Elm refused.
"Professor my father said it would be a good idea to get involved in some kind of Political aspect of Johto and this is somewhat Political besides I know a few breeders who could have a Totodile expedited here." I refuted.
Elm looked skeptical but he said "If you're sure then I wont stop you."
I flipped open my pokegear watch and dialed the number of my breeder friend…
"Hello can I help you?" a male voice asked.
"Yes sir this Is Damien Blackthorn May I speak with Amber?" I asked.
"Damien! Ambers been wanting to hear from you but shes not here right now is there anything I can help you with?" asked Jason.
"Perhaps, would you be able to expedite a Totodile to the elm lab?" I asked.
"A starter Pokemon? Why?" Jason asked.
"Professor Elm had a Totodile stolen, your family is the oldest and the best breeders in Johto." I replied.
"Damien this is a hefty favor, I can do it but not for free." Jason informed me.
"How much are we talking Jason?" I asked.
"I'm not talking about money Damien what I want is if you come across Team rocket give them a thrashing!" Jason said.
"Team rocket? They were disbanded five years ago by Red!" I said.
"They're back Damien, thats why Ambers not here, she was out on a walk and got stabbed by a team rocket grunt because she wouldnt give up her Pokemon." Jason lamented.
"Is she alright?!" I demanded.
"Shes fine, shes in the hospital but she will live." Jason informed me.
"Let me contact my Dad he should be informed!" I said.
"That would be appreciated Lad, I'll have that Totodile sent over direct, Traditional starter level correct?" Jason asked.
"Thats right. And I'll keep an eye out for Team Rocket." I promised.
I hung up and turned to Professor Elm…
"The Totodile will be here soon, now I gotta get going Professor Elm." I said.
"Be careful Damien, five years ago Team rocket was bad news if they've resurfaced.." Elm warned.
"I'll be careful." I said.
As soon as I walked out of the Lab I quickly dialed my dads personal Pokegear number…
"Damien, I wasn't expecting a call soon whats wrong?" My dad asked once he picked up.
"Dad did you know anything about Team rocket Resurfacing?" I asked.
Instantly my dads face became serious and he said "No I didn't, where did you find this out?"
I told him about Amber getting attacked by a rocket grunt and what Jason told me…
"Arceus above.. Thanks for letting me know son, if this is true then we really have a situation. Five years team rocket was responsible for over twenty deaths in the league before a boy named Red defeated their leader Giovanni and they were supposedly disbanded, If they really have come back and to Johto then that is not good!" My dad said.
"What do you want me to do?" I asked.
"I don't want you to do anything Damien! If you come across Team rocket then fight back but DO NOT get involved otherwise do I make myself clear?" Lance asked.
"Yes dad." I said.
"Good. Neither your mother nor I want you hurt Damien, its not because I think you're incompetent. Now can I ask where you are?" Lance asked.
"Right outside of elms lab so still in new bark town." I replied.
"Good, so you got your Dex?" My dad asked.
"I did and got Elm another starter though I already told you that." I replied.
"You did, and I appreciate it kiddo, Elms a good friend." My dad stated.
"Any suggestions what gym I should start with?" I asked.
"Well typically you would start in violet city at Faulkners gym but you don't HAVE to, the only one you couldn't do is your aunt Claire's gym because she requires seven badges but I am quite sure she would make an exception for you." My dad said.
"Dad I don't want any exceptions, you told me I have a lot of pull in the regions because of who you are as well as quite a bit of authority but that doesnt mean I should abuse it, I only used my influence to replace a starter that got stolen." I said.
"Thats honorable of you kiddo, a lot of people would abuse the authority you have." my dad said.
"Yeah I know, I think I will start in Violet city I'll call you later dad." I said.
"I'll be waiting, and you best not forget what I said about team rocket, they are bad news especially since Giovanni could give me a damn good run for my money in a fair match." Lance stressed.
"I know, I wont seek them out." I promised.
With that my father hung up and I set out for Violet city…
Time skip..
"Hard to believe I took a week and a half to reach violet city though I suppose the fact I stopped to find Pokemon kinda contributed to that." I muttered.
I wasn't exactly concerned with my time, my dad said it took almost a month for him to reach violet city, what I was concerned about is the health of my new Pokemon..
Flashback three days ago…
"I can see why they call Place Dark cave." I commented to Amethyst.
Out of nowhere I got headbutted hard in the stomach and I almost fell flat on my ass but luckily training with my dad gave me good reflexes…
"What the hell just attacked me?" I wondered.
"Amethyst use flash." I commanded.
A flash of white light lit up the cave and I saw a Pokemon that Should have been extinct!
I held up my pokedex and immediately got Tyrunt, the Royal Heir Pokémon. Tyrunt's jaws are so big and powerful, it can crunch up a car. If it doesn't like something, it responds with a wild tantrum.
"What the hell is a Tyrunt doing here, its a kalos Pokemon and a fossil to boot!" I thought to myself.
A mystical blue light began forming in the tyrunts mouth and my eyes widened…
"Amethyst dodge that dragonbreath with extreme speed and then use water pulse!" I called.
In a blur Amethyst dodged the tyrunts attack only to appear above it forming an orb of water type energy…
The Tyrunt's eyes narrowed as It began looking around but it wasn't quick enough as Amethyst fired the water pulse hitting Tyrunt before it could dodge…
To my surprise despite the water pulse being super effective the little Tyrunt got up almost immediately…
"Dammit that things tough to tank one of the strongest water type moves head on like that." I said.
The Tyrunts head glowed with rock type energy as it charged Amethyst…
"Amethyst thats head smash a rock type move get out of the way and use scale shot!" I commanded.
Amethyst quickly obeyed the command and shot out three scales covered with dragon type energy at a rapid fire pace knocking the tyrunt out of commission after the second scale..
The little guy was fierce but he wasn't a match for Amethyst which led me to believe that it was never a revived Pokemon as if it was it would have put up a better fight because of the primal instincts.
What worried me is what the pokeball may do to him because of his age. My pokedex showed Tyrunt as only six months old..
I Needed to get to the Pokemon center and fast…
