Chapter 4

(I do not own Undertale, only my own OC's. Any similarities between OC's and backstory are a complete coincidence.)

I made my way through the gate, blinded by bright white. When I could actually see, tall trees towered over me as a winding path showed through the snow. Some snowflakes twirled and spun down and stuck in my hair and sweater. I rubbed my hands, and held my journal, tucking my pen behind my ear. I began walking, making my way to a bridge. I heard a twig snap and spun around, the hair on my neck standing up. I searched the trees before turning around and continuing. As I was right by the bridge, I heard footsteps and froze.

"Hey bud, don'tcha know how to greet a new pal?"

"Turn around and shake my hand…"

I slowly turned around, gripping the hand before what sounded like a fart emitted from the hand. I blanked as the figure began to laugh.

"Whoopee cushion in the hand trick! Always works!"

I chuckled.

"Hey, you a human by chance? Ya look like one if I've ever seen one."

"No." I said sarcastically.

"I heard that sarcasm. Chillax, I don't care much. I'm supposed to be on watch for you guys, but honestly, I don't care about that stuff. Now my brother on the other hand… he's a human hunting FINATIC."

"How about this, go through this gate thingy, yeah, my brother made the bars to wide to stop anyone."

I walked through.

"Now, go stand behind that conveniently shaped lamp."

I stopped behind the lamp, which strangely fit my body shape.

I listened to the conversation between Sans and his brother, Papyrus was his name. I snorted at the multiple puns. Papyrus finally left and I came out from behind the lamp, continuing on through the puzzles and messes. Coming across two dogs to which I pet, one whose neck wouldn't stop going up, and another which could only see moving things. Huh. This place is weird. I continued onwards. I finally found myself in somewhere called Snowdin. Nice name. I continued onwards, meeting multiple monsters, purchasing food, and walking through. I continued onwards until the snow blurred my vision. I thought I could hear Papyrus, and then I found myself in an unfamiliar bed. I squeezed through the bars that attempted to keep me closed. I continued back to the spot, only to get caught again and put in the same shed. I continued the same routine, before finally…

"YOU… YOU WANT TO BE MY FRIEND?"

I nodded, my hands nervously wringing in front of me. I could see a smile.

"ALRIGHT HUMAN!"

He hugged me, something I haven't felt in a long time, a hug. I hesitantly hugged back. He waved at me, and let me continue. I continued onward, eventually finding the echo flowers. They would repeat things said in the past. I would listen. I continued onwards until reaching tall grass that I hid in, feeling as if being watched. I looked to my side, only to be horrified at what I saw.

(DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUUUUN! Yes I'll leave on a cliffhanger, I'm evil like that.)
