Chapter 6

(RAWR, TIME TO SCREAM IN SPIDER DANCE CUZ I CAN!)

(Just kidding, Imma scream in Mettaton, but Imma timeskip, cuz author mode isn't on, so imma sum it all up and start getting onto the relationship parts, tryna keep this book short, y'know?)

(Just kidding, this is going to be a sad chapter… kinda)

After a few more boss battles, reaching the barrier, and tryna reach out to flowey, I felt vines wrap around me, squeezing my body so much I felt like I was tryna be squeezed to death, and entirely, I felt like it. I struggled to breath, my lungs feeling blocked. Flowey cackled as he sprouted into view. I couldn't hear him as panic began to set in. I felt searing pain as his attack hit me over and over. I waited for the finishing hit, when it never came. I looked up, only for my eyes to widen. Toriel was smiling as she was held in the air. Undyne looked ready to kill, yet when was she not? Anyways, she was either very upset or very angry… or both, I couldn't tell. Papyrus was flailing, or, attempting that. Asgore was death starring Flowey. After many cheers, or cries of encouragement, everything froze. Vines began to crawl up my skin before tightening around my throat. My chest tightened as I tried to breathe in the air my body was denied. Small and tiny flashbacks of men that used my ex abusing me for simply making them food, drinks, stuff they requested. And… she did nothing about it. I flailed in a desperate attempt to escape.

I couldn't see for a few moments before flashing colors appeared. What seemed to be a monster similar to Toriel appeared, wearing similar robes. Stars shot at me and blasts were fired as I felt the need to save this lost soul. He was lost, abandoned in a world he didn't understand, so he inflicted his pain on others. Suddenly, my world faded black, before what seemed to be Undyne appeared, but her face was blocked by a white mist. Her fighting demeanor was horrifyingly absent. Spears shot themselves at me as I grasped what to do. If I talked with her about things, maybe she would remember! The time we tried to make curry, only to end up in me accidentally burning myself, the time we went training, and for me to learn self defense. The mist thinned, before clearing. I ran to high five her, before dragged back to the more demonic monster.

In the order, I had gone to Undyne, Alphys, Sans and Papyrus, Toriel and Asgore, and then this poor being. But before, I braced myself. He was begging me to stop, asking, pleading, yet I stood there, SAVE repeating in my mind. He began firing a cannon at me, yet I stood there as the cannon injured me as much as it did my soul. Cuts, then slashes, then constantly growing gashes appeared on my body. Blood trickled down my face as bruises appeared on me. I fell to my knees, yet I wouldn't give my life up. I couldn't. I had gone this far.

Then suddenly…

It stopped.

The cannon stopped firing, and checking my stat, I was on 00.000000000001 health. I ignored it. This monster- no, person needed my help. Monsters weren't monsters, they were people as well, just different features. I managed to stand, and began walking towards Asriel. I reached out my arms, and hugged him. He faded back to his child form, and hugged me back, crying, and managing to say between sobs he wanted to apologize forever for what he did, for what he's done, and for what could happen. I hugged him back, whispering comforting words to the distressed child. I sat down, criss crossed.

"I wanna crack the barrier."

"What?"

"I will break the barrier, so that way mom and dad can see the ocean." Asriel said, standing. He made me stand back, and arose, into the air, his eyes going white (HEROBRINE-) and summoning the souls of all monsters, and the different colored souls, like the ones mine had changed too. Green when I fought Undyne, Yellow when fighting Alphys, Blue when I had fought Sans and Papyrus, and the list went on and on. My vision went white, and then it stopped. Asriel knelt down, panting. I sat down beside him, and we chatted for a few minutes, before he claimed he had to go.

"Can you promise me one thing, Finn?"

"Yeah?"

"When I go back to being a flower, can you get me a pot, and take me to the surface? I've always wanted to see the sun."

"Of course."

I patted Asriel's head. He smiled, before I awoke again, in front of the barrier entrance. Toriel was leaning over me, concerned on her face. My eyes struggled to open, but when they did, I sat up, rubbing my head.

"Child, are you alright?"

"Yes Toriel, I'm fine, thank you."

I bowed my head in Asgore's direction, standing, before my legs grew too shaky and gave out. Undyne, noticing my legs shaking already, swooped in and held me up.

"Don't stand, your legs can't take that. We witnessed that hit, you know…"

I smiled.

"It's fine, I've been through worse."

"Nothings worse than getting chucked into saving an entire race's lives." Undyne responded.

I nudged her arm playfully. "I promise Undyne, as you said, if I can take a hit from you, I can take a hit from a cannon."

"Not exactly what I said, but hey, it works!"

We all laughed. Toriel had healed most of the injuries I had received, and some were bandaged, probably too severe to heal with magic. Suddenly, a wave of dizziness hit me, blood began to trickle down my head again, and in a few seconds it turned into a flow of blood. My vision grew hazy and blocked by the stream of dark red streaming down my face. I could hear muffled shouts and yells of concern. My eyelids grew heavy, before my body gave out entirely.

...What was that light? Was it a guide out of the hell I'm currently in? Where am I anyways? Limbo? Purgatory? Both somehow? Or was it the end of time? Had I died from the fight with Asirel? I hoped I hadn't. I began to walk, well, more like drift to the light. It was a small orb. I held onto it, pulling it close to my chest. Then I was blinded by a bright white light, which faded to turn out to be a hospital ceiling. I could hear a heart monitor? Maybe it was just a ringing in my ear with an odd rhythm. Nope, heart monitor, as I glanced over to see it right next to me. I sat up, only to find both of my arms in bandages. My legs as well. My left eye was covered, the same eye where the blood was. My hoodie and jeans had been changed out for a hospital gown. A white blanket was draped over me, and had slid down to expose my side. I looked under the gown to find my entire side bandaged. The cannon must've done a large number on me. A nice looking woman walked in with a clipboard.

"Oh! You're awake! It's good to see you up finally."

She took a seat beside me.

Wait…

"Jocelynn?!"

"Wait a minute, you're that adult from the hotel!" Jocelynn replied.

"It's good to see you again, Jocelynn." I said, smiling.

"Good to see you again…?" She trailed off, having not learnt my name.

"Finn." I told her. She smiled.

"What a nice name! Anyways, I'm here to tell you your friends are waiting outside. They've been quite impatient. The fish, Undyne, she's been repeatedly asking to see you, alongside Papyrus and Sans, and Toriel. All of them, actually. They are some good friends, I tell you." Jocelynn said, smiling kindly.

"Now, for leaving, we can't let you leave for another week, as the cannon fired at you has done quite a number to your body, and due to past injuries, we will need to check to make sure they haven't done any permanent damage." Jocelynn said. I nodded, understanding.

Jocelynn stood to leave, but I stopped her.

"Jocelynn, the past injuries have actually healed mostly, from past trips. However, I will tell you, some didn't heal properly, two on my left arm. So, please be careful of those two." Jocelynn nodded.

After a week, I was released. I was told to be quite careful on my side and head, and to make sure to at least visit someone daily. I didn't understand that part. I shrugged it off. About a few hours later, I was told I could have my parents' old house, to which I accepted. Those old memories could never leave me. I moved in to find the authorities had cleaned and replaced stained and smelling things. I turned my parents room into my room, and my old room into a guest room. The living room stayed the same, as did the kitchen, with a bit more floral things. I smiled as I decorated, before realizing I would need to get groceries, as I needed to get food. Suddenly, my phone went off.

"Hello?"

"Is this Finn?"

"Yes?" Something about that voice was so familiar…

"Son!?"

"Dad!?"

"Finn, it's so happy to talk to you!"

"Dad, where are you?! I'm coming!"

"Hospital, room 23B."

I immediately grabbed my keys and got in my car, picking up a box of hershey's chocolate, knowing he loves it. I pulled into the seven story parking lot and pretty much rushed myself to see my dad. My eyes filled with happy tears. My dad smiled and beckoned me over. Several layers of bandages were wrapped around his head and chest. I set the chocolate down. We began to catch up, and I told him the whole story of how I saved the monsters. He told me he was proud, and I was happy. He said Mom hadn't made it, but they had tried their hardest. I was sad, of course, but I had him. And that was good.

(LONGEST ONE YET! I'm sorry I wasn't uploading, Writer's block got me, and I ended up rushing this. I was going to add all the other boss battles, such as Alphys and Sans, and Asgore, but HAHA, I wouldn't. That would be too many feels. Had to watch Asriel's entire fight to get the details right. Was not watching a four hour gameplay video, I've denied you beautiful people to long for chapters. Anyways, here ya go! Finn will be meeting his love life soon, but that's in like, the next chapter, so I'll see you horned dorks next chapter!)
