Chapter 9

(This is more or so filler on Finn and some characters, mainly just a bonding chapter, and explaining fears, and comforting. If you wanna skip, that's fine. There won't be any triggers this chapter, but if there is one I haven't noticed, PLEASE TELL ME! I want you all to be okay, and not be triggered, so please tell me if there is one!)

(Enjoy!)

Finn rolled over in bed, groaning loudly into his pillow as his alarm clock pretty much screamed in his ear. His blankets were scattered everywhere, and his eyes still wanted to stay closed, to sleep, but he was meeting up with Toriel and Sans, and Pap. He dragged himself out of bed after slamming his fist on the alarm clock, and pulled on a pair of faded ripped jeans at the knees, a black short sleeved t-shirt, and a pair of black and white striped fingerless gloves going up to his elbows. Brushing through his hair, he pulled on a pair of black and white converse over his white socks, and grabbed his keys. He hopped in his car, before running back in realizing he forgot his phone. He hopped back in his car, and tossed his phone in his passenger seat, quickly making his way to Toriel's. He pulled into her oddly large driveway, and got out. He knocked and was greeted by Toriel, who led him inside, and brought him to the kitchen, where Sans was seemingly asleep, and Pap was sitting down in a stool, his smile seemingly larger at Finn's arrival.

"Finn! Glad to see you've arrived!"

"Nice to see you too, Papyrus!"

Papyrus got up and lifted Finn's much smaller frame into a tight hug, having not seen Finn since the meet up.

"Hey kid, what happened at that meeting? Toriel mentioned something happened between you and someone."

Papyrus set Finn down and took a seat again, for once, his happy demeanor had weakened. Toriel set a hand on Finn's shoulder. Finn sighed, and took a seat on the couch, making himself comfy.

"Well, I… I only fell into the underground by mistake, not paying attention to where I was walking. The reason I was there was I was planning to move in with my parents, and that was because of my abusive ex girlfriend, Linda." Finn explained, taking a breath to continue.

"She was always telling me I was either too fat or too skinny, and then later she would say I was perfect. I never realized she was attaching strings until the same day I ran off. She tried to harm my arm to keep me staying, but I merely threw her off, and got into this town. I got to my parents and nearly broke down…" Finn took another breath. "My mother had died and my father nearly dying. He's in the hospital still, but he's okay. But, at the meeting, Linda had gotten in and hit me with an alchohol bottle. Luckily, Toriel had gotten there to calm me down from my short panic attack." Finn explained, his knees close to his chest, as he had pulled them up halfway through. Tears pricked his eyes as short flashbacks of abuse sprouted through his mind. He fell a bone hand settle on his shoulder and looked up. Sans was sitting there, hand on his shoulder.

"Kid, you don't deserve that. Jeez, you saved an entire race with kindness! You saved us all from no longer existing!" Sans explained, his smile returning. Finn let go of his knees and gave a small smile.

"Yeah! You even gave me good spaghetti recipes to try! And saved Flowey! He's doing better now, by the way. He's asleep right now." Papyrus said, his goofy smile returning to his face. Toriel was sitting in an armchair, a book sat in her lap.

"Yes, Finn, you did do those, now look at this! You helped us all escape, and now you have a job as an ambassador! There is no way that woman can hurt you anymore." Toriel gave a kind smile. Finn stood up and hugged Toriel, then Papyrus and Sans both.

"You guys are amazing, thank you."

"Anytime, kiddo. Now that I think about it, aren't you an adult?"

"Yes."

"Oh, welp, I'm still calling you kiddo, your like, four inches taller than me, so, you look like a teenager."

"Eh. I get that a lot."

(Just a filler chapter, I love this. I love writing fluff. Now, please, R&R and drink water, and stop just eating saltine crackers. Take care of yourselved, and have a good day my horned dorks!)
