Chapter 12
(Alrighty, more relationship sparks, and me implementing Frisk and Chara in a absolutely no sense making way!)
(¡TRIGGER WARNINGS! Self scratching, abuse, homophobia. If these trigger you, please skip the chapter, or at least go through the marking points for the spaces without reading!)
I rolled over in bed, my alarm clock shutting itself off. I sat up, and walked to my closet, pulling on a pair of black jeans, a white t-shirt, and a blue hoodie. I didn't have anything to do today, so being inside whilst reading would be nice. I walked to my living room, and grabbed a book, alongside my earbuds and phone. I began playing my playlist of Lo-Fi beats whilst continuing the history books given to me by Asgore. At this point, all the snow had melted, but my house was terribly cold. My dad had gotten his own apartment, and now stayed there, visiting every Saturday. It was currently Monday. I didn't have an Ambassador meetings either, so I was free the whole day. I was too lost in my book to hear one of my windows open.
{TRIGGER WARNINGS AHEAD!}
I was suddenly struck off the couch. My earbuds flew out out of my ears as my phone slid across the carpet, hidden by the Christmas tree I haven't bothered to take down.
"Well well well, if it isn't mister dumper."
That voice belonged to Linda.
"You-" I was struck in the mouth by a bear bottle.
"You fuck! You dumped me because you loved men!? Dumbass, there's no such thing! Men can only love women! We both know that! You cannot love a man! Men love women, that's the only way to make children!" She screamed as she struck my head with the body. Blood began to trickle down my face. How did she know I was gay? Did the authorities slip it? How did she get out? She eventually left after very viciously telling me she would come back if I didn't love her again. She left out the same window she entered, without taking my phone.
{SAFE TO READ!}
I quickly rushed to grab my phone, yanking out the earbuds with such force I almost broke them. With shaking hands I dialed 911.
"What's your emergency?"
"Help, Linda, she's back… I'm struggling to see, it's all blurry…"
"Sir, please, can you stay awake? Where are you?"
{TRIGGER WARNINGS AHEAD!}
I quickly explained my address with a shaking voice. Blood continued to trickle down my head as sirens wailed. My phone was knocked away as Linda came back in, screaming. I cried out as she kicked my stomach and continued beating me with a bottle. She grasped my hair and dragged me to the wall. Tears flowed down my face as she beat me against the wall, and I began choking on my own blood as it made its way in my mouth. I eventually felt her forced off me. By now, the tears had stopped. My eyes were dry. My vision was blurry.
{NOW SAFE TO READ}
I could see a blur of colors, such as blue and white, what were they, clouds? Cranes? Seagulls? I couldn't tell. My vision began to darken as they tried to keep me awake. I eventually let my eyelids close.
What seemed to be screaming sounded throughout the air. Who was that? Azrail? Was I in Limbo again? Or Purgatory? Eh. I still didn't care for the difference. I began walking around. Floating maybe? What was I doing? Where was I? Wait, I didn't want to answer that one. Wait, who was Azrail? Where'd that name come from?
Wait…
Azrail!
That was him screaming! How did I get out of here...? Right! There was a light! I began running. I jumped into a hole, where a sheet of yellow light was at the bottom. I fell through, then fell into a water like substance. What was it? Tar? Blood? Nope. Just black water. I had taken a breath beforehand, thankfully, so I was okay… for now. I began to swim up, my body trying to give out. I broke the surface and floated there. A light began to engulf the place before I could see the ceiling of a hospital. I sat up, immediately regretting it as my head began to throb. The screaming stopped, before a choked sob sounded through the room. I felt a shaking hand settle on me, as if checking I was real, before a gentle hug engulfed me. Tears fell onto my shoulder.
"Christ Finn, you're alive!" Azrail managed to say, choking on his own sobs.
I hugged him back, Toriel having a pure look of concern.
"Child, you at least should be more careful." Toriel said.
"Alright." I said, nodding. Flowey was swaying back and forth, some vines wrapped around his stem.
"Flowey, I'm fine, no need to get stressed. I woke up, that's good. How long was I out?"
"T-two weeks Finn…" Azrail stammered, having pulled away.
Shock flooded me. Two weeks!?
"They sent Linda to death." Toriel said, taking a seat.
"Ah." I sighed.
Azrail sat down, his hand gripping mine. Worry was written all over him. As much blush that was scattered across Azrail's face, worry also pushed itself in. I gripped his hand back, smiling. He sighed, and leaned his head on my shoulder.
"Toriel? Who's this boy?" A child's voice asked, and I looked around, before spotting a small child beside Toriel wearing a light blue and magenta striped sweater, and blue shorts, and brown hair with their bangs right above their eyes, or, closed eyes, however, they seemed to have curiosity floating around them.
"This is Finn, Frisk. He's one of my close friends and the person who saved monsters." Toriel responded with a patient look and a kind smile. Frisk let go of Toriel's hand, which they had been clutching moments before, and climbed up onto the bed, before patting Finn's other hand.
"I hope you get better." They said, and I noticed their odd skin complexion, but I'm not one to judge. They smiled happily, before climbing back down and sitting on a chair beside where Flowey was, and the two began to talk.
"Sorry for not letting you know, but Finn, this is Frisk. I found them talking to Flowey last week, and decided to take them in. I was saddened to know they had no parents." Toriel said, sighing at the end.
"Ah. They're non-binary?" I questioned.
"That is what they confirmed." Toriel replied. I looked at Frisk with curiosity. They seemed to get along quite well with Flowey, but they kept mentioning someone named 'Chara'. Who was that? A friend of theirs? I would ask later. But for now, it was talking and being updated on what had happened while I was out, not pondering on the unknown. I began chatting with Sans and Papyrus, Azrail refusing to let go of my hand and simply napping, his hand still resting on mine. Frisk had fallen asleep, and Flowey as well. I smiled at the friends I had made on my journey, and allowed myself to fall asleep as my brain eased me in, before the voices spoke again, just before I slipped into sleep.
"They're using you, they're faking, and they don't actually care."
(OH MY GOD DID WRITER'S BLOCK SLAM INTO ME LIKE A SEMI TRUCK WITH THE DRIVER DRANK AS FUUUUUUUCKKKKKKKK.
I'm sorry, anyways, other than that, stay safe, drink water, stop eating those saltine crackers to avoid drinking water, and see you next time my horned dorks, and here's a little meme, with Ranboo the owner of the audio, and slightly edited to fit Undertale!)
(Finn: *looks at a bowl of mix* ya know what, hang on- *looking through cabinets* WHO MOVED THEM?! WHO MOVED MY CHILDREN!?)
(Finn holding a knife: Someone moved my Monster candies, and now I'm going to start killing.)
(*Azrail having a panic attack on the couch*)
