Draco

As he lay in the tub letting his sore, aching body soak in the heated water Draco found himself thinking back to his parents. His mother was probably worried sick, but his father was hoping that he was dead or on his way home to grovel and beg his father's forgiveness. This caused Draco to sneer. He wasn't going to beg his father's forgiveness. If he needed to beg anyone's forgiveness it was Granger's and Weasley's, and Longbottom's, and Lovegood's... and Potter's... and Todd's. On second thought he needed to ask a lot of people for their forgiveness. He'd been a massive prat and needed to make things right. He made a list of people he needed to apologize to, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. He knew that he needed to, but his pride wouldn't let him. His Malfoy Pride.

He thought about this until he realized the water had turned cold, and he reheated it so he could rinse off.

He rinsed and dried off before dressing in his freshly laundered robes. He cast a heating charm on his robes making them the perfect temperature before leaving the bathroom.

"HEADS UP!" Someone yelled from the floor above.

Draco looked up to see something falling. He held his hand up and something long, wooden, and black landed in his hand. When his fingers wrapped around the object, it floored him. The feeling of wanting to run, the desire for freedom. It was so strong that he fell to the floor gasping. He looked at the object and saw that it was a wand.

'Use me!' The wand seemed to whisper.

"Lumos." He cast. Brilliant Red-white light burst from the wands tip and encompassed Draco. He could feel it intertwining with his own magic as if searching for something. He felt a buzz before the magic quieted, and his breathing slowed back to normal. He pulled himself to his feet and looked down at the wand. It was Ebony black with grooves on the handle and what looked like a fang on the pommel. The shaft was smooth all the way to the tip ending in a point and conical. From pommel to tip he guessed that it would have to be at least as long as one foot of parchment.

"Hey." A voice said breaking him from his thoughts. He looked up to see Jason walking up to him.

"What happened?" Jason asked.

"I caught this wand as it was falling, and when I did it felt like I wanted to run."

"So, it happened to you too?" Jason asked pulling a wand from his belt and showing it to Draco. The pommel was also shaped like a fang, the hilt had several grooves carved into it, and the shaft had grooves placed about an inch apart from each other and ended at a hollow point tip.

"What do you think this means Todd?" He asked.

"I think it means that we have new wands." Jason said.

Sirius came up the steps and saw Jason and Draco with wands out. "All right, what happened?" He asked in case he needed to stop a duel before it started.

"We were looking through the storage." Jason said. "This wand found me." He said handing Sirius the wand. "And that wand rolled over the edge and found Draco."

"What do you mean, 'the wands' found you?"

"Well. When I grabbed the wand, I seemed to resonate with my magic." Jason said. "It seemed like it wanted me to take it."

"I felt like the wand wanted freedom, and when I cast a spell, it resonated with my magic." Draco said.

"I see, I see. Come with me." Sirius said walking down to the first floor. He walked to the center of the hall and entered a library. "Come here." He said leading them to a table. He sat down and pulled a book over to him.

"What's this?" Jason asked.

"It's what's left of my family tree. The people my blasted mother tried erasing from our history. Sirius said flipping to the first page.

Isla Black

"She was a member of the Black family when they first gained their prestige in the wizarding community. She was disowned for marrying a Muggle." Sirius said as he showed a picture of her wand. "Do either of the wands look like this?" He asked.

Jason and Draco placed the wands next to the wand in the picture.

"No." Sirius said flipping the page.

Phineas Black

"He was a member of the second generation of Blacks. He was a Headmaster at Hogwarts and was disowned because he supported Muggle rights." Sirius said looking at the wands. "Nope. They aren't his either." He turned the page.

Marius Black

"Marius Black was the third generation, son of Cygnus and Violetta Black (née Violetta Bullstrode). He was disowned because he was a Squib." Sirius looked at the wand. "Nope." He said as he flipped the page.

Cedrella Black

"Cedrella was also a third generation Black, and a cousin of Marius. She was disowned for marrying Septimus Weasley, who my mother would have called a Blood Traitor. It looks like her parents did too." He looked at her wand before turning the page.

Lyra Seren Black

"Lyra was also a third generation Black who was accused of eloping with a Muggle or blood traitor. I'm not sure which is true, considering that she just up and vanished one day."

The wand jolted and sparked sending out silvery white light before a figure appeared in the library with them.

"If you want to know my story, find my Journal." The figure said.

"Are you a ghost?" Jason asked.

"No, but at the same time, yes. I left a message behind in case anyone who carried the same magical resonance as I, found my wand, and it seems that my wand found you."

"How did you leave a message for me? Why did you leave a message for me?"

"Find my Journal. It has the answers you seek."

With that, the being disappeared, and they were left in the silence of the library.

"Well, that happened." Sirius said.

Jason picked up Lyra's wand. "Accio Lyra Seren Black's Journal." He cast.

They waited for a minute before a black book with a red strip on the right-hand side of the cover, maybe six inches by eight inches, came flying into the library with sawdust falling from the cover.

"Scourgify." He cast cleaning the Journal off. He picked it up and looked through it.

"Shall I continue?" Sirius asked.

"Go ahead." Jason said. "I can Multitask."

Taurus Gemini Black.

"Taurus Black was disowned for being a blood traitor. He not only married a Muggle loving Witch, but he took her last name, and he grew to love the Muggles, and protected them."

"What's this?" Draco asked pointing at a spot on the book.

"Oh. That's who he married. I found out that he married a Witch by the name of Haywood. Ashley Haywood, I believe. They had a daughter named Sheila."

"WHAT!" Jason said. "What did you say?"

"I said that he married a Witch named Ashley Haywood."

"They had a daughter named Sheila Haywood?!"

"Yes. Why?"

"Sheila Haywood was my mom." Jason said.

"Seriously?" Sirius asked. "You are Sheila Haywood's son? Taurus Black's grandson? This is amazing!"

"Sheila Haywood is dead."

"I'm sorry. If you ever find yourself in need of a place to live, you have one here."

"Thanks." Jason said numbly.

"You're welcome."

"I'm going to go to my room for a bit." Jason said leaving the library as if on autopilot.

"Okay." Sirius and Draco said as they watched Jason leave. "Want to check the rest of the family?" Sirius asked Draco.

"Sure." Draco said.

They looked at Taurus's wand and found that it was a match for the Wand that found Draco.

"Well, we found your wand." Sirius said.

"Yeah. I wonder why he didn't take it with him?"

"Probably to leave his past behind him."

"Probably."

"Let's continue, shall we?"

Alphard Black

"Uncle Alphi was my favorite Uncle. Not because he left me some gold when he died, but because he didn't hate me like the rest of my family did. He was a fourth generation Black and was posthumously disowned for leaving me the gold he left me in his will."

"That sounds like a load of rubbish."

"Well, that's the way most pure bloods are."

"Like my father."

"Yeah. We'll be able to add you to this book if you like."

"That would make my father furious."

"Let's do it then." Sirius said with an evil while writing an entry for Draco at the end of the book before continuing.

"I am from the fifth generation. I ran away from home when I was sixteen and didn't look back, and my mother had me removed from the family tree."

"Why?"

"Because I was a "Blood Traitor". Her words, not mine."

"Your mother sounds like my father."

"In some ways she was just like him."

"That's not really encouraging."

"But you are a beacon of light in an otherwise dark world. That should count for something."

"Yeah. I guess it should."

Andromeda Black

"Andromeda is my cousin. She was disowned for marrying a Muggle-Born."

"Seems like that happens a lot."

"It does." Sirius turned the page to show:

Draco Malfoy

Disowned for dating a Muggle born Witch.

Draco looked at the page and nodded. "It doesn't feel like something I Should be proud of, but I am."

"That's your father talking. You're better than him. Now. Are you ready to go?"

"Yeah. Let's go."

They left the house and headed for Diagon Alley.

Jason

Jason walked upstairs thinking about his mom. He didn't know her, and now he found out that he was related to Sirius through his grandfather on his mom's side. It was a lot to take in. He walked into his room and laid down on his bed before opening the journal.

Property of: Lyra Seren Black

Jason turned the page.

If you are reading this, then I am dead or soon going to die.

I suppose that I should start at the beginning. I was born to the "Noble" house of Black. The only thing Noble about the house of Black are the so called "blood traitors." Great-Great-Grandmother Isla, Great-Grandfather Phineas, Great Uncle Marius, Great Cousin Cedrella, and my Twin Brother Taurus. You are the few members of the Black family that I consider to be Nobles. Everyone else are about as Noble as the rubbish they toss out.

Jason turned the page.

I have adopted the guise of "Noblewoman" in the hopes of keeping my family and rest of magical Britain from learning my secret. In public I am 'Lyra Seren Black', Noblewoman of the most "Noble" house of Black, but in private I am allowed to be my true self. I am allowed to be Lyra Black: Siren of Death. Yes, I made the name up myself.

I find myself reminiscing about my time at Hogwarts. My parents were so proud when Taurus told them I had been sorted into Slytherin. When asked why I hadn't told them, I told them that it slipped my mind. The truth is that Slytherin is the house of the Cunning and the Ambitious. A true Slytherin would not brag about being in the house if Slytherin. They are Cunning and Ambitious about their goals. What is more Cunning and Ambitious than lying straight to your parents face and getting away with it?

Jason stopped reading, ran to his trunk, pulled out paper and quill, and wrote that bit of wisdom down before he continued to read.

My parents were most displeased with Taurus for being placed in Gryffindor. Personally, I don't mind having a brother who is foolish enough to run into danger with my carefully crafted plan, so he doesn't completely die. Who would embrace my carefully crafted plans if he didn't?

Jason turned the page.

Again, my thoughts turn to Hogwarts. The Divination Professor, Professor Alvis Partridge told me that I am one of the few to truly possess "the sight" when I was able to use tea leaves, the Crystal ball, palm reading, and honest to Merlin foresight. I would fall asleep in Professor Partridge's class and when I woke up, I would have notes, both for the upcoming class, and notes on future events. I predicted Tom Riddle's rise to power and his death at the hands of a toddler. I have also foreseen that the toddler would have a hard life, but when he turns eleven the predictions go fuzzy, as if some unforeseen force is keeping his future uncertain. I am not sure if the boy will live or die. I am hoping for the former.

Jason looked up. Lyra Black predicted Voldemort's rise and fall. She saw Harry the night he became an orphan. He kept reading.

I have foreseen the future. A boy with hair so black that it can only be compared to my mother's soul. A soul so black that it corrupts all that is weak in its presence. When the light touched the boy's hair it shone the color of blood. This boy will be a terrifying opponent to all who oppose him.

'I wonder who she saw.' Jason wondered before turning the page.

Today I found myself reminiscing about potions class while at Hogwarts. I learned a great deal during that class. I wish to go over everything that I learned, and everything that I can improve upon the subject, but I suppose that I won't be able to do that, seeing as I have a limited number of pages, and an oceans worth of knowledge. I might write it all down in books for my posterity, but I shall see. I have learned that the use of a silver blade for potion making is ignorant and laughable. Unless you plan on having a knife made out of goblin silver you just have a knife that you need to sharpen before and after every class, and since goblin silver is expensive, I suggest using a knife conjured using the spell 'argentum pugionem'. It will create a dagger made of the purest silver sharpened to an edge so sharp it can cut off a wizard's finger. True story. To cast 'argentum pugionem' wave your wand in a circle clockwise and bring it down in a cutting motion. If you do the opposite, then you will create silver that is so sharp it is usable only as a projectile weapon. Both spells are only good for three hours before they disappear, so plan carefully.

Jason took out Lyra's wand and cast 'argentum pugionem' while moving his wand in a clockwise motion and bringing it down in a slicing motion. To his surprise a silver dagger appeared in the air and fell into his hand. It felt cold to the touch. He threw it at the wall, and it sunk in up to the hilt. It was sharp. "'argentum pugionem'." He cast in a counterclockwise motion and brought his wand down into an upwards slicing motion. Silver shot out of his wand and went through the wall. 'So, it does work.' He thought. He went back to reading.

I have so much potions knowledge and so little space in this journal, so I will write a general-purpose potions book, and cover the most important steps in here. When it says to cut something for juice or seeds it's best to crush whatever it is for the juice or seeds. When it says to slice anything make sure that you slice it long ways. This will give you more room to work with, and it gives you the same amount for less work. Be careful not to let any, ANY, ANY, ANY! Do not let any of your bodily fluids into the potions. This will cause cauldron meltdown or cauldron explosion. Don't do it. Here is a cooling charm, a face shield charm, and a Cauldron charm so that nothing unwanted gets put into your cauldron when making potions.

Cooling charm- Frigus Corpus. To cast wave your wand in a circle clockwise above your head three times while casting the charm. To reverse the spell, rotate your wand counterclockwise three times.

Face Covering charm- Facium Operimentum. To cast wave wand in front of your face. To remove, wave wand in opposite direction.

Cauldron Cover charm- Lebetem Operculum. To cast wave wand around cauldron in a circular and covering motion.

Jason quickly cast the charms to see if they worked.

"'Frigus Corpus.'" He cast waving his wand over his head three times. He instantly felt his body go cold. He waved his wand in a circle counterclockwise, and his body temperature went back to normal.

"'Facium Operimentum.'" He cast waving his wand over his face. He could feel a barrier over his face. He could breathe in through his nose and mouth normally, he could blink, everything was the same with the exception that he couldn't feel the wind against his face. He placed a hand against his face and felt resistance between his face and his fingers. He waved his wand down across his face, and he could feel the air touch his face again.

Finally, he grabbed his cauldron from his trunk and cast "'Lebetem Operculum'." On the cauldron before waving his wand around the cauldron and over it, covering the cauldron. He took all of the spare change, candies, and even his old textbooks, and tried throwing them into the cauldron only for them all to miss and be deflected.

He picked up the book and turned the page.

On the subject of potions. I found several potions for; shall I say it? Recreational use. These potions are not safe for school or work, so be sure to brew them while only at home or in the company of likeminded individuals.

Gender swapping potion...

Jason flipped past those potions, he had no intention of using them… yet, and he didn't want Fred and George finding out about them, so he just flipped through the book until he came to the next entry.

Unlike Taurus I was never very good at charms. I was better at potions than he was, and he was always better at charms than I was. We used to study together, and the other students would always jeer at us for "keeping it in the family". Well to them I'll say: "they can suck my magically created..."

Jason chuckled at that. The thought of his Great Aunt getting a blow job from anyone was a bit disturbing because of their relationship to each other, but he'd respect her creativity.

Thanks to Taurus I was able to pass Charms each year and I eventually came into my own. I created several charms for myself. Some of these were also used for recreational purposes and is what made me create a potion for said recreational purposes.

"Why?" Jason asked no one in particular.

"Why wha'?" A portrait on the wall asked.

"Why did Lyra Black create recreational spells and potions." Jason asked.

"Oh. I see. Yer readin' her j'urnal."

"Yeah. I was hoping for some insight. She was a seer, a potions mistress, and it looks like a charms mistress."

"Oh, she was a lot more'n tha'. She was a staunch supporter o' Muggle rights and th' rights o' Muggle born witches and wizards."

"I see. Is that why she had the robes made the way that she did."

"Aye, tha' she did. She was also..." he looked around to make sure no one was listening to them. "... she was one o' them." He whispered.

"One of what?" Jason asked.

"Ye know. One o' th' unnatural ones."

"What? A werewolf? A vampire? A Veela?"

"No. Something tha' was considered far worse than any o' those things. Something so unnatural something tha' would've had th' late Mrs. Black beatin' her fer."

"What?"

"Ye know..." he looked around again to check if anyone was spying on them. "... she liked other Witches." The man nodded.

"Oh." Jason said. "And here I thought it was going to be something bad."

"What do ye mean! Tha's the worst thin' tha' could 'a happened! Th' late Mrs. Black woulda given Lyra ta th' Dement'r's if she was still alive after the beating she'd a given her! Tha' was an unfergivable transgression on Lyra's part!"

"Did Lyra ever marry?"

"Yeah. She eloped wit a witch by th' name o' Felicia. The late Mrs. Black thought tha' they were jus' friends, but if she ever found out... oh. Th' trouble tha' woulda started. Mrs. black woulda tortured Felicia wit th' Cruciatis curse until she'd a died. Then she woulda started on Lyra, and if'n anything was left it woulda gone ta th' Dement'r's."

"Not a very understanding woman, was she?"

"Not at all. She thought that if'n ye didn't conform ta societies rules then ye were no better than th' rubbish under societies feet."

Jason mulled that over before saying anything. "I hope she burns in hell."

"She probably is." The man in the picture said. "She probably is."

Jason went back to reading.

A list of charms, counter curses, Curses, hexes, jinxes, and spells I have gathered over the years are as follows:

Pluvia Nubes- creates a rain cloud. Can be used to make a small one to go over someone's head, or a larger size, just depends on how much magic you use to create it.

Arenae- creates a sandstorm. Strength and duration depend on how much magic you use to create it.

Inundatio- creates a flood. Again, depends on how much magic you use.

Noch Noctis- knocks an individual out for up to three hours.

Mundare- purification spell. It purifies cursed objects with the exception of a Horcrux. Those must be destroyed with magic stronger than the Horcrux itself .

Timeo- generates an aura of fear around you that causes you to look like your opponent's worst nightmare.

Vocare- a summoning charm that brings the target to you as if wrapped in chains.

Machgora Saurena- a counter spell that can remove weak to moderate poisons. See a healer for anything more severe than food poisoning.

Revelarus- a counter spell that removes illusions or transfiguration magic revealing their true form. Doesn't work on werewolves or vampires.

Beru Lugne- a spell that soothes and calms its target. It can affect creatures depending on their size.

Jelleio- a somewhat comical, yet dangerous, spell that turns the target into jam. The effects last for a day. I do not recommend eating.

Jason closed the book and opened it again before reading that last spell. He closed the book again. Yeah. He'd read that correctly, and he had one question... why? He opened the book again and read the final spell she'd written down.

Sofus- creates a Storm of epic proportions. Make sure that when you cast this spell you are willing to live with the consequences.

Jason looked at the journal. He had a few more pages to read so he figured that he'd read the rest of it.

I just returned from Tibet. I partook in training to make me stronger, and I did indeed become stronger. I have been given a new set of robes to conceal my new identity. Along with my new robes came a new wand, new spells, and a new purpose. I am to cull the filth that runs around the streets of England. Filth doesn't mean the poor, the muggles, the muggleborns, the half-bloods, or the "Blood Traitors". The filth I have to cull are the cruel, the wicked, the evil, the vile. They are the ones I need to cull, and I know who they are.

Of the new spells I learned, I learned how to cast a Patronus. The incantation is 'Expecto Patronum'. To cast this spell, you hold your wand out, and make a circular movement with your hand, but don't complete the circle. Instead keep going straight from the point that you would complete the circle.

Jason didn't bother practicing since he'd already learned the Patronus charm.

My Patronus is a Siren. The mythical creatures who would lure men to their deaths with the beauty of their voices.

Jason turned the page.

I also learned the charm to turn another into an animal and the art of animal shifting. The form I take when I animal shift is a Siren. That is going to be fun to use. I have learned that while in my human form I have gained the ability to seduce men, and some women.

'Huh.' Jason thought. 'I wonder what I've gained from my Animagus form?' Then a thought occurred to him. 'Does Professor McGonagall like catnip outside her cat form? I need to try this.' On the paper he wrote.

Get catnip to test on Professor McGonagall. FOR SCIENCE!

He laughed at that and went back to reading.

Tonight, was the Hogwarts reunion. I can't believe it's been ten years already. This is going to sound so damned girly, but... I met someone at the reunion. We're meeting for tea next week. If my parents ever found out that I was courting a girl, and a "blood traitor" at that... oh. My mother would flay me alive and feed what's left to the Dementors. I kind of like the fear this produces. Maybe I'll bring Felicia over some time and see how much I can get away with.

Jason couldn't help but laugh. His great aunt had some balls, and not because she could switch gender with a flick of her wand or by drinking a potion. She was pretty gutsy. He kept reading as he wanted to know more.

Merlin's beard. If Taurus knew about Felicia and I, then he would tease me relentlessly for acting like one of those prim and proper schoolgirls that get flushed when a dashing rogue throws them a flower. But I can't help it. Not after I discovered her secret... Felicia Todd is just like me.

Jason stopped reading and looked up. "What. The. Hell." He swore. "My parents were related!"

"Welcome ta th' Club lad." The picture said.

Jason kept reading, mostly because he was almost done with the book.

Bloody hell. What Felicia can do...

Jason skimmed the page, so he didn't have to read about his grandmother's/sometimes grandfather's torrid love life. He skimmed over the next two pages which talked about their experiments with the gender swapping spells and potions. There was a spell that Felicia created that gave a woman a... He turned the page. He didn't want to think about his grandmothers having sex. That was worse than the thought of his parents having sex or... he shuddered... Bruce having sex. The final two pages were worth reading though.

Taurus has found a nice Witch. Like Felicia, she is a "Blood traitor", but he loves her, and they have my blessing, as Felicia and I have his blessing. We have decided that when we get married, we will take our spouses names. I will take the name Lyra Sheila Todd, and Taurus will take the name. Taurus Willis Haywood. We have decided that we will have no contact with each other until our family changes their minds or dies out. Seeing as they won't, I sadly do not see Taurus and I seeing each other again except in passing. Not really a good way to live, but we'll manage.

I have just one thing to say in closing. If you desire something, then you have to fight for it. Don't let anyone tell you what you can and can't do, how you can and can't live. You need to figure that out for yourself and remember. Sometimes you have to break the rules to do what's right. Don't give up no matter what happens. If someone tries to break you, break them, humiliate them, end them.

Jason closed the book and rubbed his eyes. He wrote down Lyra's final words for Draco and put it in his trunk. Then he went upstairs to see if he could find the books she wrote.

Draco

Draco and Sirius walked to Diagon Alley and stopped off at Gringotts. They walked in and walked up to a teller.

"I need access to my vault!" Draco said harshly.

Sirius tapped him on his shoulder and shook his head.

"I mean. I need access to my vault." He said calmer.

"Name." The Goblin said.

"Malfoy. Draco Malfoy."

"I am sorry." The Goblin said. "But access to that Vault has been changed to anyone who is of age and older."

"What do you mean!" Draco snapped.

Again, Sirius tapped him on the shoulder and shook his head.

"I mean. What do you mean?" Draco asked calmly.

"They account is closed to you." The Goblin said. "Next."

"Wait! What! Why!"

"Allow me to handle this." Sirius said stepping up to the counter. "I need to access my vault if you please."

"Name?"

"Sirius Black."

"Of course. Right This way Mr. Black." The Goblin said getting off his stool.

Sirius and Draco followed the Goblin to a cart. They boarded the cart and were off. The cart made clanking noises as they rode through the rows and rows of vaults.

"WHY THE NOISE!" Draco yelled.

"YOU'LL SEE!" Sirius yelled back.

They continued on deeper, and deeper into the vaults when they heard rushing water.

"WHAT'S..." Draco began only for Sirius to slap a hand over his mouth and duck their heads as water came crashing down on top of them. When they passed through the waterfall, they sputtered water and heard a roar.

"KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN!" Sirius yelled.

"WHAT! WHY!" Draco yelled back.

"THAT!" Sirius pointed at a large pale dragon.

"WHAT THE FU..." Draco was cut off as the Dragon roared at them.

The cart came to a stop, and they stepped out. They walked up to a large metal door and the Goblin ran his finger along the lock.

"If anyone but a Goblin were to do that..." Sirius said. "...they'd be sucked into the room probably never to be seen again."

Draco gulped.

They walked into the vault and Draco's jaw dropped. The Black family Vault was completely filled to the brim with stacks of gold, jewels, jewel encrusted swords, shields, and daggers; precious metals, statues, books, parchment, and scrolls that seemed like they were hundreds of thousands of years old; Skins of beasts, canes, wands, material, silks, chests overflowing with gold, jewelry, and other assorted treasures, and an honest to Merlin pirate ship.

"Yeah." Sirius said when he saw Draco looking at it slack jawed. "Blackbeard." He said before walking over to the canes. He tossed one to Draco and picked another one up. "Luna has been wanting a cane. I think that she'll like this one." He showed Draco a cane with a niffler carved into the handle. Draco looked at his and saw a clawed foot with an orb in its clutches carved into the handle. Sirius walked over to a chest and shrunk it down till it was hand sized. He cast a featherweight charm on it and placed it in his pocket. Then he did the same to another chest and tossed it Draco. "Catch. I suppose that's compensation for being forced to live with Lucy for fifteen years."

"This is... I don't know what to say."

"Usually, a thank you does the job."

"This is so much more than Just a simple thank you."

"Then how about you make the Malfoy name actually mean something other than just someone with a lot of money. Do some good for the world. And take your girl out for a good time sometime. I'm not saying right now, but when the time is right."

"I will."

"Then let's go. I need to find Harry the Perfect birthday gift."

They left Gringotts and headed down the street.

"Where to first?" Sirius asked.

"Madam Malkin's." Draco said.

"Then let's go."

They walked to Madam Malkin's Robes for all occasions. When they arrived, they had to wait for a minute since Madam Malkin was the only one there.

"Good afternoon." Madam Malkin said.

"Morning Mary." Sirius Said. "This young man needs a new wardrobe."

Mary Malkin looked at Draco. "Of course, of course. Is it your back-to-school wardrobe?"

"No Madam Malkin. This is for everyday use. My father has effectively kicked me out of the family until I stop seeing Clara, and I that won't be happening for a while."

Madam Malkin looked so proud, but so sad. "I'm sorry to hear that Draco."

Draco simply nodded.

"Now. What can I make for you?"

"I need seven robes for the days of the week, a set of dress robes, a set of nice, casual robes, a set of sturdy robes for traveling, a traveling cloak, and a robe for the bathroom."

"Very well." Madam Malkin said writing down what Draco needed. "Anything particular you want me to do with them?"

"Make them like Jason Todd's with all of his pockets and stuff but make them out of whichever material Sirius uses."

Madam Malkin blinked. "Oh my. That's a lot of work, and you're not going to have them made out of silk?"

"I'll pay for the work, I'll pay double for the work if that's necessary, and no. I refuse to have anything to do with my father's house."

"Very well. Let me take your measurements. Come pick them up at the end of the day."

"Thank you." Draco said.

"Thanks, Mary." Sirius said as she led Draco to the back to take his measurements.

Sirius had been waiting for two minutes before the bell rang. He turned to look at the new patron and saw the last person he wanted to see.

"Sirius." Lucius Malfoy said contemptuously.

"Lucy." Sirius said disdainfully. "What are you doing here?"

"Not That it's any of Your business, because it's not, but I'm looking for Draco. He's been seen with a filthy half-breed, and I'm here to try and make him see sense."

"How so?" Sirius asked. "Did your Dementor fail to do the job?"

Lucius eye twitched ever so slightly. "I'm not sure what you mean."

"I'm sure you don't. Anyway, he's not here."

"If I want your opinion, I'll ask for it. Not that I believe you anyway. You're known for taking in strays."

Sirius reached for his wand but stopped as he felt a wand touch his throat.

"It's simply adorable that you think you can match magic with me dear cousin." Lucius said. "It would appear that ten years in Azkaban has made you slow."

"It was twelve!" Sirius snapped. "And all because of your master's bootlicker!"

"Wormtail has been dealt with." Lucius snarled. "He was a coward and a traitor! Just like you."

"I never betrayed anyone!" Sirius snapped. "I also never bent over for a murderers wand, if you catch my drift."

Lucius glared at Sirius. "Let's see how confident you are without your tongue!" He snarled.

"Expeliarmus!" Three voices shouted.

Lucius went flying into a mannequin and the register before slumping to the floor.

Sirius looked around and saw Draco, Mary Malkin, and... "Tonks?" He asked.

"Wotcher cousin!" Tonks said. "I just got off of work and imagine my surprise when I say Lucy Malfoy with his wand to your throat. What was that all about?"

"Thanks." Sirius said. "Let's get out of here before Lucy wakes up, but first..."

When Lucius Malfoy woke up, he was wearing robes that were coarse and itchy. He looked in front of him to see himself in the mirror. He was wearing robes that he wouldn't be caught dead in; they were made out of... burlap. He shuddered at the thought and felt the hives start to cover his body. He looked at his face. Someone had drawn a curly Q mustache on his upper lip with a monocle on his right eye with a dotted line going from said monocle to under the rather itchy robes. On his forehead he had the word: LUCY spelled out in large bold letters. He looked down and saw that his left arm was uncovered revealing his Dark Mark. He opened his mouth to curse Sirius' name, but he saw that several of his teeth had been blacked out.

"BLACK!" He roared.

Sirius led Draco and Tonks to a Broom shop. "Tonks. Can you mind Draco? I have an errand to run."

"Yeah. Sure thing cousin."

"Thanks. Let's meet up at the Leaky Cauldron." He said before leaving.

"So." Tonks said awkwardly. "What kind of Broom are you looking for?"

"Well... I want a Firebolt, but only because Potter and Todd have one, but I don't want a Nimbus 2001 because of my dad. I want something new."

"New did you say?" A salesman said. "If you're looking for something new then I have just the broom for you."

"Really? What is it?"

"A Besenstiel. This Little Beauty, This Little gem, This Little Diamond in the rough is the newest Broom to hit the market. It was created by a couple of retired German Quidditch players. They didn't like their brooms, so they made their own, then when they retired, they began production on the Besenstiel brooms."

"Tell us more about it." Tonks said.

"Well miss..." the man said. "...the Besenstiel has the speed of a Firebolt and the maneuverability of the Nimbus brooms."

"How much?" Tonks asked.

"500 Galleons."

"Too much for my blood." Tonks whistled.

"I'll take ten." Draco said taking out his chest.

Tonks looked at him in shock, while the salesman looked like he wanted to kiss him.

"Todd says that I need to stop being an ass hole." Was his only response.

"Like, in those exact words?"

"No, but close enough."

With the purchase of the brooms, they left the store and headed for Flourish and Blotts to buy some reading material. Draco bought new editions of each years required reading so he could study with what little summer they had left.

"So." He spoke. "What do you think Potter would want for his Birthday?"

"Honestly, Harry hasn't ever been very big on physical items. He enjoys collecting memories, not that he wouldn't like a very well thought out present."

"Hmm." Draco thought. "Do you think that he would like a spell book filled with advanced spells?"

"Probably, but then again, he'd like pretty much anything that was well thought out."

Draco worked his lip as he tried thinking of what he could get Potter. Then inspiration struck and he felt like a fool. He knew just what he could get Potter.

"Jason on the other hand..." Tonks said. "...Ooh boy. Jason is in a class all his own."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean... Jason likes useful gifts, practical gifts. Gifts that he can use. Not that he'll turn a gift away, but the more practical the gift, the more likely he is to use it."

"I see." Draco said.

They left Flourish and Blotts with Draco's purchases and headed for the Leaky Cauldron. They sat down at a table and waited for Sirius.

Sirius walked through the Muggle section of the bookstore. He was looking for a specific book series, and he hoped that he found it. He looked through the shelves until found a thick book. He picked it up and opened the front cover to confirm his hopes. He walked to the counter and checked out.

He walked towards the Leaky Cauldron to wait for Draco and Tonks. When he arrived, he saw them waiting for him.

"Here you go." He said handing Draco the book. He watched Draco open the book.

"What's this?"

"Look at the front cover."

Draco opened the book. "The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. What is it?"

"It's a muggle book series. Hermione says that it's a classic. Imagine your father's reaction."

Draco smiled and put the book into his bag. "I'm ready to go if you guys are."

"Yeah." Tonks said. "Let's go."

Together they apparated to Number 12 Grimmauld Place.
