Chapter Two

The Thing From The Ocean

The camera focused on the giant lumbering beast walking out of the ocean. It was hundreds of feet tall and covered in thick hide. It's gaping colossal jaw exposed lines of teeth big enough to chew on cars.

Miss Louis Lane was boldly reporting the attack of this creature, the sixth this quarter.

Then, like a missile, a blue blur crossed the sky, colliding with the monster with an explosive sound. The beast took a step back, stunned, only to be hit again and again until it finally fell down, making a huge splash around it. As the waves approached the beach, they froze in place as the Superman blew at them. He then turned his attention back to the creature and started to pummel it to bloody pieces, but not before the journalist cut it back to the studio, where the anchorman talked about the recent sea monster attacks on the east coast of the United States and west European beaches, and how the Man of Steel had been protecting America while the mysterious Wonder Woman protected Europe.

Back to the coast, Superman wanted to dive deep and find where these monsters kept coming from, but the wailing of a siren drew him away to another emergency.
